TO THE ACCURSED Issued at Year 177 of the Second Age [!] A missive would be posted by a helmeted figure throughout the realms of Aevos. To the Fellow Devils of Aevos, It is already a grim fate to be cursed as we are, to look like infernal creatures either by birth or by horrific ritual. Such a mark on our soul is heavy and horrific. It is now made even worse by the Church of Canon’s decision, alongside all of their nation’s leaders, to commit genocide upon us through displacement at the point of a sword. This has been decreed all for the crimes of but a few of the many within the category of ‘cursed children.’ What Justice is there in that decision? What Balance is made to have such an extreme action towards those whose only thing that unites us is that we are all victims of the warlocks of Iblees? The death of a queen is absolutely horrifying, and the people who have done such a horrible crime should be executed either by flames or by hanging. The response to such a crime is NOT punishing those that have never committed such a crime. It is an injustice of the highest order to do so. To my kin in the same struggle, I ask that you come and visit a place that bears no such mark of persecution upon us. The speed of the hunt, the lighting reflexes of the bird and its prowl akin to unwaveringly brisk motion of a ballistae bolt. It saddens me to see such political conflicts devolve down to reprehensible bashing and accusations to the leaders of our faith. What would our forefathers, our exalted prophets who watch upon us say whilst seeing such a disappointing sight? What will our father, Exalted Horen say upon witnessing such petty squabbles amongst nations utilize the Holy Church as a scapegoat for their grievances? Have you not considered such thoughts within your minds when you penned such accusations? Non est dubium. There is no doubt that there is perhaps, a distrust brewing amongst the former members of the Canonist league. It is also conceded that such distrust opened the floodgates of animosity to seep into our souls and tampered with our faith. However, distrust amongst nations should not be misdirected to the Church. Have you all forgotten that it was the Church who acted swiftly to address the unprecedented flooding, the harsh winters, and the natural disasters that struck our Canon realms? Have you forgotten that it is His Holiness and the loyal servants of the almighty who organized relief for the children of Horen? It would seem that these missives implicating the Holy Church with alleged bias and corruption fail to address such benevolent actions our religious leaders have taken to provide for our communities. Perhaps a history lesson should do us some justice. The Canonist League was created for the sole purpose to rid the realm of Canondom against the Anathema, Heinrik Sarkozic. That was its only purpose. Once that purpose was fulfilled, the League of Veletz was welcomed into the Canonist League with open-even if some nations were hesitant-arms. Would it have not been better to petition the Church to address such allegations of bias against Veletz by the member states of the Canonist League? Would it not have been more logical to request the Church to call upon all the realms of Canondom to meet upon this issue and consolidate a more holistic and legitimate approach to inclusiveness amongst the children of Exalted Horen? Questions upon questions, yet I do not find any logical answer from the ones who pen these missives that seem to rebuke the Church and its teachings. Such actions can be seen as borderline schismatic rhetoric. It is quite disappointing that such public rhetoric has also caused the realm of Canondom to be nothing but a laughingstock amongst the enemies of our faith. They revel and relish this moment. I sincerely urge my fellow Canonist brethren to change their rhetoric and tone. Do not use the loyal servants of the almighty as a scapegoat. Such acts are reprehensible and heretical in their very nature. The safety of the pious folk who affiliate with the Church are also threatened with such rhetoric. I request you all see it within yourselves the damages this may cause to our souls and to our faith in the Almighty. It corrupts us and displays our weakness at a time when our very unity in the Faith is shaken and treaded upon by such strong words against the pious followers of the Almighty. A Holy Knight, named August Jazloviecki-Buckfort was sitting in his old armchair that remembers the golden era of Savoy, while smoking his cigar. It took several days for the Knight to reach the heartlands that have been like a second home for him ever since his beloved Savoy fell. There was one thought in his head - Dumapalooza. So as he did exactly what he has planned - August approached the gate, and greeted his nephew Aleksander Wilhelm with a smile, as none of his relatives knew of his intentions. He went in carrying the barrel in his bag,after that the Old Knight went for a peaceful walk toward the building, while entering he moved through the crowd to find himself standing near the fireplace that was close to the podium where the candidates for a new Duke of Adria were standing. He hesitated a bit, but after a short prayer he glanced at the