wait but from what i know that server was not related to LOTC aside the characters, which in my opinion should not matter as if it is not your character it is not your business, if it was not pushed as an LOTC server this seems alittle out of proportion

It was advertised as an art hub for said player that LoTCers could use and it was also posted on the official LoTC main discord server, advertising players to join it.

I know you’re trying to defend your good friend (B) but alas you must think rationally.

    To my teacher,

I write to you this missive in regards to the fourth task that was set. You witnessed as I brawled against the elder-druid, yet made manifest by some horrible curse, I was struck down by the sky and left burned by lightning. This, I believe, is a sign that I am too powerful for my own doing.

ᚤᛟᚢ ᚹᛁᛚᛚ ᚠᚨᛚᛚ ᛁᚾ ᛒᚨᛏᛏᛚᛖ. ᛞᛖᚨᛏᚺ ᚹᛁᛚᛚ ᚲᛟᛗᛖ ᚢᚾᛏᛟ ᚤᛟᚢ, ᛏᚺᛟᚱ, ᛋᛟᚾ ᛟᚠ ᛗᚨᚾ. ᚺᛟᚹᛖᚡᛖᚱ, ᛁᚾ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚠᚨᚲᛖ ᛟᚠ ᚨᛞᚡᛖᚱᛋᛁᛏᚤ, ᚤᛟᚢ ᚹᛁᛚᛚ ᚠᛁᚾᛞ ᚷᚱᛖᚨᛏ ᛈᛖᚨᚲᛖ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛈᚱᛟᛋᛈᛖᚱᛁᛏᚤ, ᚨᚾᛞ ᚾᚨᛏᚢᚱᛖ ᚹᛁᛚᛚ ᚲᛚᚨᛁᛗ ᚤᛟᚢ ᛟᚾᚲᛖ ᚨᚷᚨᛁᚾ.

This hammer you have created; it is not something you are worthy. Know that the lightning that strikes you verily, is to temper your body, so that you are prepared for trials and tribulations that will follow.

Please understand this wisdom for me.

    i_6Xy39mZXszUZB7km8SPo3-X2tWWCY6fAU4PbdrrW6VBT2TEwhDHyxeC2UcYQ-c5NedZFbLiPhaAD6a8lvsmQn9jZsqMmFr1WIZIQzSFcwhPOi0ail38VD5YAaEF9JsqZh6Kpt8wU0IJ0ErJ-Kk3_4

In my fourth task, you asked me to craft a weapon. You did not explain much else, outside of it requiring it to be made of some sort of wood on the handle. I understood this, and so I set off on my journey. Truth be told, teacher, but the druids are useless. None could craft anything but wood, and it became an extremely hard venture, when those I seek to learn from - besides you - could not even grace me with any ounce of wisdom, or knowledge.

Eventually, I came upon a dark-elf. He is good friends with one of your students, who goes by the name of Adriel. He taught me how to forge, but asked me to bring the materials myself. In those days, I went out on another trial, and found myself battered, bruised, and broken - day after day - until I scrawled my way onto the forge.

This weapon, I believe, will be a test of my courage, and strength. To this, I call, Mjolnir - for as I am struck by lightning, this hammer shall be of the thunder god’s wrath. I embrace it. When struck, it resonates with strength, and I can feel it coursing across my arm - it feels alive, teacher.

Whoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess my power.

    Signed,

    Thor.

  6. Stand at the edge of a PK-Zone, after being warned you're standing next to a PK-zone numerous times. You continue to stand there on purpose, you're warned over three times, but you ignore the warning and the ST decides to drop you into the pit (you're doing it deliberately, you're not standing afar, you're standing right on its rim).

You're given the chance to escape the pit many times, but you decide to proceed onwards, after being told it is a PK-zone.

    You die.

It's the fault of the ET.

gg playerbase, if they arent begging for items and hand holding, theyre crying about dying over their own faults

My original point stands. As Java said, it's utterly insane to shelve an active CA on the pretence of 'I've spoken to Fjarrigua' (only, as far as I can tell, inactive/oldplayer folks who think the CA is unfixable whilst the new players believe the opposite and have worked with LT management to bring the vision about), and on the notion of 'ET could do it better', because that's true of just about every CA.

