  3. [T3] CRAVEN’S BANE - ACTIVE A cowardly combatant is antithesis to what a Templar stands for. Their benefactor's ire towards the craven manifests through this ability, where, upon focusing on their inner courage, they may target a specific foe and pull them closer towards the fight. Notes: Got the inspiration for this spell after xMuted's dauntless charge. Whereas some magics like Paladin put emphasis on ranged capabilities in some of its aspects, Templarism will always be close and personal at its core, similar to a Khornate Berzerker. They want to get within melee range, they want to get in the thick of things. During a crp encounter I spent roughly 15 emotes chasing a darkspawn, always being 1 meter away, but being able to do nothing because both of us ran 8 meters and sacrificed an action emote in order to do so, before ending with me giving up. This isn't a spell designed to be able to automatically pull anyone no matter their distance, which is why its max range is limited to 8 meters. Its just to catch that one guy and have an opportunity to attack, or the guy that sticks in the back bowing everyone from the comfort of distance. This is also why a person can only be targeted once no matter the number of templars. While the idea of spamming this on an undead as they scream surrounded by 5 templars pulling them back is funny as hell, that'd never happen. You got one shot. Use it wisely. [T5] WILL MANIFEST - ACTIVE Malchediael’s Radiant Templars at their foundations are descendants who exert their strength of mind and spirit to produce tangible effects on the world around them. Their will made manifest, they are capable of bringing into existence their patron’s blessing for a more prolonged defensive role, to see the Templar through even in the maelstrom of combat. As a Templar’s only true ally in battle is their weapon, their Will Manifested will deem the Templar dishonorable should they disregard their first drawn weapon. Notes: We (Hugo and myself) wanted something worse than Bulwark but more long lasting, which led us to Will Manifest. We also wanted to further the use of the Templar's bound armament as a catalyst for more spells. The idea originally was a full suit of external armor with a set hit durability per wound type, though we scrapped that in favor of leaving some regions open and some protected. There's no room for major wounds because if you wish to block against powerful attacks, use bulwark. During the brainstorming and getting some thoughts from other people, one person suggested we don't have the armor stack with currently worn one, though we couldn't find a way of implementing that without making the spell useless. You will almost never find a templar without armor unless they occasionally walk into ambushes, and standard armor by reliability alone will always be better than this. This is meant to be an addon, not a replacement. Special thanks to @HugoAntero for brainstorming and writing these spells with me. Additional thanks to the templars and people we consulted for feedback (you know who you are but I'm too lazy to mention all of you)
  4. Robert Stroheim read the missive and rubbed his eyes, the Templar of 50 years sighing, "Not this shit again. Next they'll be calling us Paladins."
  5. Robert Stroheim, floating in the bottom of a glass, read Yvian Galken's letter through inebriated lens, and wept for the loss of the man who made him a Ritter, so many decades ago. He thudded his wrinkled fist against his chest as per tradition, and spoke absently. "God bless you, Reinmaren exemplar. The world grows darker with your absence, and its ideals, more corrupted," making an oath of moment to name a descendent after the departed Gryphon, before remembering he was drunk, and passing out following a fat rip.
  6. Reports in the streets of Kanunsberg arose, of an aged Baron randomly screaming "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and high-fiving Minitzers as well as startled and confused Frank refuges in a high and drunken stupor.
  7. "Brother." "A hero's burial awaits." The words spoken were almost sarcastic in nature. The battle had not ended. The din of war had made itself known through screaming Minitzers and roaring Franks, though in this moment Robert had reduced it into a dull annoyance on the outskirts of his attention. Yet he could not leave his brother's body to bloat in the battleground that had encompassed their home. His arms heaved and reeled as clumps of dirt were taken from the earth, cupped by a rusted shovel, and deposited. Brotherhood required loyalty, not friendship, but Saxton's death had been a hard blow to stomach. They had no guarantees of any of their survival, yet it hurt all the same. Robert dropped the shovel, kneeling before the mass of bludgeoned pulp. He rested a hand over the body's eyes and closed them. He had no words to say, nothing that would matter. The Baron lifted the wreckage of his brother's frame and gently placed it in the open grave, filling it with the dirt he had scooped. The man's brows furrowed as he looked at the severed head of the body's killer, The Lord of Bones, still leaking its contents onto the thirsty soil. He grabbed it by its hair, and mounted the Frank Leader's head upon the heft of his Templar Banner with a wet crunch. Robert drew the ebony hammer he had claimed from the engagement, and incandescent flames leapt at the contact, wreathing the Warhammer's head in holy fires of ivory. He shed a tear for the death of what once was, before moving to rejoin the fight with renewed vigor.
