  1. Dizzy laughs at the words of Uldar, shaking his head sadly "Know ye not'in o-our 'oleh brat'mordakin lad? Tu process o-breakin a deadlock in election beh tu allow tu brat'mordakin tu decide, an t'at es just w'at weh did. Ye spit in tu face o-Armakak, tu Merchant Fat'er, an Yemekar, t'e maker. It saddens meh t'at beardlings are nae taught about our religion anehmore. Ye would know t'at Yemekar blessed all tu gold o-t'a world an entrusted et tu Armakak. Not a single coin-o gold passes t'rough existance t'at dussnae bear tu touch o-Armakak, an luck beh 'is game. Luck 'es nae a trivial t'ing, et be tu blessin o-Armakak tu t'a wort'iest o-dwed."
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OGGOWCOLL8 As the light of dawn breaks over the grand peaks of the Dwarven Mountains the gates of Kal’Karaad lurch open like the maw of a terrible beast. Dwarves set about their daily duties, mining, smithing, training, and of course drinking. As the day progresses a congregation of dwarves gather in the center of the city, chating, boasting, yelling, and laughing with one and other. From the forge a single dwarf emerges, carrying with him an object wrapped in cloth. Heads turn towards him as he stops before them, standing on even grounds with all. “Greetings, my fellow dwed. Many of you know me, perhaps as a friend, perhaps a past Grand King, or a Hero of the Brathmordakin, and perhaps even a rival. However….. I do not claim to be greater than any of you, for it is not my right to be. I am only myself, Dizzy Irongrinder. As you all know I have been nominated once again for the crown of this Grand kingdom. I come here to speak today, not as a candidate, not as a previous king, and not as anything but a dwed as all of you are.” He pauses briefly, gazing across the faces of the gathered dwarves “I come not in hopes of swaying minds in favour of myself, but rather to appeal to you, my kinsmen. Vote not for the one with the silver tongue and biggest promises, but for the one who will keep true in heart the value of each and every dwed, and who will preserve Yemekars balance.” A slight smile creases his face as a glimmer of light shines from his eye “We are a race who has seen many things. The rise and fall of both kings and monsters, gods and empires. We are a race who, throughout everything, endures. We are a proud and noble race, who must keep the ideal of peace and prosperity for all living things alive. We need not prisoners and slaves, we have no need. We need not conquest of kingdoms and mountains of riches, we have our own of each. For what end do we an empire? For what end do we need more death and bloodshed?” He gazes out into the crowd, briefly locking eyes with many dwarves before speaking once more “What we need… is courage. The courage to be compassionate. The courage to be understanding. We as dwarves must be committed to Yemekars balance… something not achieved with arms and armor, but with the idea that all things can live in harmony. We must be a light amongst the dark, the bulwark of Athera against those who wish harm upon others.” He turns and points towards the throne room “A king is only a king, if he serves the people. So I urge the people to abandon the notions of conquest and expansion, and instead take up that of a brighter land… for all of us.” Looking through the crowd he spots each of the other candidates in turn, nodding to them “I do not claim to be the one to lead our people to be this force of righteousness. No, that is for the Brathmordakin to decide. I wish not even for the crown, but only for my words now to be heard and understood. I have nothing but respect for each of the candidates, and can wish them nothing but good luck.” Unraveling the cloth covered object in which he carries he grips it tightly, thrusting it towards the heavens. A glimmering shine reflects of the surface of an ornate warhammer, so fine as to be called flawless “Amoruk Eron Ok Khazadmar.” “Heart of the Dwarves” “A symbol for our next Grand King. A symbol to signify the trust of our people. May Yemekar guide it to worthy hands” Giving a slight bow he leaves the congregation of dwarves to discuss amongst themselves
  3. Well, unless you said some really hurtful things about someones nan, I doubt you'd just be on a region that someone would blatantly kick you off of at the drop of a hat
  4. Ok, correction from administration time! Got this cleared up now. Yes, the region owner/moderator can have any chest in their region unlocked. Sorry for the confusion
  5. The somewhat "Official" policy is that if you are NOT on the plot, they can have your chests unlocked, it is their plot. If you ARE on the plot, then we normally ask why the chests need unlocking and why the owner can't just contact the chest owner. Sometimes I'll get something valid like "We're building here, just wanna move it over there" so I watch them move the chests, other times its like "He, uh, is keeping an item of mine" yea.... thats not really gonna fly. As for being kicked off the plot? I haven't heard of it yet, and its been our system for a while. I doubt you could get your plot owner angry enough to kick you off the plot and steal your stuff unless you where really trying for it.