Believe this if you want to... again...

    Also light mode is crazy.

I'd also like to emphasise that you did not speak to Diogen, the leader of the Fjarrigua community, about shelving, and instead only spoke to them about the lore without mentioning the purpose of the discussion; they do not endorse this idea (I have asked Diogen directly, and they have confirmed). As far as I can tell, you've put the name of Diogen into the post for the purpose of lending the post validity/credence, which is somewhat dishonest.

Believe this one if you want to.

    ORIGIN

    History

As was the caste system of most human kingdoms, aristocrats brought a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and culture; an august and patrician breadth of composure varied from their person. Kriemhild, a woman of an aristocratic family, ran with swelling tears dribbling across a snow-craven land. Sorrow grasped a tight fold around her heart; so pained she was, that her cries echoed out into the mountainside, where her emotions frenzied in distraught, looking to put silence to her suffering. All dispositions of endearment, love, and morality wept out from her undulating tears, until she lay collapsed in ice, no longer able to muster that same compassion, nor force out any tears. This, she lay, in sorrow.

In the cold wastes of Skjoldier, where Ondnarch manifested as a peerlessly black and corrupt deity, his soul ebbed with the concordant sorrow manifesting in the soul of Kriemhild. Know that in this congruent state of hatred, did Ondnarch cry over the grieving noble-lady, his tears whisking onto her form as a torrent of hail.

Kreimhild walked on barefoot, as snow, flakes, and ice took hold of her languid and tiresome form. This blessing, or so Ondnarch thought, came in vile and evil ways. It may have been due to his corruption, or simply the nature of her demise, but the woman came to be first of the frost mothers; an innate sorcery, a desire for descendant flesh, and a cruel, icy glare at the world.

    PERSONALITY

    Characteristics

The frost-witches are cruel, conniving, and cold-hearted races that live out in snowy tundras, isolated from the presence of those not within their small coven. Due to their obnoxious ferality and wild, ritualistic nature, most blessed of Wyvrun are not welcome in compact nations where horror-spawn are considered anathema.

As cunning as they are wicked, the Fjarrigua look to provide their coven with protection, either by ensaring their victims, or by showing an outward and violent force with their ice-sorcery. Know, though known as the favoured of the Aengul of Sorrow, they are nothing short of accursed; they lack empathy, the same warmth you would find in mortals, and should it not be a feigned ignorance or theatrical display, a lack of joy outside of their fiendish cannibalism. Every so often, a frost-witch will have this senseless craving for descendant flesh, and this sways their personality, as listed below.

➵ Fed; a fed frost witch will act as someone that is vastly intelligent, cunning, yet still deprived of their mortality - as listed above, this would be summarised by their cruel, sorrowful approach.

➵ Hungry; an esurient frost witch may retain their same intelligence, and their cunning, but will have this senseless desire and obsession to feast. Knowingly, they can use their charm, and their cruelty, to trick, or otherwise ensnare their chosen victim.

➵Starved; a starved frost witch normally loses all their mortal senses, and grows into a hungered, feral and wild beast that seeks to hunt their victim. This does not mean they are incapable of understanding risk and danger, but may not see it as their priority.

Yet, there exists a higher echelon in the coven’s of a fjarrigua; august, immortal, and lacking any warmth in their body, they are known as first kin of Kriemhild, daughters of Ondnarch, and ice-maidens. Although much the same in personality as their daughters and sisters, the frost-mothers lack the same mortality found in any common descendant or frost-witch. So perverse is their view on the natural world, that they see it in such an obsolete and unnatural way. First and foremost, their mental health takes a heavy toll; a theme that is most familiar to a frost-mother consists of personality disorders, hallucinations at random intervals, or self-actualisation (the point in being when you remember your post).

The most powerful asset for a frost-witch would be their ambition, which stems from their hatred and pain. A concurrent theme is drawing from the deepest pit of their worries, or an event that caused them the most grief, so as to why they relinquished their mortality. For example, a frost-witch that was once cast out of their homes for declining noble marriage, may come to find themselves incessantly obsessed with regicide.

⤜ Due to suffering numerous mental ailments, a frost witch will find it hard to ever return to a semblance of their old life, and will struggle with being able to properly adjust to their curse in any normal descendant society, due to their particular inclination for their flesh.

