Ember Collection Penned by Lady Elia Eryka Colborn-Stafyr 6th of Julia ag Piov 491 Introduction As I aged within my younger years, I grew alongside my multitude of cousins and siblings. One of whom was Ada Colborn, a cousin of mine who was moreso like a sister. Little did we both know, her daughter- our daughter, would blossom into a young Lady of unfathomable perseverance and notability. When her mother of blood had passed, I saw her spirit taint itself with hatred for life, much like Ada when our beloved Godric had passed. However, with the might of her family and Patron Ancestors she had turned that venomous feeling of loathing into fierce passion and ambition. It is with that change of character, and growth, I devote this collection to Amaya of Venzia and her Ember Courts. I love you, my daughter. _____________________________________________________ Tiara of Venzia: This marvelous tiara was a custom piece made by Lady Elia Eryka Colborn-Stafyr, Baroness of Thurant and Curator of Crown Jewels. Historically known for its mixture of scyfling and raevir influence, the headpiece is said to bring luck to its wearer. The regalia itself was made solely for the creators adoptive daughter; Amaya of Venzia. A carved band of pure gold ran along the bottom of the base itself, fifty miniscule pearls bordered the surface, with a fashioned brace of braided gold bordering the ivory spheres. Atop that gemstones of varying cuts lined the tiara in 1 carat cuts, making up a multitude of different faux-roses. The primary crystals used were that of rubies, fire opal, and red diamonds. Nearer the center of the circlet amber, peach moonstone, and garnet made up intricate designs that led to a singular larger rose of 3 carat Aeldinic rubies. What made for an even devastating alluring flair was the many creamy white albino-raven feathers of shorter length that lined the backside of the tiara, allowing them to poke upwards sporadically in a dashing display. The Amayan Bridal Crown: This crown was inspired by the traditional scyfling bridal crown donned by young women on their days of matrimony. High peaks of golden spirals were bound by more intricate design around the whole rotation of the regalia, symbolizing the beginning of new life and family under the beautiful union of wedlock. No gemstones were pivoted in the upper-parts of the regalia but rather the band which rested against the scalp itself; a variant of rubies, garnet, crimson spinel, and scarlet topaz lined the border; all in various cuts and sizes ranging from 1-carat to 6-carat, allowing for an onslaught of red to embrace the romantic piece. Typically, to further address the cultural importance of this crown, it is accompanied with an authentic and real flower crown to compliment the historical roots of its relevance. This one was specifically created for Amaya of Venzia, as she donned it paired with a flower crown made up of a multitude of roses from her familial gardens. Ve Ruby Droplets: Brought immediately to the attention of the wearer for this marvelous regalia was a disgusting glimpse of a stark scarlet hue. These earrings were made up of two simple gemstones; a ruby and a citrine. Made as posts, the earrings of pure gold held a small princess-styled cut citrine of a honey-colored tint against the earlobe, surrounded by a thin border of aureate material meanwhile strung from it in a dangle was a marvelous 5 carat ruby, it carved and polish in a teardrop contour. In the glare of light, the differing hues of red were evident, leaving for a beautiful sheen and alluring mystique in the admiration of the uncannily ethereal gemstone. Ve Elia Carnelian: These simple earrings were crafted from delicate ferrum wire, fastened to one's earlobe via sturdy metallic prong faceted by a small reddish-copper carnelian gemstone in a princess-style cut. Strung lowly from the crimson-tinted crystal was a thin chain of the same metallic nature to that of the wiring, connecting a larger carnelian polished to a vibrant shine which was meticulously carved in a pear or teardrop contour. This special set of earrings belonged to the Curator of Crown Jewels, Lady Elia Eryka - specifically being passed down to Amaya of Venzia with instructions for her firstborn daughter, the Curator’s adoptive granddaughter, to don for her coming of age ceremony. Nape of Embers: Made from specifically twenty circulate plates of white gold, two different crystals made up the jewelry, interchanging throughout the alluring piece. The two gemstones were both of great rarity within the Haense Crown Jewels, only being introduced under Amaya of Venzia’s reign; bumblebee jasper and the Koenas’ personal favorite, fire opal. The crystals were all carved to be cushion-cuts, hugged by flowering motifs to allow all the splendor to be focused onto the gemstones themselves, allowing them to easily become the centerpiece of any attire of the evening. Le Collier Rose: This given piece was acknowledged for its stunning beauty, consisting