The Republic of Carthage: Gold: Provinces (180 x 2) = 360 Resources/Trade (9+80 x2) = 178 Gold from last page= 5 360+178+5 = 543 bags of gold. Scouting/Settlement: The Carthaginian scouts who were exploring the west move down even further west into what is now Morroco. Carthaginian ships move into northern Spain, or modern day Barcelona, loaded with scouts and settlers. Scouts move west of Cadiz, along with eager settlers hoping for a new life. Carthage also funds more settling along the coast of Africa. 50 bags of gold are given to the settlers and scouts. (Made a map to show where im scouting and settling. The black arrows are scouts, and the kind of pinky colored in bits are the potential settlements being made) Army: Standing Army: 10 Poeni Infantry 10 Baelaric Slingers 1 War Elephant Unit 2 Heavy cavalry 3 Cavalry Archers 10 Heavy Infantry + 2 War Elephants (-32 gold) + 10 Heavy Infantry (- 60 Gold) + 10 Poeni Infantry (-30 Gold) + 4 Catapults (-80 gold) +8 Heavy Cavalry (-96 Gold) Remaining Gold: 245 Diplomacy: Carthage heard the cry of Cadiz, and offered it protection. The Lusotani are warned against attacking the city, and Cadiz is offered vassilization. A missive is sent to the Numidians, asking if they could hire some of the Fabled Numidian Cavalry as mercenaries. The Carthaginians accept the Ptolemains offer, and receive 54 Gold, They request if they are allowed to dock their navy in Maltas ports. A trade deal is sent to the Raetii, knowing of their location from Roman traders and diplomats. Final Treasury: 249 Gold (Adding on the gold from egypt, the other 50 went to the settlers, as mentioned above)

The Republic of Carthage Gold: 18 + 44x2 = 106. Scouting: The Carthaginian scouts are sent further east and west from the Gamanites and Nubians, hoping to find other civilisations across Africa's coast. In the Baelaric Islands, Carthage sends a large amount of settlers, with a 20 gold stimulus from the government, to sail north to find suitable land (Around where is now Barcelona), They are backed up with a unit of infantry, and to establish a trading city/fort to make territorial gains in Iberia. From the newly built shipyard, Carthages navy is also sent to scout around the Mediterrinian, in hopes of finding islands (such as Malta) In sardinia, The Carthaginians settle further north, to try and bring the whole island under Carthage's control. Diplomacy: The offers of trade from Macedon and Egypt are accepted hastily. An offer of vassalization is sent to the Garmanites and Numidians, stating that they will be protected from potential aggresion from other kingdoms, and a fairly similar culture to each other. The Republic of Carthage: Gold: (Gonna carry it on from the 2 pages, and assume I have 7 provinces if I include the islands I have colonies on, like sicily) 50 + 35 (from provinces, Apparently carthages bonus is more gold from provinces) + 9 (from resources), also plus the 2 pages makes for 2 more lots of 44, which is 173 Gold overall. (Hope I got this right, not good at maths :C) Hamilcar, recently elected into the head of the Carthaginian Republic, immediately got to business. The first matter was to expand Carthages borders. They were mostly small, and her colonies were mostly only trade focused. A new port is to be built in Carthage, Along with a shipyard to extend its naval power. (-65 Gold), and A band of war elephants is taken into the army (-16 gold). 10 units of Poeni Infantry and Baelaric Slingers are recruited into the army, costing 50 bags of gold. 2 units of Heavy cavalry are recruited also. (-24 gold) Scouts are sent out into North africa, out of Carthages lands, and settlers are sent into the Coast of Spain and Corsica, And also east of their lands in Sicily to extend their domain further. The carthaginians are left with 18 bags of gold, to be saved for future use. The Carthaginians agree to trade with rome, as it would help bolster both countries economies, and perhaps a military alliance would be good for later. (Sorry, had to write this up quickly on my phone, expect better posts this weekend, hopefully :P)
