  1. This is great, Thank you. However, Please don't reveal the identity of who places auctions on the auctioneers. It defeats the purpose of the secret sale. Some goods are best done with secrecy. And others use these auctions as a way to "Pass Notes" secretly as well....with the possibility that someone can still intercept them and start a new line of RP for them. +1 for Cruz also, I would love to see a "Book Preview" plugin someday in the advanced future after many other more important plugins. One that not only lets you preview pages from the auctioneers, but possibly shelf's, special chests, and maybe even shops. Such a thing would only be a Boon to bookstores and librarians. As it is currently, I have to write previews as a separate books, which is tedious and wastes resources. P.S. Cappy when your done with that 100% Legit book....can I have it for my library? Or at least read it? Such an expensive book must have valuable information to glean from its pages.
  2. One of the giant hurdles I see all the time for new players is. Learning what is going on in current events. Completely throw out the window that they will have an accurate knowledge of ancient history. I have encountered players upon my travels. Veterans who started playing in Asulon mind you. That couldn't remember who Aeriel was.......Or Availer, and they made note of Blundermore as the old wizard who makes trinkets. I would like to see a total removal of character history from the application. As the signs read when you step into this world. It is a birth for your character. You shouldn't be expected to know much, which gives you a chance to learn and grow IC vs OOCly. Removing character history would only help new players, as they could start from scratch and although they can still have personality's fleshed out a bit, they will soon find they are shaped by the world which they have entered and not by a per-determined focus. Heck, when I first was asked to join. I created a young Elvish woman, who was raised by Dwarves and sold fabulous soup for a living.....It only took me 2 days to realize that no one wanted to buy soup and quickly change my direction.....'Many thanks to Availer for the nudge.'
  3. *A note is pinned to the wall of the Boutique "Finest workmanship I have experienced in hundreds of years. If I could see into the future I would certainly see anyone wearing these fine attires doing very well....(and looking sexy)" -Leyu'Maehr
  4. I have a suggestion for you, It will both help you to keep the list updated and make it something useable ingame without worry about meta-gaming and such frowned upon rule breakings. Why don't you change this list to a RP thread calling for all teachers and students of magic "who wished to be known" send you a letter describing what they are willing to teach, requirements and how they may be found. It would greatly help new players find teachers who are actually accepting students, and teachers who are not from being listed. You may optionally list "rumored" teachers for those more difficult to find, or who wish to be known to the list but without giving details. You wouldn't even need to post this with your character per say, you could have an alternate "Forum Scribe" just for such a duty.
  5. Let me know when your available for 10-15min and I'll give you a tour of my heart.

  6. I'm curious also why the Humans were 'forced' together, while the Elves were left separate? Not that I mind either way, just curious. :) Well then....Just go ahead and ignore all that since Native posted his comment while I was typing this :) Yaaa go 4.0!
  7. ^We need more of this, too few people seek company while traveling, Slow road travel RP is some of my favorite.
  8. Agreed, I have been in the wilds often for long periods of time since this update. Added a good bit of torches and barriers to my normal lines of defense. Station a few bows with a stockpile of arrows around safety huts. Stockpile extra food and resources. This keeps me from being lazy in the wilds, something that I'm afraid to say had been happening far to often.
  9. I"m pretty sure anything that requires you to break something someone else has built, is above standard villainy and requires OOC permission, an Event, or GM present. Otherwise people would run around tearing down whatever they feel like. Lockpicking is still fine, as long as you RP it with non-lwc chests, or those with only signs stating "A heavy iron lock is placed here" I'm not aware of the heat map issue, can you clarify more on that?
  10. *Smiles as she listens to Feanor speak whispering to herself. "Mali need more like this, devoted to sacrifice. Such words will go beyond today's march...that is for certain."
  11. *Leyu looks up to Kalameet from the garden of carrots she is helping tend. "What shall you do with the High Council when you are finished? What conditions of peace do you seek?"
  12. I hope that wasn't your work lol.

  13. A few small fixes then back up again.

  14. Though clarification should not be needed, I'll ask anyway as many people tend to bend this rule. Does this new revision of the rule apply to deaths by mobs as well. While it seems plainly obvious as a yes by reading it, many players feel its acceptable to return to the place of death if a no rp death occurred by mob, or very unfortunate accident. The case that comes to mind was a person rping, getting knocked off the cliffs of Oren's Keep by use of a certain spell 'accidentally' striking them. We all felt it fair that they should have their items returned, but a slight disagreement as to rather it should be returned RPly or just letting them return and continue RPing. Call me old school if you wish, but I'd rather let the RP flow and try to explain unfortunate accidents with humorous RP than void anything Ever.
  15. I'd like to see a plugin that makes hostile mobs seek out those who PK, based on this idea. The more you kill players the more blood on your hands, the greater the desire for the un-natrual creatures to taste your blood. That would make villains think twice before taking anthers life.
  16. RP your ranger as if zombies attacked in secluded areas. Sometimes we need to pull our-self away from how a ranger would act in our world, and remember that Anthos is a totally different world. In WWII soldiers could not grasp the concept of children joining the army and shooting at them. They had been raised to never harm women or children and had great inner conflicted when forced to face their beliefs. In such a destruction ridden world such as Anthos, surely all citizens are a bit more keen, and most carry with them at least a small dagger for protection against the unknown.
  17. I couldn't help but notice your interest in Auburn, and Colts photos...I lived much of my life in Fort Wayne and Kendallville. Small world.

  18. This make soulstones complicated, If everyone uses the roads they become safer from mobs, and more dangerous from bandits. If everyone uses soulstones to get from place to place, getting there the first time is very tricky "at least at night" and safe afterwards. I love it.
  19. *A small tear is shed at the wisdom displayed by the Administration. Although it might seem obvious to all, these changes will play a very important role in LotC's future. Thank you for your deliberation, patience and wisdom.
  20. I love the GM's, but it would be far more interesting if the druids took this one. So long as they can muster enough active members to keep it going.
  21. Now you fully understand why I gave you a full set of music disks for your coronation Knox. May you play them well and be the envy of nobles across your lands. ~Teaching Oracles across the ages
  22. *Sends a bird addressed to Maehr'Celia hoping it reaches the correct person. After hearing a man bid 300 she erases her bid of 300, and writes 500 next to it. I shall bid 300 500 minas for such a treasure, and see they are well looked after, I wish to use them for gifts to those willing to learn the art of Alchemy. Send word to me if this is acceptable. -Leyu'Maehr
  23. *Listens to the auctioneer carefully thanking him for the kind advice. "Hmm i am glad that you can confirm such details, far to often I have received books of little value simple titled to look interesting." *Speaks softly to the auctioneer "The next time you see this person, let them know I would likewise wish to read a copy. I can not afford such large sums of minas as many others for certain, but that does not mean such a meeting would not benefit us both should they find another copy laying around." ((I agree Jistuma, it is quite annoying such things, but fear not I will be seeking out these book frauds and through the use of Auramancy will see them brought to justice should Oren or Malinor's court find them committing a crime. As for this tome, I'll let the Auctioneer speak on my behalf before committing such an effort to track the seller down. After all, if they wish to remain anonymous It is not for me to say otherwise.))
  24. *Notes the interesting weapon, Glances at her own collection of interesting weapons and armor noting 2 weapons of such color. "Such a material is rare, but perhaps not worth such a price, Unless it also carry's an interesting history, History is worth far more to me than any blade......And what is with all these 4 fingered weapons lately? I should very much like to meet the four fingered smith if such a man exists."