of a variety of five-petaled moonstone flowers set by black titanium prongs, the center of each contoured flowers being a delicate white pearl from the lake Voron found between the households Colborn and Baruch upon the late lands of Arcas. Fully binding the necklace itself was a trio of densely woven twine coated in thick wax harvested from Balianite bees. Hiding the twine from sight however with a variety of rare pink pearls chiseled through, allowing them to be strung into three alluring rows, emphasizing both the luxury and expense of this charming regalia. Faces of Colborn: Typically worn during more grandeur events, this specific regalia was made with Amaya of Venzia in mind, forged to reflect her historical roots with a more direct approach. Made up of five different pendants, the bracelet held onto the ivory facades of Colborn’s personal to the heart of the intended wearer. On the leftmost side two figures were seen carved boldly into the chalky material; Jesper Colborn the Patron Ancestor and Katherine Vanir-Colborn the Patron Ancestor. On the rightmost side was; Isabel Barbanov-Colborn the Patron Ancestor and Saint Carr of Carenthall. However the center pendant was of the most relevance, being Dame Ada Colborn, the first Dame of the Colborn family and mother of Amaya. Bordering each pendant was silver, twenty snakeskin agate in zicron-cuts, set neatly in place. However, the center facade of Dame Ada was specifically bordered by thirty smaller zircon-cut fire opals. The five primary components made up the entire rotation of the wrist, bound by simple silver chainlets. The Honey Embrace: A unique choker meant to suit attires for more casual evenings, primarily made up of thick hide found from Aeldinic goats, used for its softer texture and least injury against the skin - as it was meant to be donned tautly at the nape. The leather itself was of a muddy-copper coloring, suiting the crystal it was accompanied with beautifully. Found in the center of the choker was a brooch-like pendant carefully sewn to the tanned hide, embracing a piece of carved and polished honey calcite with aurum leaf-motifs acting as the border. This jewelry piece is often regarded for its ability to add flair while composing an air of simplicity. The Resting Raven: This hairpiece was a base of titanium and shaped as a simple comb, the spine itself making up the primary focus of the regalia. A detailed raven with black enamel fluttered its wings skyward, each deep line in the shaping of the avian made to illustrate its beauty. The eye of the raven - as the face was a side view - was a deep and stunning red ruby, taken directly from the vault of the Household Colborn. It is rumored the gemstone originated from Loviska Colborn, and the jewelry piece itself is homage to the roots of Queen Amaya. The Wulfenite Brooch: A polished brooch forged from a slate of carved marble, consisting of primarily dark hues to contrast against the aureate wiring and molded gold. The metallic detailings are intricate and elaborate, embracing the oval shape of the sturdy base. Fixated in the center of the brooch was a rectangular-cut piece of Wulfenite, its intensely colored amber hue beautifully complimented the darker pigmentation of the marble. This regalia was specifically created for Amaya of Venzia as to compliment her plethora of stashes donned during her reign, suiting the starkness of her Ember Courts. The Exchange of Loyalty 6th of Gronna Ag Droba, 482 ______________________________________________________________ During the final months of our beloved monarchs, Karl III and Amadea of Susa, we had sat down to discuss how to reward a few of the most impactful subjects of their reign. And, as a result, we came up with a tradition we had hoped to continue through the years following the rule of Georg I, as well as his son and so forth-on. And it is now that our beloved monarchs have ended their tenure as our beloved Koeng and Koenas, that we continue a tradition of loyal exchange, offering a small regalia of thanks to those who stood out in their loyalty and merit. This pendant holds onto a center pearl cradling a cluster of five pearls surrounding it, stretched outwards into delicate aureate prongs with the same ivory spheres in their grasp. To the flank of each stretched out six pointed tips each having four pearls on their facade, ranging in size the narrower it went. Granted to only the most prestigious subjects who served their monarchs loyally in their tenure. Ve Szlar Kareunar: A disc-shaped brooch forged from ferrum-alloy that was no bigger than 2-inches in its circumference. The facade found itself displaying that mighty insignia of House Barbanov with the side views of Georg I and Sofia of Hyspia facing it. Additionally, dangling from the piece was a smaller disc bound by silver chainlets cradling the sigil of the destined noble house it was bestowed unto. A piece to represent the loyalty during the royal tenure. Ve Karosir Edlervik: A