  1. “They seem to be in a wee bit of trouble!” Renilde tried on her best Highlander accent.
  2. Renilde wondered if anyone paid Sigrun to say that.
  3. "Father Blackwater, I know now that I can rely on you to guide me through trying times with a level head, as I am certain you will continue to lend me your ear throughout our tenures serving the Petra. Would you please take on the humble honor of overhauling the clergy in the commonwealth to prosperity, by the grace of GOD? I wish nothing more than to right these wrongs."
  4. “Nice.” Renilde enjoys a hot bath to wash off the blood of the pretenders.
  5. "Wooooah..." Afore her blazing hearth, Renilde fanned herself with the latest denouncement, shaking her head. "Sheeeesh!"
  6. "What? I might be unfaithful to that fat lub, only after he neglected his wife's needs for the entirety of our marriage, but I am the rightful owner of my father's commonwealth, plain and simple." Renilde flipped her hair, laughing all the while she crumpled the missive up.

A flag used during the English civil war : r/vexillology

i dont care about the current war but i thought this historical banner used during the first english civil war was appropriate

  8. "Another missive crafted by the toxic waste this man has fed my poor, impressionable children... The sad cuckold can only muster the support of kids and washed-up has-beens... Quite the shame, indeed, indeed." Renilde took up the practice of burning her letters, this being one of many she'd received in her days of reclusiveness.
  9. “A shame to see one fall so far.” Renilde sighed, putting away the memoir she didn't care to read of another Pretender-Petran.
  10. The true sovereign of the Petra, anointed in the eyes of GOD, releases a passionate battle cry afore her men and women, hoisting her sword high in the air.
  11. “Father Blackwater, whenever you are ready, I am prepared for your investigation.” Renilde said at the side of her Rizzlord.
  12. “I didn’t know batting my eyes was such a sin.”
  13. What does 'random Haense people' entail? This conflict involves their military as a whole. The players who were with us when combat was shut off for investigation should be allowed to each partake.
  14. Renilde quickly pens a letter upon hearing the news of her ailing friend, writing of a time and place to see her, when she feels up to it.
  15. Additionally, these are screenshots of Eddy and Jay OOCly urging me to go to Haense to set up a meeting with Gus, to get me out of the city. This began early 1/26/2023. Lastly, Eddywilson /evicted my door perms to a room which was private and I owned the locks to, so that he could have this private meeting with Subprofits and Jay. There was no eviction notice on the door, and I tried to get into the room in RP, to which he lied to me about when I asked him why he'd done that without telling me.
  16. This mentality is really indicative of what spawned this RP to begin with. He's trying to coerce me into making an OOC apology to him (over RP) and give him PRO. Again, it's not reflective of the RP that's existing on the ground. Why should this even be an OOC issue like that? Why is an apology on my end, along with handing my nation over, needed? Logically, this RP should be voided because information was obtained via a glitch, which the staff member knows that they should not have used, and then INTENTIONALLY went back to go and get the jeopardized items. Everything I've done has been solely through roleplay and legitimate interactions, while this entire conflict sparked over information that was never legitimately obtained in the first place. At the bare minimum, if fighting is to transpire regardless of the cheating that unfolded here (no pun intended; I mean with the misuse of perms and the lockpicking), then we should receive the rally we had today at the minimum. We sallied out of Haense in order to put down this failed coup attempt and this can be corroborated by many witnesses of the consort (EddyWilson2's) behavior and alerting us to the danger, and culminating afterwards in the raid to push out the insurgents.
  17. It is with a heavy conscience that I must announce the dismissal of the Archduke-consort of the Commonwealth of the Petra. The reasoning behind this decision is due to a multitude of injustices: I) The Archduke has sought to overreach his station beyond his permitted privileges, as agreed to within our instrument of marriage. -The Archduke has incited hostile relations against fellow Canonist Princes in an attempt to fulfill his warlike ambitions. -The Archduke has attempted to overrule the Archduchess in the selection of the members of her government, at times even in violation of the Constitution and the ideals outlined by Paul-Salvian. -Most recently, the Archduke has attempted to usurp the Archduchess’ authority within Petra itself, erecting palisades around Valfleur and sequestering himself within the halls of the Archduchess’s keep. II) The Archduke has sought to oppose the Holy Canonist Church and the will of His Holiness the High Pontiff by asserting a desire for unfathomable privileges in the hopes of usurping the supremacy in faith justly held