@DPM if you report powergamers then they are gone and others will not do what they had done. Just whining that powergaming exists does nothing.

what i said was that you can pretty much pick a part in your head what a magic does by looking at the title and maybe just skim through the post if that didn't already give it away. **** like translocation, water/fire/whateverthefuck evocation, conjuration, if you know what the words mean, you can make pretty good guesses at what it does. you should only really need to give the more uncommon bullshit like some of dark and deity magics a brief read, but even then **** like necromancy, soul puppetry, clericalism and paladins are definitely not original ideas and/or dead giveaways.

What matters is the intent to commit metagaming. It wasn't going to ever happen since to 'catch' Alex on metagaming Skale would've had to do so himself. That Alex was offering to metagame for Skale is proof enough that he intended to do so and can be considered 'attempted metagaming' which should be punished just as if he succeeded in metagaming.

I do see where you're coming from, but lets be real. Wolfkite threatened to join the Dominion just to start a rebellion because LeoWarrior refused to come with him, he said this in OOC mind you...Wolfkite should be banned more than Alex. I don't agree with the punishment though, someone who has threatened to commit murder shouldn't be punished as much as a real murderer.(Just an example)

Bans don't really accomplish much so I'm generally not in favor of them. The server is, in general, way too tolerant of metagaming though and I don't think it's reasonable to say it doesn't matter b/c other people have done worse and gotten away with it.