simple band of silver sized accordingly for its specific owner, wrought into a sheer surface with slight divots in the contour of the Kingdom of Haense insignia. Your work, your presence, you're everything that you have shown has allowed me to achieve the vision I had for my courts upon my ascension to Queen. Lady Josefina Barclay: Your quick and efficient work, even at the most inopportune and sudden times has been seen and respected highly by me and I'm sure many others. I'd seen it before my ascension to Queen, and much the same afterwards. You have become an example to strive to be. Princess Veronica Weiss: You may be my sister, but you have been my most loyal and stout person in all of this. Without your shoulder to lean on, it is difficult to see where I would be today. The work you've put in, as my advisor, within the courts, and even dropping absolutely everything to speak to me and advice on a moment's notice is worth more than even the world. An unlikely friendship that began with the exchanging of advice, that has led to seeing each other's families grow in time. Mori Collection Penned by Baroness Elia Eryka Colborn-Stafyr 7th of Gronna Ag Droba 482 Introduction Within the gruesome destruction of our homeland within Almaris, we were forced to flee at the hand of the Mori into their abandoned fortresses and caverns heeded as; The Underdark. But within the mazes of stone and obsidian, morbid beauty was discovered in the abnormal gemstones left behind to be harvested. By order of the Koenas Sofia of Hyspian, an expedition was held as a small party consisting of; Duke Manfred Barclay, Ser Sterling Amador, and the Koenas herself - ventured deep into the unknown, returning to a gemstones galore that were instructed to be forged into beautiful regalia for House Barbanov. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Sofian Earrings: A set of golden earrings were forged by the finest of Haeseni gold, discovered in the Treasury originating from the old mines of Markev. With twisting details, the rectangular base supported a cut and polished amethyst with abnormalities not found from that of the typical nature of said gemstone. With varying violet hues, the amethyst was strangely marbled and colored, streaked with differing purples in an alluring array. It was of unspoken beauty, smaller cuts of the same ore found on either flank in a circular-round cut. Dangling from the bottom of the rectangular - as it stood vertically - was a teardrop amethyst with those marbled colors of purple. What was special about this specific piece was the fact that the foreign gemstone was harvested within Underdark, discovered by Sofia of Hyspia and her search party. The Johannian Necklace: The majority of this necklace was manifested from strung pearls from the surrounding waters of Valdev within Aevos, fixed to settle nicely around one's collarbone for decorative flair. Around over fifty pearls made up the regalia, with the centerpiece being a simple carved steel base that supported a rather large oval opal within its embrace. This raven-colored gemstone strangely appeared to contain some sort of ‘smog’ within it, when hit by direct sunlight. The glimmering murk effect seemingly shifts nonstop when confronted with rays of light, albeit completely dark and dull when within corridors or in the shadows. Different colors shone through the smog, being vaguely noticed unless acknowledged by a keen eye, resulting in the piece being encouragingly donned only during events of slim to little space in between the wearer and others. During a search party led by Sofia of Hyspia in Underdark, this odd opal was discovered by Duke Manfred Johann Barclay. Choker of Thurant: An elegant strand of oval-cut rubies with elaborate garnet pieces of drastically smaller sizes bordering each one. The length of the gemstones make up an alluring choker which is meant to be paired with a higher neckline to emphasize one's neck while also not distracting from the collar as well. Strung in between each oval and their garnet motif was a polished pearl harvested from the ocean waters of Failor, fastened together to provide a pop from the intense usage of red in the choker. Strangely enough, unlike the other pieces of this collection - the gemstones in this choker seemed rather mundane. However, upon comparing it to any other ruby within the Royal Collection of Haense, the ruby itself was a deep vibrant red hue with an immense shine, being the reddest of reds. The simplicity of this abnormality was appreciated and taken into consideration when discovered in Underdark by Lady Elia Eryka, Baroness of Thurant. Thus, this token piece is mostly encouraged to be accommodated with already intensely colored clothing to keep up with the starkness of the attire while also not taking away from it, for more dully-saturated clothing might suck up too much of the attention. The Georgian Hairpiece: An alluring aureate hairpiece contoured to be a comb, set with twelve cushion-cut