⤜ A lot of this personality allows for a frost-witch to draw from certain aspects and themes. Usually, as written in their backstory. This lore provides event-team the tools to create an engaging eventline out of common issues that a normal person could reasonably assent from.

⤜ Covens are a large part of frost-witch culture and they will stick together to some capacity should they be capable of doing so. A frost-witch hails a frost-mother, as written, in a parental, guider, or teacher sort of way.

    PHYSICAL

    Appearance

A frost-witch, as per its moniker, usually appears less-descendant and draws from their icey, snow-based themes. Most of this includes looking pale, having icey-skin, and looking feral or inhuman. However, this is different based on their state, diet, and general attitude on how they are to be played.

➵ Fed (disguised); a frost-witch that has been amply fed is able to disguise as a normal descendant, usually embracing their old appearance. However, this is but a facade of their true appearance. In this state, a frost-witch is unable to cast any of their spells without morphing back into their real, icey-person. Even when disguised, a frost-witch will appear cold to touch unless they use certain items as advised in the latter sections.

➵ Fed (real); a frost-witch without their disguise looks more fierce and monstrous; as Ondnarch was once corrupted by the hands of Iblees, his curse too passed on the same ferocious and disgusting appearance that he donned in this time. A frost-witch will usually grow a foot in size, with large, prickly fingers that have claw-like nails; their teeth may protrude out from their maw, flaunting hideous canines, and their skin will lack any warmth or colour, growing into different shades of blue that resemble ice. In most cases, their hair turns white, and it grows longer, like tendrils whipping around. Their face may retain some of its former beauty, but will not be likeable to watch.

➵ Hungry (real); a frost-witch that is in the process of starving will no longer be able to maintain their disguise, too focused on keeping their mind from the brink of collapse. Usually, a hungry frost-witch will retain most of their real appearance, but some distinguishing features that may differ in this form includes slight wrinkles in their flesh, blisters, or the tearing of skin.

➵ Starved (real); a frost-witch that has starved in full will never be able to maintain any sort of disguise, as they care too little of their appearance. Due to their lack of nourishment, a frost-witch will grow pale, with blisters, spots, rough-acne, and poor-quality skin-care as many signs. They may start to look older due to their skin sagging, and their bones might hunch to give an old-lady, witch-esque appearance. Their hair will begin to frizzle and their general appearance will look unkempt; a noticeable feature in this will be their tongue, which has grown larger as to make it easier in the eating-process when salivating raw descendant flesh.

Unlike frost-witches, a frost-mother will fall in line with most of the same characteristics as above. A noticeable change will be their greater height, which increases by two-feet, and that their body looks as though it has been carved out of ice. Although written that frost-witches begin to lose quality in their skin, a frost-mother will not, and they will usually maintain the same appearance throughout the three different-stages due to their body being as stiff as ice.

⤜ A frost witch will be seen to lose their appearance once they have: casted, grown hungry, or have been stabbed by implements such as aurum, salt, thanhium, argentum, or brightsteel.

⤜ A frost-mother maintains their fed-appearance throughout all four stages, but their personality still differs in each. This is only because they are made to look as though they are carved from ice, and maintain that stiff, firm disposition.

⤜ A frost-mother is made from cursed-ice, and so this means that they will avoid places where flames or heat is present.

⤜ Most of these aesthetics are free-form for the event-team member in question, so long as they follow that same theme.

    ICE-SORCERY

    Abilities

This section is written with less-detail so as to provide event-team and those using this world-lore some sort of guidance on what can be achieved, and what may be overstepping their usual powers.

➵ Sabbaths (rituals); frost-witch covens are capable of coming together in order to hail large rituals either through sacrifice or use of their ice-sorcery. This includes, but is not limited to, conjuring ice-storms, conjuring creatures made of ice (ice-spiders, ice-golems), conjuring ice-spikes, making ice-buildings, or causing devastating destruction.

➵ Casting (spells); a frost-witch can use ice-spells through incantations, normal spell-casting, or otherwise through conduits made of cursed-ice (such as staves) in order to cast ice-based spells. This is up to event discretion, but can be something similar to: ice-spikes, ice-shards, ice-walls, ice-shields, conjuring ice-swords and so on.