  6. "Excellent, because tu onleh documented prestige ah can foind es t'is document" https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E3280T-PqPBw1dfCXTI-L6BRlhTaMrMlFqwLn7rz3GQ/edit#gid=0 "Which shows tu Frostbeards at dree 'undred points below tu Irongrinders. Ye s'ould look more at tu Doomforged, t'ey got a decent bit"
  7. "May weh see tu current tally o-prestige?"
  8. Server is up, sorry 'bout that guys

  9. This issue was brought up by a certain individual in the ET chat and I will state here what I stated in the chat "Bottom line is this. If the players STILL believe the events are targeting and unfair in some capacity AFTER supremacy has preformed some of it, then we may take their concerns. It would not be fair to remove supremacy completely from his own events of course, and should a situation arise such as this I am certain such events could still be carried out under the supervision of a moderator or ET manager that the players feel is completely unbiased to the situation." I hope these are agreeable terms to both sides, the ET is here to give the server some fun and life after all. No need to be at each other for such minor things
  10. The distinctive rattle of plate fills the corridor as an armored figure enters. Nodding to each person in turn he takes a place next to the wall, saying nothing.
  11. Dizzy scratches his beard and shakes his head slightly looking over the ballot "A leave fer but a few stone days an tu w'ole bloodeh kingdom goes mad. T'ese candidates...." Dropping his head into his hands he sighs "Per'aps ah s'ould just go live in tu mountains by mehself somew'ere...."
  12. As a current GM... yea, pretty much. I'll drop this in GM chat though and see if something more "Official" can come of it. For now I would likely recommend following what sky said.
  13. "Aye now? Was our 'ome bein taken frum us an dwarven men, women, and children bein mercilessleh slaughtered by tu Ironborn an t'ere undead backing us "goin out lookin fer a foight"? Bah, t'is sounds more loike ye pitchin fer a fight tu satisfy yer own vaniteh."
  14. "Aye, vereh 'onorable tu begin foightin wit' ot'er races w'en Iblees an 'is cursed undead are breat'in down our necks. Makes sense tu meh"
  15. The problem with this is the amount of feedback we get at one time. Lets take a look at the latest situation. Kowaman created a thread in order to get feedback, and then said he would make some changes due to what was needed and what he gathered from feedback. He is the only coder working on the current plugin. Now its not even been a few hours and someone is already making another feedback thread about it.... we haven't even gotten to test the last one yet. Add this to the fact that several people will take any chance they get in order to re-state their own opinion and you get a large mess that we need to wade through to get to what really helps us. Think about these past two threads... thats two threads with at least 5 pages each. Every page is about 10 responses, and each response is about a paragraph. Thats 100 paragraphs for Kowaman, the sole coder for this plugin, to shift through and read. Please understand that staff are only human as well, and we can only respond to so much as once being bombarded at us.
  16. When situations such as that arise reasons are/will be provided to the player in question in a PM in order to maintain player privacy. Sometimes it takes a little to write the PM up (some mods are slow typers) If a similar situation where to arise again, I would recommend waiting a little while before trying to post a similar status. That only serves to make the situation worse.
  17. Communication between the players and the staff is something of the utmost importance for LotC, I am sure we can all agree on that. I will happily listen to whatever the players wish to say, and will recommend that other Mods read this thread and do the same, so long as everyone remains civil. Please note that several Mods and FM's will be monitoring this post, lets not get at each others throats now Eh?