emeralds of the same size, framed by floral-shaped motifs, with circular emeralds in between each as accents. On the facade of the comb was the visibly bold etching of the saying; “Krusae zwy Kongzem”, drawn out in neat cursive to be seen rather than tucked away like most jewelry would with carved sayings. The abnormalities of the emeralds were evident, as odd specks of golden hue streaked within those gemstones, with strange foreign beauty. Harvested deep from the Underdark nearer the strange foreign library, where Georg I spent most of his time during the break to the newfound continent of Aevos. The beauty of this piece is greatly appreciated, fitting with any colored tresses thanks to its vibrant coloring and aureate compliments. The Sterling Earrings: This simple earring set holds onto a polished diamond of yellow hue, chiseled into a square-cut as it was strung from a simple 0.5 carat white diamond in the princess-styled cut. A chainlet of gold-alloy bound the two gemstones together as the basic jewelry could compliment any attire in its pairing without distracting from it, even clothing with violet hue in its stark contrast. The white diamond was fastened to the same material as the chainlet in the form of a stud, allowing for the gemstone to be centered perfectly on one's ear. The abnormality discovered in this regalia was from that of the yellow diamond, as it was oddly a bold and vibrant yellow coloring, with differing hues of the color that shone brightly in direct sunlight. The gemstone itself was discovered by that of Ser Sterling Amador during the expedition led by Koenas Sofia of Hyspia, having been the last ore harvested in their adventures. The Camilan Bracelet: A variety of plated discs forged from black titanium were bound by small chainlets, connecting one another tautly as a mere clip fastened the bracelet together. These surfaces each housed a delicate blue gemstone abnormally dark and intense in its nature. The foreign blue gems were carved into a simple square cut, polished to a shine although it did not gleam in direct sunlight like most ores, but rather seemingly reacted negatively with no impact against any rays of light. This mundane gemstone was discovered by the Koenas Sofia of Hyspia, inside of a strange bright underground hot spring. Originally, the pieces were going to be tossed to save weight for other harvested valuables, until brought outside of their given environment into the darker parts of Underdark. It was then revealed that the strange dark blue gemstones glow vibrantly in the dark, offering an intense and unique addition to any attire it might be used to compliment, since its effect would be sparsely seen unless nighttime. With the first Hyspian Koenas of Haense, the cultural influences became even more evident and cemented into the Royal Courts. Thus, alongside my apprentice, Lord Sergei Kortrevich - I found it fitting to add proper collection to the Crown Jewels for future use and memoir of this important era in our history. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Collar de Isabel A necklace made from a multitude of gold-plate fixtures and pearls, forming a bold and dramatic piece to compliment one's neck when purposefully trying to flex off one's wealth. The piece is fastened with square plates of gold-alloy, offering a nice platform to embrace the four teardrop shaped amethysts, which create a point to cradle a singular pearl. There are twenty of these in total which span across wire thread of laced pearls and princess-cut amethysts which flank each square plate, reaching to a centerpiece with hung down in a singular pendant being that of the Barbanov-Bihar crest, entirely forged from encrusted gemstones. Rostro de Gloria As an ode to both religion and history, this flamboyant piece houses a rather large oval frame with camel-shaped motifs that border a detailed portrait of the Exalted Sigismund in all his god-like glory. Individual sapphires and rubies interchange between one another as they rest closer inward against the painting, just below the camel carved contouring. The painting itself is of muted coloring from age as it was discovered deep within the Treasury in a lone wooden box alongside a vial of holy water, renewed into its new purpose. On either flank of the center portrait-pendant were the side complexions of two given individuals; Koeng Karl III and Viceroy Cesar I, forged from ivory as both faced the pendant in symbolism of union which would soon lead to a long and powerful alliance. Pearls from the harbors of Karosgrad remained strung on five different wires which made up the entirety of the regalia, offering a delicious accessory to any attire and an even more grand nod to history. Hyspian Ring Set This given set of signets consist of five varying rings, each forged with a band of pure gold taken from the dwarven mines within Aevos, with a polished sheen look. Additionally, the sapphires themselves were harvested from the Hyspia mines back