  1. The Exchange of Loyalty 3rd of JULA AG PIOV 459 Penned by Lady Elia Eryka Colborn-Stafyr ______________________________________________________________ During the final months of our beloved monarchs, Karl III and Amadea of Susa, we had sat down to discuss how to reward a few of the most impactful subjects of their reign. And, as a result, we came up with a tradition we hope to continue through the years following the rule of Georg I, as well as his son and so forth-on. For months we had picked through the perfect use of metals, imagery, and craftsmanship to produce something of worth for these loyal subjects and their servitude. Thus, resulting in regalia of three different classes; Ve Barbanov Estrejna, Ve Szlar Kareunar, and Ve Karosir Edlervik. The first reserved for only the most prestigious five who the monarchs felt stuck with them greatly at some point throughout their reign, the latter for the humble peers who stuck by or rose during their reign, and lastly those who are worth honorable mention for their deeds. May they rest in the seven skies, Krusae zwy Kongzem. ______________________________________________________________ Ve Barbanov Ezstrejna: A regalia of great renown in means both materialism and symbolism, brought to life during the end of Karl III and Amadea of Susa’s reign. This pendant holds onto a center pearl cradling a cluster of five pearls surrounding it, stretched outwards into delicate aureate prongs with the same ivory spheres in their grasp. To the flank of each stretched out six pointed tips each having four pearls on their facade, ranging in size the narrower it went. Granted to only the most prestigious subjects who served their monarchs loyally in their tenure. Ve Szlar Kareunar: A disc-shaped brooch forged from ferrum-alloy that was no bigger than 2-inches in its circumference. The facade found itself displaying that mighty insignia of House Barbanov with the side views of Karl III and Amadea of Susa facing it. Additionally, dangling from the piece was a smaller disc bound by silver chainlets cradling the sigil of the destined noble house it was bestowed unto. A piece to represent the loyalty during the royal tenure. Ve Karosir Edlervik: A simple band of silver sized accordingly for its specific owner, wrought into a sheer surface with slight divots in the contour of the Kingdom of Haense insignia. On the inside face of the ring was the etched name of who it was bestowed upon, while just on the outer-side was the simple phrase, “Krusae zwy Kongzem.” Gifted to those for their loyal service to Karl III and Amadea of Susa. ______________________________________________________________ Ve Barbanov Ezstrejna: Karl III: Ser Conrad: For all your service as my knight paramount. You have trained the order alongside Ser Walton to surpass all that they could ever be. You have protected the honour of this kingdom on countless occasions and paid the price for such. Lady Johanna: You came at a point when I needed you most and were the right fit for me as palatine. Whilst you were only in office for what seemed a short time, we worked well together as a team. Lord Felix Weiss: As these last year's went on, you remained ever by my side and for that I am thankful. You jumped into the Haeseni world and embraced it fully. You show all what a new man of Haense can be. Lord Vanhart: You have helped my son immeasurably during your time as a friend to the Crown, and did also help me significantly with my writings and ideas. You helped me in crafting my own story for the nation, and for that I am thankful. Prince Marius Audemar: My sword in the wars against the Inferi, a governor of Haelun’or and now my palatine in finishing my final task of the city. You and your brothers did immeasurable work during my reign for which I am truly thankful. Amadea of Susa: Lady Georgina Barclay: Although your work did go unseen by the masses for many a year, your service to the crown, and further your service to myself cannot be understated. My introduction to Haeseni society and my undertaking of Emma’s courts would not have been possible without your guidance, and for that I thank you. Wright: Your loyalty to my husband and myself did not go unnoticed through the years. If there was one presence assured to be a constant, it was yours, and for that I thank you. Ser Flemius: As steady as a rock, and yet a friendly face in the masses. Your unwavering loyalty, and ability to appear no later than the moment you were needed at all times was truly God sent, and you I am thankful. Ser Walton: A calming voice in a sea of uncertainty, I am certain that I may state I would not have lived to this age had it not been for your constant vigilance. You have helped us all, time and time again. You were asked to do things that no man should, taking them in stride nonetheless, and for that I both thank and miss you. Princess Analiesa Josefina: My sweet girl. I have come to expect more of you than any mother should of their daughter, but you have not once faltered. Through your many challenges, you have carried the weight of your responsibilities, both those you were born into, and those thrust unexpectedly upon yourself, with pride. Be proud of yourself, be proud of your brothers, and continue to stand as a pillar for your sister. I thank you, my love. Ve Szlar Kareunar: House Barclay, Duchy of Reinmar House Baruch, Duchy of Valwyck House Ruthern, Duchy of Vidaus House von Draco, Margrave of Eichenwalde House Ludovar, County of Otistadt House Kortrevich, County of Jerovitz House Colborn, Viscounty of Venzia House Bishop, Barony of Ostervik House Godunov, Barony of Verskaya House Weiss, Barony of Zvaervauld House Pelear, Viceroy of Hyspia Ve Karosir Edlervik: Lord Dmitry Ruthern Prince Lucien of Savoy Prince Nikolas Leopold Ser Vladimir Ruthern Ser Sebastian Colborn Wolfgang de Vilain Ser Jakob Morovar Dame Tavisha Morovar Dame Giovanna de Leuven Lord Adrian Erik Colborn Ophelie Ashford de Falstaff Lady Isabel Baruch Lord Atilan Bishop Viscountess Ada Colborn March Loran von Draco Signatures, His Royal Majesty KARL III by the Grace of Godan, King of Hanseti and Ruska, Grand Hetman of the Army, Prince of Bihar, Dules, Lahy, Muldav, Solvesborg, Slesvik and Ulgaard, Duke of Carnatia and Vanaheim, Margrave of Korstadt, Rothswald and Vasiland, Count of Alban, Alimar, Baranya, Graiswald, Karikhov, Karovia, Kaunas, Kavat, Kovachgrad, Kvasz, Markev, Nenzing, Torun, and Toruv, Viscount of Varna, Baron of Esenstadt, Kraken’s Watch, Kralta, Krepost, Lorentz, Rytsburg, Thurant and Astfield, Lord of the Westfolk, Protector of the Highlanders, etcetera. 6. A singular night of dread had turned into years of turmoil and survival, filled of fruitless attempts to extricate themselves from the unyielding savagery of Chelka. It had been an afternoon spent hunting, idled further away from the coastlines in survey for deer, and once had had concluded an instant shift to the shores for razor clams. Only when the sun had vanished and moon kissed the sky did she return to the camp, only to pursue her additional duties of cooking dinner for the camp. It was a mundane task that kept her sane, prioritizing her focus on something. She would rather that than dulvage into her own insanity, to swell into the madness of idleness. The evening was strict and haste, eventful only near the end; make clam stew, feed the mother and babe, ensure Theodora and Zestia are, deliver Edmond and John Dee their food away from the main campfire. However, it was only later in the hours did that attempt occur - to murder Solun - a misfired arrow which grazed the cheek. She had been ordered to track the pair, and it was there in the shadow of the trees stood the clad pair. With words of order and a rose crossbow herself, Solun, and Monroe coaxed the attempted killers into revoking their masks. An unknown man and Alucard. Alucard. How much trouble would he cause? She had wanted to kill him there. He sought to explain himself, excuses. He tried to plead for forgiveness, too late. He wanted to face the Hexers, he wouldn't dare. He was a backstabbing fool, she knew. He dragged that dagger across the soft flesh of his neck, coward. He was unable to face the consequences of his failure, just like Kolette. Just like the few others she had met in her life. He did not deserve that morbid and pitiful end of his life. He deserved worse.
  7. Lhoris continues to slumber on hers and Albrechts beloved ship, snoozing peacefully. Unbeknownst to her said vessel was stolen alongside herself by Albrecht’s rowdy descendants. But for now she unleashed a loud snore.