➵ Hexes (curses); a frost-witch can curse descendants with a plethora of different ailments. This is up to event discretion, but can include: cursing someone to feel cold, cursing someone to have shaky hands, cursing someone to have a desire for raw meat, and so on.

➵ Enchanting (spells); a frost-witch can enchant cursed-ice weaponry only in order to provide it with cool ice-attributes. This is up to event discretion, but can include: ice-swords that create a patch of ice in a certain area that is hit, ice-stave that can cast ice-spells, and so on.

These are simply a few examples of what a frost-witch or frost-mother could achieve, and should be up to event-team wholly as long as it thematically fits the current themes listed on this world-lore.

⤜ They are heavily weak to fire, especially dragonsflame or flames with higher intensity that normal. However, normal fire will hurt them.

⤜ The frost-witches are weak to aurum, argentum, thanhium, brightsteel and weapons enchanted with fire-attributes due to their nature as darkspawn. Of course, this is always up to the event-team to emote.

⤜ A frost-mother is made from cursed-ice, and so this means that they will avoid places where flames or heat is present. They are heavily weak to fire, especially dragonsflame or flames with higher intensity than normal. However, normal fire will hurt them.

    PURPOSE

    Explanation

This lore serves to shelve all current renditions of frost-witch lore and reverse all current frost-witches into their normal descendant self. After much discussion with numerous frost-witch players, they feel that the lore is not being served the proper justice or narrative, and that it would be a greater piece on the server if it should serve as world-lore that can be used by story-team to create narratives without restricting their abilities to minute ice-casting as some sort of poor, shoddy voidal ice-evocation ripoff.

The frost-witches have attempted to rewrite their lore on (3) separate occasions or more, and each time, it has failed to pass and has been left subscribed as this very underplayed and damaged piece that does not fit current-day lore on the server. I believe that we should let current frost-witch players choose whether or not they wish to shelve their CA (by sleeping them) for the foreseeable future, to PK them, or to revert them back to their normal descendant left.

I do not propose a legacy-CA as the current lore is poorly written. I hope lore-team takes this into consideration. I also understand a lot of frost-witch players will see this and may not find this to be an acceptable end to their CA; there will be no unanimous agreement ever on this server, but I feel that this would be the best outcome at the moment.

With the nature of this lore-piece, it will still allow frost-witches to be written at a later date should story-team feel it is appropriate and well-met for them to be reintroduced as a playable CA. At the moment, we have had a lot of issues with frost-witches, primarily with the fact that many do not know what to do with their characters, feel that some mechanics are too much for them to handle, and that a lot of their power scaling is underplayed.

I do not agree or disagree with any of this, and am only looking to make this into world-lore. I understand there will be whiny comments below crying about their lore. I won’t be answering to any of them as I understand the frustration with your CA being forcefully ripped away from your hands. However, I only care for the greater narrative on this server, and I feel that the event-team would do a much better job at playing frost-witches than the current playerbase that uses them, and also feel that the event-team could do way more with them.

    [!]

Across the mortal continent, all those connected to the light of the Sunlit Lord came upon an odd premonition in their sleep.

The large mountainside, marred by flames and burned forestry, stood tall beyond the horizon. Canopies of trees are left without leaves; no birds flocked the skies, and no animal coasted the land.

It was night-time - the sky was without clouds, and showed the breadth of all stars in the vast cosmos. Sapphire streaks of light claimed the atmosphere; it was a ruthless display. The stars shivered; they burst into vast explosions of celestial light; yellows, crimson reds, blues and blacks, whites and golds.

As time continued to wade, something rose from the horizon. It was the sun, furiously blinding your sight. So teeming, powerful and radiant; it seemed enraged, displeased, but aware, and watching.

Once the sun rises over the horizon, and takes its place in the sky, the vision ends with those awakening. They felt this closeness, this sense of Order, and as if the world had been etched with an unfiltered, wrathful gaze.

    Spoiler

This is related to the current eventline.

Due to the nature of the prophecy, it is only available at this current time to those with an approved Paladinism MA (of any tier).

Of course, paladins are free to talk about this in roleplay with non-paladins.

    Many thanks.