within Almaris. Although separate, these rings are not meant to be worn apart at different times, but rather at once, paired with other bands to provide for a consistent look to a hand full with a multitude of regaliga to flex one's wealth. These types of ring sets are most commonly found in a Hyspian Ladies jewelry box, as the culture is known for dressing themselves with plenty of jewelry for any affair. The rings themselves are of different styles, but all containing the same materials as mentioned above; a slim band with a princess-cut sapphire in its center; a thick band with varying small sapphires surrounding its entirety; a band with three sapphires upon its face with the center one slightly larger than the two flanking it; a band with a sapphire carved into the contour of a Hussaryian Cross in its middle; a ring with a border of miniscule sapphires running across the entire band. Canto del Pájaro The inspiration of this piece comes directly from the sands of Hyspia and their peerage, with women typically decorating themselves within elaborate regalia and luxuries that even few lower Haeseni gentry are unable to afford. With a golden base contoured into that of a peacock, this hairpiece is a flexible accessory that any woman would be happy to don, some men even capable of donning it upon their turbans or hats. A multitude of miniscule diamonds in the rose-cut style line the splayed golden feathers in their curvature with an incredible count of at least one thousand, providing an intense glimmer to the regalia’s surface. Painted enamel of green and blue hues make up the actual body and head of the peacock, few sapphires and emeralds lining the shape for rougher texturing, and two onyx gemstones acting as the eyes. With unspoken beauty, this piece is truly one to admire within all its splendor. Brooch Of The Peafowl One beautifully crafted brooch of Hyspian influence; Gold trimmings lacing its oval edge, amber in hue, and adorning green and blue garnet crystallites. Its pattern, though left somewhat abstract in the ‘stained-glass’ makeup, depicts that of a displaying male peafowl looking off to one side, full in color and presenting the jewelries centerpiece, an eye of perfect cut maroon garnet that draws the view of its observers with enchanting intrigue. Beyond it, a scene of vast plains and blueish sky that shifts lilac toward its extremities is set, inspired greatly by the beautiful sceneries claimed by Hyspian ancestry - a colorful piece indeed, though all complementary to the gem placement and their vibrant off-hues, given each component of the brooch is seldom not reflective. A simple pin and clip make up its backing, perfect for simplistic transfer on and off clothing, even so it is visibly fragile due to the materials used in its making so one must take great care in handling such a gem. [Lord Sergei Kortrevich] Hyspian Cross A cross made of Alamaris’ finest Hyspian silver, with delicate floral patterns making up 2 ⁄ 3s of its base. Upon the front, two gems have been cut, and serve as compliments to the surrounding detail; One Sapphire of blue, and its sister gem a ruby, blood red in color which sits proud at the very center, having been cut into a rounded square. Although small, each crystal is of undeniable prestige and rarity, transparent almost with absolute clarity, and reflective of a rubies royal symbolism, it can be deemed nothing slight of perfection. The sapphire, cut with equal if not more precision, has been laced with a fine chain of gold, which wraps the gem form like a silk scarf, then trailing down to connect the pair accordingly. Sapphires, historical in Heanse culture for its use during spiritual affairs, and of great significance within Hyspian nobility, bring about a great ethereal aura, and its linkage with the Ruby further signifies the idea of forever imbondment shared between Godan and man , within the Church, and Spirit thereof. [Lord Sergei Kortrevich] Cullinan Diamond Pendant Three chains make up this transcendent piece, a lower, upper and mid, each fashioned with a selection of gems varying in both quality and cut. The links of each chain, which have been crafted into alternating circular, square, and oval shaping, bind within them a gem every .5″ an inch, beginning at the neck and gradually forming a gradient in its descent. The base and highest point of the lace starts off somewhat simple in Brown, specifically ombre topaz, then shifting to tannish brown, lighter still, until the gems are entirely colorless. Its finale, a Cullinan Diamond cut in a heart's resemblance, takes center focus, an unmistakable nod to the jewelries dedicant, Her Royal Majesty, Koenas Sofia of Hyspia. With topaz arguably considered a ‘lesser gem’, these which have been selected are of near perfect cut, size and shape, bettering in quality the closer they sit to their diamond centerpiece, and symbolic of a kongzems peoples, of noble blood or otherwise, part in the upholdance of the Hyspo-Ruska reign.
