  1. A wandering Elf, clad in copious green, smiles fondly upon reading the historical events of the Great Atlas Pumpkin Raid.
  2. Esther is a taller, slimmer Human female with straw-berry blonde hair, copper red eyes, and very pale and flushed skin. She's always smiling, and has a pet goat, too! She likes wearing fancy dresses, mainly with hues of red, gold, pink, and white. Her hair is flowy and pinned up into a shorter look most often.
  3. I'm fine with you using any art you draw of Esther for anything school related!
  4. "Oh, oh!" A honey seller chimes. "I used to do this job, it paid well, and it was quite fun!" Esther Lester wears a cheery grin, and goes about her day. "I hope they hire hard-working staff."

  6. I'd like a dress! The shading style of the first one (with the more muted tones) would look really nice. If you could throw something together similar to the art below. Do it in your own style, though, cause I really like it! I can pay you whenever, just PM me in game or on Discord at DiscoLiquid#9251.
  7. Esther Lester holds the paper in hands, and decides to go seek out this Frederick Balen. She, before and after all, was a merchant, and sought to have a lovely cup of tea with the man.
  8. Esther Lester gulps, and attaches her climbing gear to her waist. Triple checking her belt and harness, the brave woman (who most never left a notice on a public board unread) began to climb. Hands nervously grasping at the verifiable mountain of shredded paper and pamphlets, she tried her most to ascend to the peak of the pile of paper, the summit of notices. For three days and three nights, the woman climbed, before the dawn-break of the fourth day crested over the absolute point. Far below, she saw random men and women tearing and posting their own notices, but ignored their fruitless contributions to Mt. Flier. Setting her eager hands at the final notice she could find currently pinned, Esther reads... "Oh! That seems wholesome!"
  9. An amused honey seller raises two pointer fingers and waggles them, surely a most thorough display of joy. "Haense for life!"
  10. The Bard of Petals inquires for job prospects in the kingdom's tavern! "Care you for flutist, tale-teller, or fool today? I'm a bard for hire, and I'll work for fair pay! I can sing, dance, entertain any crowd! Of my jestering skills, I'm duly quite proud! Simply send me a letter, by courier or bird. I'll come as I can, once your message is heard!"
  11. I'd like to address the idea that villainy RP needs "motivation". I think this mindset comes from the days of the VAT, where we demanded an explanation for why you wanted to be a villain. We all construct false motivation for our characters whenever we make them, that's why characters want to be Druids, or Clerics, or Merchants. We pick the RP we have the most fun playing, and then we make our characters to fill that role. The reason you don't see any 'good' villains is not because of a lack of motivation, but because trying to RP a well-motivated villain on LotC is the most exhausting, useless waste of time the server offers. You'll be banished from most nations in the span of a week or two, meta-gamed into the dirt, and PvP'd on sight by the people are the most vocal about PvP Goon Bandits. A villain can really only take a loss in RP about 3 or 4 times before their name is given to everyone, their face is on a board, and they're actively rallied against no matter what they do. In addition, if you're NOT a 'good' villain, you have to deal with constant accusations of failing to provide fun to everyone, even though you're not an ET, and I doubt any villains have much fun getting kicked bloody either. Everyone wants to kill the bad guy.
  12. Welcome to Lord of the Craft! We're the cream of the crop. You can cast magic, farm, build, craft, and kill mobs. We've got house RP, war RP, market RP. Elf-side, Orc-side, Dwarf-side, too. There's academy RP, cooking RP, alchemy RP, blacksmithing RP, mining RP, cathartic RP, humorous RP, PvP-RP, gardening RP, carnival RP... That's uh, that's about it.
  13. Just a reminder that LotC has NEVER had a rule that says you need 3 emotes to fire a bow, or 3 emotes to send a bird, or 2 emotes to draw and swing a sword.

  14. Hey, DragonsRoost, I saw you were new on the server, and I'd just like to say that I really appreciate new players going out to write lore. All that said, you may want until you have a little more experience with the server and its out of character and in character culture before you write lore. It seems like you want to write lore that gives mages an ability to control the world around them, and impact the magic of other mages. I'd like to recommend you search for a teacher in Transfiguration, a powerful magic that is close to science in Lord of the Craft. You'd be able to ward off the magics of other mages, store mana to keep up permanent spells, and use the void to change your surroundings in accordance with your knowledge of the laws of the world! You'd be a lot like Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. PM me if you need any help, yeah? Good luck!
  15. hey can i borrow some floss?

  16. I love this lore, and if you deny it, you hate fun.
  17. I've used mental magic for some of the most entertaining role-play on the server. If anyone is using it as a meta-gaming tool, they're a ****. I would be upset to see it shelved, because I still use it regularly in my role-play as fairly as I can, and I've never used it in combat. Out of curiosity, what do you think needs to be smoothed out? Grim, what do you.. like? Like, is there anything on the server you actually enjoy?
  18. Holy ****, this is actually my favorite piece of lore I've ever seen on the server.
  19. "Hearth and home, O', watch me roam. Bloom and blossom, sky and loam; The stars, and seas, and in-between, I pass it all, this wayward dream." Music. By some odd luck, you may come across a book detailing the travels of Ruu'Yar, and her horizon walk. It is written in prose, and explains her journey. "I am Ruu, and you are you. And maybe you're a wanderer, too. During day and night, you'd feel just right, With dreams of travel or eternal flight. This is my gift, this book, my tome; The story writ as I left all home, and set out to fulfill my quest, to wander further than all the rest. Born under Ghorza, Agongraz, The rising sun beyond my grasp, I seek out that rising lion, I march to catch the flame horizon. I carry little on this path, Naught but book, and a lonely staff. By hand I will gather both rock and wood, accepting fortune, both bad and good. My bag is empty of all coinage, I've have another test on this voyage. Ask for a mina of a hundred and one, and listen to their story until they are done. On my path back, with coins so bright, One by one I will make my bag light, and tell one hundred stories while I returned and my walk will be adjourned." OOC -
  20. You say they can only learn druidism, and then say they can't learn voidal magic. I'm confused, can a Satyr learn blood magic? What about shamanism? These magics require greater souls, and apparently Satyr's have them. I'm a lil' lost.

  22. Midnight blue and decorated with highly magical looking stars, a beautifamous scroll arrives to the Mage's Guild. It is written in a highly bombastic, and well-educated manner.
