  2. The final tally will be counted by several officials, including the arbiter and the high prophet. These updates are unofficial and may be subject to change.
  3. ((Hid some posts before the drop out of Balek and Onar. If you voted for either please re-vote))
  4. ((The only real "restriction" is that you must be a "True son of Urguan" Aka 1. A dwarf and 2. Not banished))
  5. I quite like what we have now personally. Gives me that good fantasy vibe and its layed out pretty cleanly
  6. After reading over the notice Dizzy shakes his head sadly. An official reply is sent to both the king, and hung around the kingdom underneath the kings notices. “And what kind of dwarf would I be to accept an offer as such? The matters of my “Crimes” are of no concern to me. For should protecting the sacred arts be a crime, then I am a villain most foul.” “It pains me to say these words, for there are not ones to which I would like to speak about a king with…. but it must be done” “ I do not spit words of venom forth at the head crowned in order to overturn my own supposed crimes. Nay, rather I speak the truth, the thoughts of dwarves who live and work in fear of the oppression wrought by such a powerful regime. You claim that the law of Lese Majeste has never been used, but to what end is that? For if you should have condemned someone as such, they could very well have never been heard from again! The very fact that you would demand such an article be present in the first place is a insult to the honor of all dwarves. And it is not the only thing. One needs only look through the decrees and laws put forwards by the king and gaze upon the myriad of corruptions within. Observe one such corruption” ARTICLE II competencies and succession of the Crown of Urguan 9: The authority to enact and maintain a system of criteria used to judge and record the prestige of the official Clans of the Grand Kingdom “What does this matter you ask? ‘This is where it gets interesting’ I reply. ARTICLE VI The rights and Clans and Dwarves 2: The right to claim and operate a clan hall of reasonable size and value proportionate to the prestige and history of the clan “Wait, what was that? The king has sole power to create the very system which dictates the rights and claims of clans to their own clan halls you say? And that none others may have input on the matter? By the Brathmordakin, your right! ‘How do we know it cannot be warped in favour of certain clans’ I hear you cry. It is quite simple my friend...” “We cannot.” “That is not all, observe yet another ‘Grand Authority’ of the King” ARTICLE II competencies and succession of the Crown of Urguan 5: The authority to unilaterally pardon any person convicted or sentenced by the Courts. “My my, that is a doozy that one, isn’t it? Yes, that is correct, the king has the power to overturn a court ruling on his own. Makes you wonder why he would even have a court when he can just keep at it until he has an outcome he likes. Convicted and have to pay a 500 mina fine to the kingdom? No big deal pal, cut a deal with the Grand King of course! 400 mina right to his PERSONAL pocket, and your off the hook! No criminal record, and your saving 100 mina. A steal of a deal there.” “I can hear it now ‘But your wrong, Dizzy, you’ve gone stark! The Thanes council is made to avoid that from happening!’ Ah but of course, how foolish of me. Of course they will prevent anything like that from happening.” “For a day” “Observe once more friends” ARTICLE II competencies and succession of the Crown of Urguan Final note: THESE AUTHORITIES, in order to ensure an opportunity for the Clan Council to prevent their usage, shall when exercised not enter into official enforcement until after a period not less than one stone day from their proclamation. ARTICLE III Competencies and composition of the Clan Council Second section of their powers: FURTHERMORE, the Clan Council is vested with the following auhtorities to be utilized with a ⅘ majority for the good of the dwarven people: 2: The authority to prevent the use of any of the royal authorities as enumerated in Article II in the intervening period of one stone day between their proclamation and actual enforcement. “Don’t you see now? It says it clearly, the thanes have but only an OPPORTUNITY, to stop the King. But a small glimmer, the briefest of windows, left open to breath the fresh air… only to be slammed shut by the harsh reality of things. And to need 4/5th's vote for that? My word! Some thanes may even be gone for longer then a stone day. What happens if the king wishes to order the pardon of the one who murdered your family because of a bribe, and the thanes are away in combat against some great menace? Or perhaps they have fallen ill, and were unable to present themselves at all!” “And how do we know our Grand King will not continue to live up to his clan name!? Great was his Ire as he struck down not only a dwarf, but one of his own clansmen. And we are to sit idle and accept these sugar coated words and release him of guilt? Any other to commit this crime and they would have been exiled. Even now he proposes changes to his articles to draw attention from his heinous deeds. “I could go on for a long time outlining the tyranny in these pages, but I will not. Instead I implore you not as citizens of Urguan, but as free dwarves… look, learn, and listen. Do not follow blindly the shepherd who leads you as his sheep. Do not blindly follow the one who promises only good, for there is no such thing. Make your own decisions, see the world for what it truly is.” “And know, Midgor Ireheart, that I cannot accept these terms so readily. For those who bathe in the blood and fear of others, cannot come off clean so easily”
