Media Team Community Involvement March 2025 THE INTRODUCTION Hey everyone, as you might have seen in the recently posted community team update, one of the new projects that the team is currently working on is a system for the members of the community to submit various types of media to be uploaded to the server’s official social media pages. We want to make the process as straightforward as possible, but still provide enough guidelines to define a clear path for successfully getting your media on our pages. THE PLAN The current plan is to provide a simple form that can be filled out with all the required information from the creator as well as a clear set of guidelines that must be followed by anyone hoping to have their media posted. Then the Community Teams Media Sect and Managerial group will go through the provided information and the submitted media itself, providing any possible suggestions or changes that might need to be made before it is ready to post. Otherwise, if no changes are required, the media will be posted and shared the same way as any other media that we make. In the case that the submitted piece does not follow the required guidelines, and it is not possible to make the required changes to bring it within these guidelines the submission will unfortunately have to be denied. We plan to have submissions open for all types of media, full-length videos, shorts, and even simple image posts, so your ideas are welcome for all these areas. THE QUESTIONS The plan with this post is to mostly gauge the interest from the community in participating in such a project. Additionally, we wanted to hear the thoughts of even those who aren't interested in helping but want to help us shape this into a successful plan. These questions aren't the extent of what you can say, but let us know if you have any thoughts regarding them! 1. Should we limit which platform people can submit uploads for? Which ones? 2. Should we limit the type of content we want people to submit? Which ones? 3. Are there any additional limits or restrictions on what people can submit 4. Your general thoughts on the plan. 5. This is ultimately the plan upon the completion of the new introductory video that is being worked on, the people working on that media project will shift their focus onto history videos. Though we plan to start small with it and not immediately jump to long history videos covering a massive amount of roleplay events. Probably with a medium sized war or something that is well documented enough that we could create a couple minute video with the available information, and then expand the scope with every successive video. Though even then it will be a large undertaking that hopefully the community itself would assist with.