gathered Adrians and opened the barrel. The smell was quite distinct, though due to the crowd it didn’t spread quickly. August raised his arms and poured all the content of the barrel over himself. He was certain that his decision was righteous and thus this action will be the best and only possible way to purify his soul. Not spreading the word of god and not attempting to convert pagans is taking away their right to join GOD in the seven skies. Every mortal in this world has a great potential to live a virtuous life, and we as the followers of GOD are commanded by GOD himself to guide them back to GODs path. But what if they don’t want to listen? In case they refuse to come back to GOD, instead of keeping on chasing and convincing the pagan to convert, the logical thing to do would be to leave the pagan alone, as they heard the truth and decided to keep following false idols anyway, it’s their and their problem only. Instructing us in Virtue, God tells of both the triumphs and failures of Our prophets. Do not fail as Ex. Owyn did. Do not reject the contrition of a man whose virtue was hard-won. Indeed, Ex. Owyn’s sin was so grievous that it initiated a full millennium of Silence from God. Yet it is written three verses later, in verse 56, “But you remain My prophet.” Gospel book 6, verse 45 further says of this “The Lord is merciful, and waits for our penance.” Duke William has sought the Lord’s forgiveness, and it was granted to him through Us. Where he was once a wicked Harren, he has now become like a forgiven Ex. Owyn. As God commands, if you repent, We shall forgive you for this sin of wrath, so alike to Ex. Know, dear reader, that my hands are calloused hands and my mind is not a Virosi’s mind, I am but a mere brother of the Reformative Monastery in Ulmsbottom. My work is not a scholar’s work but one of a poor brother who toils to aid his fellow Man. Therefore expect neither lyrical prose nor masterful poetry. I am moved by holy providence to write upon a topic that is often misinterpreted even by my brother priests and the public at large. It is not uncommon to hear, see and read polemics targeted against those who might call themselves Flamenist, particularly my Owynist and Lucienist brethren. Lily-livered appeasers and cowardly clerics will often decry our strictness and discipline, “Oh what of the pagan! What of the gentile!” they cry, worried that some imagined gentile might be offended by God’s truth. Hear here and now, oh brethren of mine: the pagan cares not if you preach tolerance and falsehoods, but Iblees will gladly devour your soul! Heed my word, then brothers of mine, read and enlighten your hallowed minds, for the Flamen path is not one of brutality and war, but rather one of diligence, discipline and mortification. I will endeavour to educate my brethren in the ways of Owynism and Lucienism, their history, teachings and disciplines, so that we might not see any more lies being spoken of us by our very own. Then, my dear reader, you may ask yourself: ‘you have spoken of Owynism and Lucienism and Flamenism, what then do you mean?’ In truth, there is little difference. Flamenism, at its core is the worshipful reverence and following of the Exalted Owyn’s example. The great prophet’s journey on this word can be summarized thusly: be pure, vanquish darkness, worship God. What does it mean then, to be pure? Quite simply, it is to follow God’s Law as given to Exalted Horen. What does it mean then, to vanquish darkness? Quite simply, it is to persecute sin, be it internal or external. What does it mean then, to worship God? Quite simply, it is to pray, fast and give right reverence to He-Who-Is according to the prescripts of Owyn’s Church. Flamenism is active, never passive. Flamenism prioritizes action over words. That, dear reader, are the trappings of Flamenism, and all who practice it may be rightly called Flamenists. Then, both Owynism and Lucienism can be rightly called Flamenist sects. The very basis of their ideals are rooted in the main three aspects of Flamenism. What then be their differences? I will at first detail their communalities: Right Belief Both sects hold God to be One and accept His Prophets. Lay Preaching Both sects hold to the primacy of the Believer. Sanctity of Marriage Both sects hold to the saintliness of the married state and it’s gendered roles. Martial Reverence Both sects hold to the high ideals of Just War. Human Purity Both sects hold to the belief that Mankind are God’s chosen people, decrying miscegenation. Regular Worship Both sects hold to the convening of regular ablutions and religious liturgies. These are the aspects held in common by both Owynists and Lucienists. In certain cases particular beliefs take on a larger emphasis; for example, in the Westerlands, Owynist clergy, known as the ‘Lectors’ were overwhelmingly laymen, while Savoyard Owynists in the Blackwald held to a more collegial clericalist position. So while all the aforementioned beliefs are the pillars of both Owynism and Lucienism certain aspects may take on greater or lesser emphasis depending on the needs and customs of the believers. Now, Owynism and Lucienism are not synonymous. There are very distinct differences between the two