by the Canonist Church. III) Despite his zeal to exercise duties outside his lawful station and undermine the Archduchess, the Archduke has neglected his responsibilities to the people and the Commonwealth of Petra, namely through eroding its knightly institutions in favor of a more bureaucratic, authoritarian model that violates the Constitution and ideals outlined by the first Archduke Paul I. IV) In his attempt to usurp the Archduchess on baseless accusations, the Archduke has committed treason against the lawful sovereign of Petra, as recognized and anointed by His Holiness the High Pontiff. Not only has he forsaken the rights of government bestowed upon him by his good and gracious ladywife, but also the sacred rites of marriage he so faithlessly swore those years ago. This government has reason to believe that, on his five year pilgrimage to parts unknown, the Lord Constanz has fallen into temptation and broken his sacred marriage oath, possibly even fathering illegitimate issue by one or more women of this foreign land. Constanz of Balian is nothing more than a would-be invader, having aimed to supplant the honored and beloved traditions of the Knightly Republic during his time as Archduke-consort. This final act, the failed, yet attempted, overthrowing of the Archduchess is the final straw. His fabricated allegations of infidelity are the last gasps of air of his dying cause: to erode the republican traditions of Petra and ensure that he can cement his sole-rule over the lands of Paul-Salvian. As the latter’s daughter and rightful heir, I cannot sit idly by and allow his dream to be tainted by a foreigner who cares not for the Petran people, but for the gain and station he aspires to clasp around his hands. As the Archduchess of Petra, I shall hereby act upon the rights afforded to me by our esteemed Constitution and dismiss the Archduke from my court and exile him from the lands of Petra. I shall undertake my duty to defend the Knightly Republic and the people of the Commonwealth and see that this foreign scourge is driven from our lands. I act now in the favor of God, and of the will of the law and people of Petra. God Save the Commonwealth. HER GRACE, Renilde I, By the Grace of GOD, Archduchess of the Petra, Countess of Temesch and Moere
  18. "This isn't even your handwriting, Albert... Your father must have forged this idiocy."
  19. "Well, sure. I would not obstruct this." Renilde murmured, scribbling a formal response to Father Blackwater hastily.
  20. "Huh, who is this again?" Renilde remarked from within the safety of her panic room, having predicted this heinous ordeal long before it'd occurred. "Quite strange for myself to be false if I am the rightfully anointed in the eyes of GOD..."
  21. "This is all we want," the archduchess claimed before her council after scanning the missive. "We do not wish to throw stones at the church, good people; we wish for our homeland to be accepted and no longer ignored by GOD's disciples. Why must we venture to Aaun or Haense in search of a man of the cloth for a simple wedding, only for that man to be late and deep in his cups? We've been made a mockery of here, and it is constantly played off as us 'pushing the church away', and straying from GOD." Renilde sent down her fist 'pon the table, causing the glassware to shudder. Eyeing each one of her councilors with a fierce glare, she continued in an even tempered voice. "I'm afraid, however, that it is the other way around. We've been first ignored by GOD's alleged loyal servants, made a mockery of, and then targeted by this inquisition of theirs, each victim they traumatize being close to the heart of Petra. At what point will it all stop? At what point will they allow us to worship Canon just as we've been asking to for the better part of the decade? All we want is to host mass for our people and to have a reliable, Petran cardinal to confide in. We must press on, for our ultimatum is not out of the question." That steely gaze met each Round Table Councilors' individually, and deliberately, before she demanded of her assembly as a whole, "Are you with me?"

  23. "The Dwed have always been a good friend to us," Renilde remarked to her husband and chancellor as they returned with the news of another full alliance. "Good work, gentlemen." @Eddywilson2 @Da_Emperors
  24. At a meeting much later in the saint's week, the Archduchess found herself sitting across the table from her beloved nephew, Frederick II of Sedan, and her very own sister, Charlotte Roberta. The two had declared their intent to marry, which brought Renilde a great joy to see the happiness Charlotte had displayed, despite the humiliation she'd gone through prior at the hands of the church and the emotional strife it'd brought Renilde's beloved little sister. "First, we marry the two of you off before the dragon gets here, so we all go to battle merry and satisfied by the celebrations to follow. You will make a big fuss of this! Send the invitations out now!" @Cepheid @outcook
  25. "It had to be done," Renilde murmured in disdain at the end of the long meeting, happy to attend a lighthearted picnic following the tense get-together.
