  1. Honestly, lore creatures that have to suffer major cooldowns, have their character locked away for x amount of time or require an extansive process of revival to be playable again after death are simply incentivized to try and avoid dying at all costs in encounters. Strip that shit out please, it doesn't make it any more fun for any party involved

It's also a really weird double standard when "mortal" characters face no punishment on death whatsoever, just instant revival by monks and you can continue RPing as if nothing even happened, you don't even need to acknowledge your death and all its baggage as It is pretty much voided from existence

@Agy you have okay-opinions sometimes but just use the worst logic and justification possible for them but this is just a bad one

I feel like many people forget most CAs shouldn't be desired RPly, they're permanent mutilations of the soul that should be taken with apprehension to some degree, and this needs to translate to mechanics one way or another. can we pls stop normalizing that things need to constantly be equal to each other and nothing can be at an advantage/disadvantage otherwise its "unfair????" things should be able to be stronger/weaker than other things on this server and im so over the opinion of coddling and chipping away at everything that makes a CA unique in the name of "balance." some LT on the zar'akal rewrite thought it was unbalanced for zar'akal to be immune to malflame for example and if you have any experience with naz lore you'd know why this is silly mechanically and thematically

as for flemish's point I think that this is hardly a CA exclusive issue and if someone really wants to not die, they're not gonna die. no amount of forgiving revival mechanics will change that. descendants are already functionally immortal and get revived instantly after death and people still find a way to make an encounter 2 hours longer than it needs to be so how does this boil down to being a CA issue