sects, likely owed to the fact of their differing history. Owynists were mostly of Kaedreni extraction, being loyal to the Chivays, while Lucienists, being members of a Holy Order, favoured the pre-eminence of the Pontiff over any lay-ruler. That is why the main difference betwixt these two sects of Owyn are rooted in ecclesial polity and not dogma. Caesaropapism The Owynist belief that God’s anointed ruler is supreme over the High Pontiff. Pontifical Infallibility & Authority The Lucienist principle that the High Pontiff is God’s chief priest and therefore above secular power. These are the two main points of contention. With the rise of the Chivays to imperial purple, and the end of the cursed Darfeyist Pontificate Caesaropapism rose to prominence. Spearheaded by Basil of Sabris and Simon of Khazav, their ‘Reformed Communion’ instanted Caesaropapism into official doctrine, making the reigning Chivays ‘Vicergents’ of the Church. Caesaropapism, however, proved to be a great failure. The Church stagnated and the Chivays proved themselves incapable of governing both secular and religious affairs. After the end of the Chivay regime and the rise of Canonism in 1471, the Lucienist polity had its chance at pre-eminence within the ecclesial regime. However, the Lucienists in Aesterwald quickly came into conflict with the High Pontiff due to his Raevir heritage, rejecting, in part, both his Infallibility and Authority. This was the first nail. The second came with the Second Diet of Metz in 1534, wherein the Church, under Johannian duress, renounced Pontifical Infallibility. This is to say that both divergent views have failed. Time and time again secular rulers have shown themselves incapable of tackling both divine and profane government. Pontiffs who declare themselves to be the Voice of God on Terra often prove themselves to be madmen, like Daniel III of cursed memory. Today, by God’s providence, both Flamenist branches do not concern themselves with petty questions of government. They exalt their fellow Man in God’s light, through the Prophets, keeping to the flaming covenant of Owyn. This unity is nothing short of the Lord’s divine plan. History has shown us to be petty creatures, capable of squabbling even when more unites us than divides us. Therefore let us cry out: DEUS misericordia est! This, dearest reader, has been the short compendium on Flamenism and the brother sects of Owynism and Lucienism. Their pillars tell us more about the nature of Flamenism. Often we are decried as radicals and zealots. Know that we are nothing if not poor sinners, attempting to craft ourselves in the image of our Prophet. Sometimes we are called to just war, yes, sometimes we are called to purge those who offend God, just as Owyn had, but the core of Flamenist doctrine is not to persecute the wicked, but to persecute our own sin, first and foremost. A Time Of War To the people of Oren, War has been declared by heretics of Norland to one of the Canonist nations, The Empire of Oren. For us, devout Canonists are trying to live accordingly to the words of the Holy Scrolls. My message to the Orenian people is; stay safe, and fare well into the war that is coming to you, for the heretics are the ones who are the threat to your faith. Spare the ones who surrender themselves as God is one who shows mercy upon people, whether they are your enemy or not; perhaps allow them time to learn from our Scrolls and to learn our way of life. O' you soldiers, of the Imperial State Army, if you ever reach the villages of the Norlanders, do not capture the children or the women, for they are innocent beings and both the main foundation for the upbringing of a new generation of people. God is the most high, and he shall show mercy upon those who try to discover his ways, the righteous path. It is God, who shall help you in your times of need, it is Him who shall ensure your victory against heretics. Quite recently, many attempts of assassinations have been made on those who are serving God. This is why I call all believers of our Church to stay cautious wherever you are! As the threats are not just made to us, men of God but also against the believers of the Church! These people (The Qalasheen).. who claim to believe in 'God' are in fact believers of Iblees, putting swords on the necks of Priests, and trying to murder all those who do not believe in their deity. Shame on them! As a victim of an attempted assassination, which had been attempted by one of the Qalasheen folk, this is what they call a ‘Jihad’ also known as a strive to spread their religion in other nations by using horrific violence and acts. This system of beliefs must be stopped, immediately! We can not tolerate such actions to our people who believe in God. Witchcraft, Magic & Paganism ☨ A letter written by, Father Ivarus of Saint Heinrik Basilica, Jorenus Paganism, Witchcraft, Magic.. all terms to describe the work of Iblees, the practicing of human-sacrifices.. summoning Daemons in the name of false Idols, this is pure sacrilege to the citizens of nations where Canonism, our religion is the major religion, as God is the only one Lord who rules over our World. Everywhere I go, but also where others go, you can see people practicing dark