  11. The pyre-preppers got to work. “Nope- nah, this isn't he youngest Barbanov-y, gonna need to kick out the heavy duty lifters and spare wood in the storage.” One said to the other, sweating.
  12. Elia Eryka gawked over the missive with a warm smile and nod. She anticipated the reign of her cousin, Ada.
  13. The wife of the Lubba stared silently at the words across the page, lips quivering. She sucked in a sharp breath purely in distraught, chest heaving with anguish. She folded the parchment up into a small square, stuffing it in her pocket.
  14. ((Literally the best pick for the position ngl, will do good to carry on good vibes the namesake just as Adam had))
  15. First the arrow struck her collarbone. The second arrow struck her head. It was that Mihyari menace behind the crossbow who shot Kolette, causing her that physical demise. The focus and steady which unfurled into her ungraceful doom. At least she didn't burn like Darya, she had thought, gripping the reins of her steed more tautly. As she glanced rightward to the mourning Masuo who struggled not to break. She inhaled, soon after shifting her sights to the wagon they lugged to Petra. Angelika, Solun, Verres, and Henry. Two wounded and asleep, one weeping for the loss of her sister, and one steeled as he gazed out at the endless mounds of sand and towering cacti. The images would haunt her forever -- of her first killing. Of the woman who deftly wept in pleads of forgiveness and death as corruption crawled within her frame, consuming the once kind soul. She grits her teeth, causing a pained neigh from the animal below who roused in discomfort and near alarm. A calming palm lowered to their neck as she provided it comfort, eyes steeling ahead. "Dangerous and harmful." She'd recite to herself, recalling her last words to Kolette. The woman would forever mourn, never acquiring peace over this death.
  16. As the keep roared asunder the young woman gripped unto the flank of Henry, supporting the wounded man with a heaving torso. She had finished slaughtering the corrupt mage, floor trembling under her feet as they hoped to support themselves against the havoc. "We-.. we must go!" She had started to scream aloud, though her cries fell upon deaf ears. Shrieks had come, filling her mind as the burning corpse of Darya fell from the tower of the keep, out of her sight. Only after when she sought to hastily evacuate that crumbling fortification did she dare sneak a peer downwards, catching a glimpse of what was the fate of that unfortunate Hexer. Her stomach churned.
  17. i ask this out of curiosity-.. why is it i feel like that people who are good at politics, event-planning, and other forms of minecraft diplomacy seemingly always taken advantage of? I say this out of observation and no specific reason.

Group builders put the collective ideal before themselves. In order to meet said collective ideal, these group builders must interact with other players in order to develop a base. Ambitious people around them do not care for the greater ideal and instead only desire personal success or self aggrandizement. Thus, the selfish actor in pursuit of their personal goals, will take advantage of the group builder's selflessness.

I'd also add that most people who actually study political theory try to create long term collective good, as opposed to power politick. Simply put, LOTC's meme culture rewards power politick and disfavors the high politics that political theorists try to emulate. Though, it should be known that most people who practice power politick IRP or OOCly are shortlived as the practice focuses on short term personal clout, as opposed to uplifting ones foundation and creating a change that lasts. So it's all a perspective thing, power politicians may appear the most successful in the immediate, but in the long term; their foundation always crumbles. This leaves the people who practice high politics the opportunity to pick up those pieces and further strengthen the position they've already carved out for their community.
