4.0 won't fail because there weren't many risks taken. It will be like the previous maps, and I don't have a problem with that. 4.0 is a big change for the server, and some people assume that means others will change their perspective, and maybe be nicer. In reality, nobody becomes nicer, or changes much other than what they already would have with natural progression. Or if they do change it is only temporary, then they go back to either taking RP as RP, or taking RP as OOC. So 4.0 will neither "kill" LOTC nor "Save" it. Also, 1+ to your post above me, people with nostalgia glasses need to be told that.