magic in front of the basilica, this is something only the wicked would do, as us, Canonists follow the Word of our lord God. Recently, there was an execution of a Witch in Karosgrad, Haense, this lady practiced witchcraft and was sentenced to death by being burned alive on a stake. This, is what should be done to everyone who opposes Canonism and it's beliefs, as we can not risk the influence of dark magic being expanded into the nations where Canonism is the dominating religion. People nowadays, are so tolerant in these practices, but keep in mind, that when this spiritual-practice of witches, wizards and pagans is still being tolerated, that the word of God will mean absolutely NOTHING to them, they will laugh at you, in front of your own basilica where you attend mass to receive the wisdom of God himself! Utter madness! Even the Koeng of Haense, His Majesty Heinrik Karl got possessed by a Daemon of Iblees and could almost have DIED if there was no healer or a Priest present, due to the practices of the people we allow in Haenseti-Ruska- But let us also not forget, Oren. And the people who speak against the Church, Godan, these people should not be allowed to enter any soil where a Church of our faith is, as their presence is the purest form of sacrilege, a disgrace to the Church, one who we often consider to be apart of the damned in the void. This verse here, obviously shows that all devout Canonists should rise up, and show no mercy towards those who oppose our faith, which is the most important aspect of our culture and identity. An aspect, we should not be ashamed of, nor be afraid to tell people that we are Canonists, as it is God who shall protect us against the Heathens! God, will bring us to eternal Life by using his divine powers, it is God who will expell the Daemons of Ibless from your property as He is the Most High One in the entire Universe, so do not fear the Daemons, as it is God shall be with you, and as He will be the one who will protect you, when the sun is rising in the morning, and when the moon is shining in the dark midnight. Do not lose your faith in the eyes of the most High One, thus he is the God of your salvation! The Holy Cross, which you carry, will be a sign of your devotion and love to the Lord who watches over us, in all eternity. If you lose your Faith, keep in mind, we are all Children of God, he is the Father who made sure you are on this Earth. Even in the times of War, He shall protect you, even if you face Death itself. Saint Harald Vuiller. The patron St of Priest combatants & Demonic banishment. Born on the First of the amber cold 1699. Dead at the Sixteenth of the Amber Cold 1760. Father Harald Vuiller cirka 1756. The Life of Father Harald Vuiller Harald Vuiller was born on the first of the Amber Cold to Alf & Johanna Vuiller in 1699 in the city of New Reza while his mother and father were on a business trip to the city to buy supplies for their keep and the land around it. He was the firstborn from a group of siblings of three. Harald, Auriann, and Lukas Vuiller. As the firstborn Harald was the heir of House Vuiller and to the family lands but when he chose at the age of 14 to join the army and travel the realm of Godan serving the armies of man. It was during these years that Harald picked up an interest in becoming a Priest and Bishop. He would at every new town and city they went to join the people in prayer in their churches and temples. His family had always been close to the church and followed the laws of the Scrolls and it was from this he chose that any man who fell in battle either at his own side or at the side of the enemy should be given a proper burial. he would spend countless hours after each battle tending to the bodies of the dead making sure they would get the burial they deserved. while on the road or awaiting battle he would spend his time making wooden or stone crosses that he would place on the chest of the dead as he placed them to their final rest. At the start of his time in the army his comrades would chuckle and joke about his actions as he would move countless bodies from the battle ground and digging individual graves from them. But after a heafty battle where they had lost over half of their men Harald was asked to host a prayer for their fallen brothers as their souls traveled to the seven skies. It was after this he was given the nickname of “the Battle Bishop.” After serving in the army for close to 16 years Harald would get a letter from his younger sister Auriann about the passing of both of their parents. He would be granted a leave from his duty in the army i fought for and set sail back to Arcas to join his family in morning his wife who he married just 4 years earlier joined him as well after being let of her duty. On their way to the Vuiller keep they went through New Reza Harald was filled with joy seeing how the city and its people had recovered after the battle of the Rat King. After the burial of their parents Harald would spend some months with his family in their family land before leaving for New Reza joining the Brotherhood of St. Karl but as he entered the city he would be surrounded by the soldiers he wished to join not understanding what had happened or why they