  2. I've had two giant ass storms destroy everything I've worked hard for, the end of Aegis and the end of Asulon. I managed to come out alright. Anyone that's ever used the shop plug-ins has survived many more. Let's see some more storms and flat out liars up in here. :P
  3. Earthquakes and silverfish infestations. :P
  4. Yes. Burn Lenfarthing to the ground. There will be butthurt over this, but most of the butthurt players live in fortresses and castles where they're less likely to be affected by storm damage. Real men live in farm houses.
  5. I'll withhold all of the diamond exploits to ensure that the Halflings corner the market.

  6. Smoke bombs are cool. I recall on the build server there was a custom item smoke bomb that was an enderpearl that released firework sparkles when thrown. Something like this would be a nice visual and there could be perhaps a blindness effect to those immediately around the impact. There might be instances of abuse, sure, but those could be handled with strikes and whatnot. This is just something that would be really nice to have in a rogue's arsenal.
  7. Cut off their claws and yoke them to a grinding mill.
  8. Are saddles craftable yet?

I disdain the existence of Freema's shop. No thanks.

You could try rp making one with iron, leather, ect. I mean I'm not sure a Gm will give you one :/ But it's worth a shot.

The next MC update is going to include craft-able saddles.

  9. *passes the lotion bottle* I really got a kick out of this lore, particularly the stone and clay philosophy. I've always preferred your style and approach to dwarven lore.
  10. It's also a decent enough excuse to release netherwarts into the realm.
  11. Just went to wilderness after being inactive for a couple months. What a disaster.

  12. I think it's better if you not only remove the artifact from the history, but remove all understanding of what caused the trolls to become what they are from the history as well. This would allow more room for legends and the trolls themselves could argue with one another over a pot of man-stew over what their origins might be. Sometimes it's nice to have some things left unsaid in story-telling. As for the sunlight turning them to stone, I would say let the sunlight turn them into stone and then have them return to their natural state once darkness falls. This allows more wiggle-room for RP and players encountering a stone troll would have limited time to decide what to do with it before it would eventually regain it's mobility at dusk and begin smashing at them again. This just leaves a lot more doors open for role-play, rather than a one-shot kill.
  13. Okay, so let's be honest. How many of you are sprint-hopping the map with stacks of bread?
  14. ((This makes me squee.))
  15. Anyone else getting bad/wierd server lag/kicks?

  16. Horses? Great. How many more updates after that do we have to wait for a craftable saddle, eh Jeb?

Jeb tweeted a pic of the "sneak peak" of 1.6, it was a picture of a horse and some lady.

Jeb's twitter feed. He's enlisted the help of the Mo'Creatures creator to help code them.

  17. I love this. Ran across a tomb just the other day that would be perfect for this sort've thing. Creepy as hell.
  18. Is there any solid lore for Forest Dwarves? Or just the vague mention of them within the subrace descriptions?

Thanks a ton. I'm like a day one new kid trying to catch up on dwarven lore.

  19. Is that what those numbers were?
  20. You know you're retired when you're Most Active In: Asulon Role-Play Archive

  21. I don't understand why a Native American should take offense to this. The lore draws heavily from Native Americans and Dothraki and strikes me as fairly similar to the Subudai. Nomadic cultures in both real life and fiction run fairly parallel. There is usually an outcast barbarian element to these cultures as they relate to more civilized societies. Honestly man, screw waiting for approval. Just rally your people up and march into the wilderness and make it happen. You don't need approval to get tatted up, ride your horses into the wilderness and live free. Just do it from scratch and there's nothing anyone can tell you otherwise, so long as it all happens through role-play. The only reason you'd need approval for this is if you're establishing it as if it's a pre-existing culture that's been around for a long while with centuries of history involved. If you're starting fresh and establishing the culture from scratch, there's really nothing anyone can say. Start out on day one as the first of the outcasts. Then meet up one by one and form a band of nomads and develop your culture from there. No approval needed, it just happens naturally over time. Play how you want to play and do what's fun for you and your people. Don't let anyone sit here and nit-pick history lessons, crunch numbers and meta-game judgment. Just go make it happen, keep it within reason and enjoy yourselves.
  22. I had a Christmas List once, it was awful.
