  1. Once more a crisis averted, still some should be accountable for the bans imposed; even if temporary. But as the fun saying goes, get rid of one evil man and they'll find someone even worse to replace him.

    Be mindful.

  2. Interesting to read the status updates from players here. Frankdh and Bethinwonderland; wonder what they have to say about all these temporary bans with the messages of "Touch grass" and "Drink some tea". Do you believe they were just 'following orders'? Were they coerced into imposing these bans from the previous Moderation Admin? Do you feel they were necessary given the circumstances that've been brought to light?
  3. "Trust the process" is just another phrase for "Deal with it". Good luck with it all, but don't expect anything.
  4. I'll try to be as constructive as I can be.. Medical RP was one of the more sought after forms of RP due to their relatively important position on a wide variety of circumstances and situations, often being brought to events and warclaims to assist on the battlefield. It's nice when you've got people to watch your back while you're doing what you need to do (Medical RP). However, there's only so far that you can go with it and with said limitation; becomes stale. Certainly you can and should incorporate Alchemy to your Medical RP, it just does nothing but enhance the very aspect of how you can RP it. I've not experienced Medical RP at this present time because I don't play anymore.. But from what you're saying, seems like people are kinda just on the sidelines, shrugging their shoulders and saying "Meh." It's too stale, it's the same thing over and over and over again. There are a select few who would be happy just doing Medical RP and nothing else. There are others who get their fix by delving into many other tasks and professions and others just don't dabble in Medical RP at all unless it becomes absolutely necessary to do so. (Bout to kick the dookie bucket) BUT, do what you do. Shrug.
  5. Server went through a lot since you've been on hiatus. You're currently comparing gold nuggets (2013) to donkey dookie (now). It would take many days of deep explanation to bring you fully up to speed on all of the terrible decisions that were made to bring LOTC to this current and sad state; but as the saying goes, dookie rolls downhill, starts from the top. TL;DR (It's not a TL;DR) LOTC Sold, money grabs were more important than a stable community; people being placed into positions they never should have been placed in, only driving the divide further. Temporary changes to try and fix the issues that the Veteran players have proclaimed would happen but were swiftly ignored; leaving them with very little choice but to search elsewhere for RP mediums, quality decreased, quantity increased; donations soared. Youtube Streamer gets brought in, LOTC turns into PVP factions server with more writing thus decreasing quality even more but increasing quantity and more donations. Skip to today and to quote Spaceballs. "Sanders, Sanders I don't know what to do! I can't make decisions! I'm a President!" ~President Skroob. (Current state of affairs.) P.S. Does this outfit make me look fat?
  6. Enjoy your freedom.
  7. Always bigger and better things; enjoy your freedom from this ball and chain!
  8. So.... You stopped audits when? Giving people you don't intimately know the power to moderate and then ceasing auditing of server commands and functions? I mean, congratulations at actually spotting a problem in a massive pool of issues that have and continue to plague this server over a GRAND number of years. You're right about one thing, no staff team is perfect. Probably about the most truthful statement I've ever heard a staff member exclaim. Why also is there leniency with staff members when they deliberately do something that a non-staff player would get gutted instantly for 'abuse'? Shows favoritism does it not? And if there's a bug in the system that 'just so happens' to duplicate an item, and the staff member doesn't discard said item and report the bug; isn't that bug abuse? Leniency ESPECIALLY in staff teams will breed a false sense of security in the actions that they're doing. (Hence your kabash /after/ the reports have been made.) What's with flexibility in rules and consequences? That in and of itself is a huge flaw, you're opening the opportunity for favoritism again to be the foundation of moderation decision. If two players break the same rule with the same exact severity and there's no concrete and hard written consequence.. One player may get a more severe punishment than the other; just based upon the staff member who whacked them with the judgement hammer; along with the staff member's own bias, personal feelings and external influences. It may only be me and I speak for myself; I feel there's very little confidence in the staff teams in this present time. There are plenty of complaints that you can read through just on the status posts alone. Don't take my word for it though, staff know my position on this subject matter very well. Just be more proactive in this stuff; instead of waiting for reports to come in and /then/ investigating. Proactive actions are much better than reactive actions.
  9. This reminds me of that one Russian guy who suggested using dry ice as a method for air conditioning.....

  12. Java, we've had a problem!

  13. 59 members and still there are retention issues? Eeesh. F bro.

  14. Take your OOC vendetta elsewhere Owl. With every single FW post, amendment or proposal you have creeped in like a dog begging for scraps. Dio is not well so leave him alone. Once he's better, he'll respond to you; maybe.
  15. No, was not asked for by the FW to community to amend, was not needed by the FW community to justify amending, spoke with ONE other witch before posting amendment proposal. The community doesn't want this.
  16. Brilliant idea; if ST are allowed to implement PK clauses during events, we should be able to implement ST resignation clauses if the ST fails the event. Don't worry, we'll make it worth their while.

Let's talk about in in VC so we can scream profanities at each other like real boys do.

  17. The President of the United States of America agrees that we have too many ST. Must reduce numbers. (The guy has no idea what he's talking about 95% of the time but we're in the lucky 5% of mental sanity :3  )

  20. Upon horseback, a brunette woman with a red cloak, fair complexion and icy blue eyes reads the missive; eyes widening at the naming of an individual before she would release a cackle. Her frigid hand would gently graze the missive before she takes an aggressive hold of it; tearing it down from the wall and shoving it into the saddle bag on her horse. "Oh Sarryn... Seems we have much to discuss; especially in these days where people are slandering your name." The woman's flesh cracked slightly, the fog rolling off of her in that warmer climate. She'd flip the reigns and ride off to send a letter.
  21. I would like to assume that the staff have discretion when it comes to dishing out short or long term bans. Then again, we all know what happens when we assume. With that being said, in my opinion; there should be a set statute of limitations. Getting banned today for something that was posted or said three years ago is pretty shady on the part of the Moderation.. Culture shifts, people view things as offensive as the culture shifts. Something I post today could be viewed as highly offensive in two years; would I deserve a ban for that? I understand that LOTC is able to do what they can with what they have in terms of staff volunteering; we are not the greatest pool of candidates as this community is toxic in almost every form and corner of the platform. So then, you're left with choosing the lesser of the two evils; whom as always are human and are subject to make mistakes and bad judgement calls. No Moderator is a perfect Moderator, it's impossible. Policy amendments and reforms do help, especially if they're enforced from the top because things roll downhill. Consistency has been an ongoing problem with many of the staff teams, I feel though we're headed in the right direction after so very long, though.. With my observations and correct me if I'm wrong; nothing seems to get done without a mass public outcry or outing of people on a public report. That is an issue as well, but carry on!
  22. In short, you are able to view the template that moderators use to dispense various actions by simply scrolling up to the top of the forums page and clicking on the tab that says "Rules", scroll down a little bit and you'll see the table.