would surround him. after getting attacked by the five men he would be dragged out of the city and thrown on the ground outside the gates getting told “We do niet wish for your kind here Vuiller!” without understanding nor knowing why he had been removed from the city he had early in his years helped to defend he would finally get his answers from a member of the Brotherhood and the Chaplain at the time Jacques De Beaumont who would inform him that his sister had been accused of witchcraft. Hearing these words Harald would sit down outside the city walls looking over to the River Rubern asking Godan for guidance. a vision would come to him of a man wearing a white cloak whispering the tounge of Iblees. From these visions he would track the man down trying to break the curse that had been placed on his sister but it was already too late. as a letter would reach him informing him of the trial of Auriann Vuiller in New Reza. he would come there just in time for the sentence of the lord Palatine “Auriann Vuiller, you are found guilty of witchcraft and is sentenced to death by drowning!” as these words where uttered a tear would fall from Harald´s eyes as he saw his little sister being dragged out of court towards the docks of New Reza he would quickly follow them watching them as his sister was thrown in the waters with rocks binded to her feet, as her body went down in the dark waters he´d look to the ground as tears would stream down his face. But has he though all hope was over the guards would shout as they could see her swim away as they had forgotten to bind her hands and remove her knife. After this Harald would spend many years cleansing his family name as he joined the Brotherhood and quickly raised through the ranks and became the Chaplain of the Brotherhood. During these years Harald would also be Ordained by the man then known as Cardinal Boniface swearing to spend the rest of his days in the service of the church. Many years pass as Harald keeps on his mission to serve Godan a mission and promise he would keep until his final breath. During these years many great things would happen during his life, but also many sorrows. While he was out fighting in a battle with the Brotherhood of St. Karl his wife who was pregnant at the time would be kidnapped. no matter how many years he spent searching for her he would never see her again. After the loss of his wife and their children Harald would commit the rest of his living years to serving and studying the Holy Scrolls and to serve Godan. Living in New Reza as well as at his Family's keep he would use the money he had earned during his times at war to build and start a Orphanage in the city of New Reza while being active in service at the Brotherhood of Saint Karl taking part in the Voidal battles, and the war between the Holy Orenian Empire and AIS. Turing this war Harald also discovered a cult spreading through out Haense, reporting this to the Regent Tiberius, he kept his work in the shadows until he was finally able to remove the cult from the Kingdom he loved. when the time of war was finally over the city of New Reza would be indangered by a new treat as Demons would often attack the city. Harald a now old man but still in fighting spirit would take his part in fighting of these demons while using prayer, blessed weapons and exorcisms to remove the demons from Godans Terra. But one day a demon too strong even for the old priest would attack the city making fire rain from the sky using his voidal magic to attack the city and GOD´s noble flock. Harald would draw his sword from his cane running towards the demon attacking it as he shouted prayers to his brothers the demon would strike him making the old man fall to the ground before turing his hand towards him making the old priest float 15 feet in the air. The voidal magic would make Harald twist and turn in pain as his body would slowly turn to stone. as the magic had reached his neck he would still hold on to his golden cross shouting out “In GOD we trust as he shall bring our souls to the seven skies in eternal peace with his love!” This would be the final words of Father Harald Vuiller. As the magma still went around and inside Haralds body the demon would not be able take the attacks that stroke him after spending so much of his magic and energy on killing the priest. as a final blow was struck towards its head the demon would explode in a fire of magma that all would fly through Harald before his now stone body would fall towards the ground. Just before he would hit the ground being guaranteed to break into a million pices a beam of light would strike him making the body float over the ground. and this was the end of Father Harald Vuiller. or so we thought… Miracles “The Beam of light” As his body of stone would fall towards the ground a beam of light would strike the body making it float just before it would hit the ground saving it from breaking into a million pices. “The help of a fallen father” over twenty years after his passing during the time of need of the noble flock and after his old friends and family had prayed for guidance a shadowy figure would show to offer them guidance. This would be the soul of Father Harald Vuiller. after roaming