  8. The aged Stroheim could say little to console his brother, consigning himself to the position of a silent yet supportive anchor. He placed his hand on the man's shoulder as Robert found him alone in the half-darkness of his chambers, the hold of his grasp strong and firm, while the other hand at his side, hidden in the shadows, quivered.

  10. DIE KULTURGESETZE The Culture Acts Drawn up by The Lawspeaker of Minitz, Maxwell Landren in the year of our Lord 1924 Edited & Proposed by The Lawspeaker of Minitz, Robert Stroheim in the year of our Lord 1936 SÖHNE UND TÖCHTER VON MINITZ, Throughout time, it can be easily seen that a pattern of cultures arises. When there is no common culture among one another, a faction is doomed to perish into obscurity as its traditions, the mark of its people, and its very soul, is forgotten in lieu of others. As such, I see it fit that these laws be enacted with the support of the Tribesmen such that our culture is preserved in purity forevermore. EDICT I: NAMES Thus is it proposed that a Subsection SEVEN be added to the SECOND Section in the SECOND Chapter of the THIRD book of the Kanun BE IMPLEMENTED AS: VII. ON REINMAREN NAMES: The Reinmaren Tribesmen of the Herzogtum shall be obligated to take a new name upon blooding, of origin Waldenian or Kaedreni. EDICT II: SUBVERSION Thus it is proposed that a TENTH Wrongdoing of the THIRD Chapter of the FIRST Book of the Kanun BE IMPLEMENTED AS: X. ON SUBVERSION: The subject who attempts to spread foreign cultural influences within our motherland, be it through food, language, dress, or likewise, in beyond an academic, casual, and/or business sense - as is the case should one attempt to coerce another into abandoning their culture for another - is guilty of the wrongdoing of Subversion. Let the wrongdoer pay a small fee of gold, not exceeding 200 pieces, and be relegated to change their ways at once. 15. Robert Stroheim Campaign [!] Lawspeaker Elections of 1929 [!] An artist's rendition of Robert Stroheim To the Reinmaren of Minitz It is with duty in my heart that I run for the position of Lawspeaker, a seat of office left empty in the wake of the final words to Sir Maxwell's story. To many, I am known as soldier; a veteran, a weary man who has had more days behind him than ahead. To the last vestiges of citizenry who remember the days of Old Brandthof, I was Lawman, tender to the Kanun. I had served during the same tenure as Sir Maxwell when we both had run and achieved the position, and together we had made several additions and amendments to the Great Kanun of Minitz. As I grow old, the effects of time take their course, though my mind has only been refined by life, and it is an unforgiving master. I find that not only am I more than able to perform the duties of Lawspeaker with the same vigor my departed friend imbued each Moot and court case with, but that it is fitting that I assume the mantle, years of experience in the same field following in tow. So I say to you, Reinmaren of Minitz, to allow me to continue serving, as I have for decades. My pledge is my service, and my words are my actions. 18. Robert Stroheim casts his very biased vote, smiling, “I love Minitz.”
  19. Robert felt a sudden exhilaration overtake him at the news. If there was anyone save the Duke who could undertake such a tiresome and draining task, the Templar knew it was Ser Karl, having full faith in his friend's abilities, "God what a glorious day!" As he proceeded to pump his fist up towards the sky enthusiastically in celebration.
  20. Robert reads and smiles, “I love Minitz.”