  7. All through the Grand Kingdom of Urguan posters are spread. The letters are fine, those bearing the style of a craftsman. Ornate, but simplistic at the same time. Should anyone care to read them, they would read as such And on this day, in the vast stone halls of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, we have witnessed an act of Khorvad. A such brutal and terrible act, committed by one who should be looked upon as a role model and a leader. The Grand King himself. In a time of conflict and strife, so great was his wrath he committed the ultimate sin. Kinslaying. Lo' did the crimson blood of our High Prophet stream across the stone floors before the kings feet. The scene was all to clear... blood dripping from his axe, the so called "Grand King" withdrew to his throne to rise above those who he sought to hold in an iron fist. And what was this all for? The bloodshed? The death? The Murder? A but it is simple.... for questioning the authority of this High and mighty monarch. During an event of such great importance the High Prophet Lori Ireheart spoke out against Midgor, stating his rights as a clan father, but more so, as a dwarf. What was his response? What was the answer to the rights of a dwarf? Cold Steel I implore you all, look at the actions of the King, see his injustices. You may look no further then our very own articals, drafted at the will of a one Midgor Ireheart. Let me even give you an excerpt from the code of laws. Section VII 4: Lese Majeste 4.1. Lese majeste is the crime of disrespect of or insufficient reverence for the Grand King of Urguan, including assaults of the personage or character of the Grand King. 4.2. Lese majeste is a first-degree crime. Do you know what is punishable if in the First Degree? Let me show you once more! Section III regarding degrees of criminality and their maximum and minimum punishments 5. Atrocities, or First Degree crimes. 5.1. The minimum period of imprisonment for an atrocity is seven stone days. 5.2. The maximum period of imprisonment for an atrocity is two stone weeks. 5.3. The minimum fine for an atrocity is two thousand minas, or an amount of material wealth judged as equal by public proclamation of the Grand King. 5.4 The maximum fine for an atrocity is fifty thousand minas, or an amount of material wealth judged as equal by public proclamation of the Grand King. Do you see now? He has even implaced a law that allows him to punish you with a MINIMUM of a fine of TWO THOUSAND minas for what? For not holding him in sufficient reverence.. Oh, and at worst? No need to worry fair citizens, it may just end in your exile or execution or something. No big deal right? No, of course it is. A King should serve the Kingdom, not the otherway around. I have yet to see this from the illustrious Midgor Ireheart. All I see is a Kinslayer, and a Tyrant.
  8. Dizzy shrugs "If keeping tu sacred arts safe frum t'ose w'o dunnae deserve et an removin Midgor from tu room fer t'reatenin tu Golem w'en ah didnae give 'im tu knowledge just because 'e is king is a croime an "assualt"? T'en aye, ah be a criminal o-t'a first degree."
  9. Dizzy Irongrinder climbs to center stage, standing tall he moves towards Fili stopping but a foot or so away from the proud dwarf. He gives a slight nod to him before turning to the crowd “And now we see people take their stand. And now we see the honor and courage break through from is shackled prison. And now we see what it is to be a true dwarf.” He turns towards Fili, placing a hand on the dwarfs shoulder he continues to speak “Now is a time in which the people have taken their stand. No more should dwarves be left unheard, no more should the crys of those of lesser status be ignored. However it takes more than words to lead a people. It takes dwarves with true courage, the ones capable of taking these steps, to lead our nation. Fili has taken one such step.” Dizzy steps back from Fili, facing the crowd once more “I know you all may think of me as someone working with this corruption, I see it in your eyes, I hear it in your speech…. I smell it in the air. Think what you will, I act as I feel I must for our great nation… Words will ring hollow without action. But we have been blessed by such a dwarf as Fili, one who now takes action.” Dizzy sighs slightly, bowing his head slightly. Raising it once more he continues “I implore you all, do not hide in the shadows any longer. Do not spit hate filled words and leave them to fester like an opened wound. This is the peoples government, for the peoples kingdom!” Whispers and talk circulate through the dwarves before Dizzy begins to speak once more “If you have issue, take it to the people, take it to the government. Do not sit in taverns and speak it to the bottom of your tankard! Let the voices of every dwarf be heard, strong or weak, big or small.” Drawing and intricately forged weapon from a his back he turns once more to Fili “A weapon, fit for one who leads the way. One who we should give thanks for opening our eyes”

  16. Well one rule clearly states that protected land cannot be taken.... but not what constitutes as protected land (unless I've missed something in my last look through) I would say at least fix that for sure