God mortal realm for some time he would finally meet with his old friend High Pontiff James II. they spoke for hours about the seven skies and both agreed that God must have sent Harald down to the realm of the living to serve and do whatever he could to help in the battle against the Inferni. This work of information is taken from my fathers jernals over the years. the later part describing his death is from eye witnesses and the information given by people who where there. The Palatine Guard Order of All-Saints Est ca. FA 1730 “In Hoc Signo Vinces “Cum visu procul raptas aquilae regnaturi sumus vicit” "In this sign, you shall conquer. “With the eagles far sight we shall reign victorious” -Saint Harald of Vuiller , ca. 1730 HISTORY OF THE ORDER The Palatine guard was established and led by Saint Harald Vuiller of Vuillermoz during the years of 1730 within the borders of the Holy See of Vuillermoz. The Order was firstly set forth due to the urgent need for protection of the noble canonist flock and its people during the time. From this Harald thought each of his members not to raise a sword against any who had accepted GOD into their heart and that any soul could be saved and was worth saving no matter race or age. These teachings and moral code is what our Order is based and built on. Any found member to be found breaking these morals and teachings attacking the innocent be handed punishment found fit for what crime they have committed. When St. Harald passed to the Seven Skies in 1761 his Son Johan Vuiller would take over from his place as Heir of House Vuiller. he would commit to the teachings of his father and working closely with his Holiness the High Pontiff James II and the rest of the Curia the Order would grow in numbers for years it blossomed until a disagreement with the late King Sigismund of Haense the city and Order would suffer, from being told that the Crown of Haense would see it as a act of war if the borders of the city would move from their current position. This would make the city cramped farms not able to grow larger and feed the people. From this now Knight-Regent and Cardinal Johan would admit defeat and advise his people to move from the town to ensure they would survive. After meeting with his Holiness after this and Johans close allies in the High Council his father had created they would together ask for aid from the Holy Orenian Empire. The late Emperor responded to their ask of aid and they were given new land next to the commonwealth of Kaedrin. With the help of the Grandmaster Ademar Castello and Cardinal Manifred, Johan would be able to build up their new town. here they would once again be at peace and with that change a new name for the town was ready for the world and it would then be formerly known as The Holy Palatinate of Aquila. Some years later the Grandmaster Holy Sir Ademar Castello came to Johan asking to be released from his position as Grandmaster as his age had started to catch up to him, Johan agreed to this under the terms that Ademar would stay in his position until they had found a person fit for the responsibility. After Johan and Ademar felt they had found two candidates the title ended up going to Jensen Amador, a sermon would be hosted where all Holy Knights and Squires were invited as the responsibility would go from one to another. After the ceremony was finished there would be a celebration feast within the walls of the Vuillerian keep until nights end. The day after Johan and Leonid would quickly get to work and their partnership would see a blossoming within the Order. But with a lot of new members and change it is important that we remember where we started. Our Order is built on the teachings of St. Harald, and these shall be our code of life. We are an Order dedicated to the protection of any man, woman,, elf, mage, dwarf and “hobbit” alike. any living creature that has accepted God's eternal light and love into their life and soul shall be protected unless they stand as a threat to the rest of the noble canonist flock. Harald Vuiller ca. 1754 A TIME FOR CHANGE With the move from our home in Arcas it is only fit that some changes are made within the Order. Not only because we are in a new land, but also with the change of leadership with the Grandmaster, Holy Sir Leonid Amador has brought some fresh air into our Order and it is only fit we make some changes with that in mind. Therefore I would like to declare and show some of these changes. THE COAT OF ARMS With these changes our Order has welcomed a new Coat of Arms, this change has been made to better represent what our Order stands for and its purpose. We see the flaming sword of the Archangel Michael, the Pontifical Orb, the Lorraine cross all held by the Eagle that represents our order. THE ARMOUR OF THE HOLY KNIGHTS The change of armor is something that has been in the work for quite some time. It needs to produce the right amount of protection as well as letting our Knights move with ease during a battle or confrontation. Therefore we have long worked on and planned with these new armors. They combine the colors of our Order with the dark mist within its metal core, giving it a outstanding look easy to recognize. Painting of a Holy Sir during the last battle against the Inferi Ca- 1790 RANKS OF THE ORDER For the change in our Order as our ranks fill up with new life and members we have decided to make changes to these ranks, their position and purpose. The following ranks are as follows. Auxiliary Auxiliaries are the reservists of the Palatine Guard. They do not swear vows, but make a nonbinding promise of obedience. Auxiliaries may discharge their promise at any time; likewise they are not bound to activity requirements. Though it is also those from the Auxiliary rank that will be chosen to become squires if they have proven themselves in their service to the church. Squire The duty of a Squire lingers around learning as much as possible from their mentor. this not only being about how to swing a sword but also on the matters of canonism, history, demons, phantoms, combat and the different cultures around us. they shall also learn how to behave around different people and situations. Once their training is complete they are to take their Oath to become a Holy Sir or Holy Dame. They will then be the sword and shield of the canonist flock, the church and its members. Holy Knight A Holy Knight has taken an oath laying down a promise to Godan that they shall and will serve and protect the Holy Mother Church and its members and the noble Canonist flock. They are to be accepting of all who have taken God’s love into their hearts and offer them protection no matter if they are a bishop or beggar. Holy Knights are also to take a minimum of one squire under their wing to teach them in the ways of the church and our Order. A Holy Knight may choose their Squire but for the squires to be knighted their mentor (The Holy Knight) must bring them forth for the Grandmaster or Knight-Regent for them to decide if they are worthy of Knighthood. Holy Knight Prior A Holy Knight Prior are as officers within our Order. They are given special responsibilities and task within the order and are the Grandmaster’s helping hands to make sure our order is at its best at all times. They will be able to host trainings, patrolls, and smaller missions with the other Knights & Members, once finished they are to report back to the Grandmaster and Knight-Regent A Holy Knight Prior may choose their Squire but for the squires to be knighted their mentor (The Holy Knight) must bring them forth for the Grandmaster or Knight-Regent for them to decide if they are worthy of Knighthood. Grandmaster The Grandmaster is the overview and controls the Order. only answering to the Knight-Regent himself. The Grandmaster holds the power of accepting new members, having them take the oath to become Holy Knights, host missions, accept missions or bounties delivered to the Order etc. The Grandmaster is to keep the Knight Regent informed at all times of what changes are happening, how our ranks are being filled, how they are doing, reports from missions, and all other information that has to do with the Order itself. As their power over the Order is only matched by the Knight-Regent it is important that they fulfill this role. They must be able to teach the Knights of our teachings and way of life. The Grandmaster's powers are only limited to the following. The Grandmaster can not decide for the order on a political standpoint, either if this being in an election or in the case of war. This decision is for the Knight-Regent and High Pontiff to make with the input and acceptance of the Grandmaster being present during the meeting. The Grandmaster can not change or alter the armor, coat of arms, name, patrons Saints or teachings without the acceptance of the Knight-Regent. The Grandmaster can not strip any Holy Knight of their titles without the blessing of the Knight-Regent. Knight-Regent The Knight-Regent is in full control and power over the Order itself, but will give out the position of Grandmaster to his most trusted member. The Knight-Regent will often be working more in the political part of the order, keeping their relations with the canonist nations abay, taking part in important meetings, and keeping a close interaction between himself and the Grandmaster and Holy Knight Priors. He is to command and the Order making sure to protect the Holy Mother Church and every single member there off, he shall also make sure the land holdings of the church is under protection, such as Cathedrals, abbys, alters etc. Candidates for Holy Knighthood are granted that rank by swearing the following oath before the Grandmaster of the Palatine Guard Order or the Knight-Regent of the Holy Palatinate: “I vow to never falter, to obey and guard the laws of GOD, who is the one true Creator. I vow to be the sword and shield of the Church of the Canon and her faithful, to fight for them when they cannot protect themselves. I vow to resist the temptations of Iblees and strike down those who have fallen under his dark rule. I vow to keep my post as Holy Knight until death takes me from this realm into the next.” With the response by the administering official: “Then rise, [Name], and join your brothers as Holy Sir/Dame [Name and Epithet]. You are a Holy Knight of this land and all the lands of the Church of the Canon, sworn to protect the people of the Canonist faith.
