  2. A certain elf would be reading the rules of the Eternal Library in a rather quiet and serious manner. As he reached the ‘On Conduct’ section, he perked a brow to the third point, before starting to laugh aloud, though controllably and not loudly. ”Keep your mouth clean in the presence of knowledge.” he repeated to himself, still not done laughing. The elf then took his leave, still giving a giggle or two as he shook his head to what he had just read.
  3. Siol, also a bard by trade, gave a wide and wild grin to the song’s melody, which he’d not only heard before, but had also sang himself. His head bobbed into several nods, the smile hadn’t left his face as he kept singing the good old song inside his head.
  4. Siol perked a brow as he’d happen to come across the nice song. He perked a brow, a rare smile settling upon his face. The elf then gave a slight chuckle “Now that’s a good ballad” he said whilst nodding to himself.
  5. Thanks, just had to present it better ?
  6. I========== Order of the Orrir’Ulrall ==========I I. The Order The Orrir’Ulral is a guild dedicated to bettering the world we live in through eradicating all that is beastly in nature. Even as the descendant races fight and quarrel among each other, the lingering threat of malignant creatures does not discriminate between race, creed, nationality, ideology, etc. As such, the Orrir’Ulral knows no affiliation and bows to no masters, for we exist solely to rid the world of the beasts that plague it. Our ranks consist of a coalition of farmers, smiths, cooks, warriors, medics- anyone who is willing to support the unending cause of ridding the malformations that seek to prey on the innocent and claim our lands as theirs. II. Recruitment To begin with, the Order of Orir’Ulrall is, at the moment, opening up recruitment for new members who show interest. Everyone willing to directly or indirectly help in the growing war against the beasts that lurke the wilderness, roads, and as of recently even our homes, is encouraged to come forth and become recruits. Becoming a recruit, however, does not mean that you’re a member of the order just yet. Instead, you’ll have to go through our trial, and if you do succeed , you will be considered a Corvite, and be able to take on contracts. Even if one is unable to pass their first trials, if the guild deems them worthy enough, they’ll be offered training and discipline to undergo a second trial, similar to the first. Would it happen that the recruit again fails to pass the trial, they’re be sent back, or be found a different function to the guild by the higher ups. We’re trying to find strong and able warriors who can handle monsters, not people to send on contracts to meet their end. (Member of The Orrir’Ulrall during his contract on a Harpy) III. Code of Conduct This set of principles is designed to ensure that each member of the order is held to the highest of standards. Defiance against these regulations will be met with punishment. 1. A recruit may not begin completing contracts until all basic trials are deemed as complete by the standing Ducem Corvus, or Secundus. i. A recruit seen completing contracts prior to the basic completion of their trials will be subject to punishment and possible removal from the guild. 2. Once the necessary trials have been completed, a Corvite will be expected to don their uniforms if traveling from the stronghold with intent to complete contracts. i. If a corvite is seen pursuing contracts without donning their uniform, they will be subjected to a strike. 3. Corvites expected to keep their weapons in top condition, each individual sets an example for their peers. Thus a regular care routine is expected to be carried out upon their equipment at least once an elven week. i. Inspections will be carried out upon each person’s equipment, ranging from their uniform- to weapons and extra essentials. If a corvite fails an inspection, they will be met with a strike. 4. Being a Neutral Order, members of the Orir’Ulrall and the guild itself will not participate in matters, or take contracts that will push political conflict of any kind. Corvites will be expected to Inquire and Know exactly the consequences of their contracts, and revoke taking one if it leads to the conflicts mentioned above. i. If it’s ever heard that a Corvite has acted to push political conflict as work related to the Order, they will be subject to punishment and possible removal from the guild, depending on the consequences. 5. Our only aim is to slay monsters. Corvites will not be allowed to take on contracts that involve the murder, beating, or otherwise any physical contact to a Descentant. If a Covite is unsure if taking a contract will violate this rule, they have to consult with The Ducem Corvus or Secondus before proceeding. We are monster slayers, not thugs and assassins. i. If it’s learned that a Corvite has taken a contract on a Descendant as a contract or other work that relates the Order into it, they’ll be subject to punishments, ranging from a strike to a direct removal from the guild. 6. Corvites are expected to know their prey before engaging on a contract. It is encouraged and required that they do proper research on the beast, or beasts they are about to slay. Following this rule may very much be the difference between life and death. i. Members of the guild will not be directly punished for taking on a contract without researching what they’re facing. If it’s learned that a Corvite put themselves in danger and got hurt because of their laziness to research, they will not be provided medical care from the Guild, unless it is necessary. 7. Members of the guild will not be allowed to physically harm other members of the guild, unless the circumstances deem it necessary. i. Hurting and harming members of the Order without proper reason will result in a strike, depending on the situation, the punishment is likely to be even greater. IV. Structure Ducem Corvus- Being the top rank of the Order, Ducem Corvus refers to the heads of our Guild, and have absolte power in matters concerning the guild. As of now these are Vyasaldris (IGN: TheIchorDruid) and Vesryn (IGN: Aiduin) Secundus- As the name suggests, the Secundus is the second in command. Their role on the guild is very much similar to that of the Ducem Corvus, and their word is to be taken the same. Atop this, the Secundus is eligible to look after the recruitment process and offer contracts to Corvites. As of now the Secundus is Siol (IGN: Shlocc) Custos- Coming third in the ranks, the Custos’ role is to look over a portion of the trials, as well as have to some extent similar power to the Secundus. They look over the recruits and other Corvites. The Custos is eligible to offer contracts as well as train the Corvites. As of now the Custos is also Siol (IGN: Shlocc) Corvite- This is the common member of the guild. Corvites are the recruits who’ve successfully completed their trials and made it into the the ranks of the Orrir. These members are now able to wear the uniform of the guild and start finding contracts. Recruit- This is the lowest rank of the Order. Recruits are Descendants who’ve decided to try themselves and join the guild. Almost every member of the guild has been a Recruit at one point. during the period of being a recruit you’re given information about the guild and our work, and eventually will have to go through the trials in order to become a Corvite. (Orrir’Ulrall’s Master Libarian) Other Roles Other than the main ranks of our order, we also have the other, specific ranks. These consist of roles such as Blacksmiths, Librarians, Medics, etc. For a member to take on one of the roles, they have to at least be in the rank of the Corvite. If a teacher or master in a specific field is available, members may ask to be apprenticed on that particular skill. Blacksmith- As it can easily be guessed, the members of the Orrir’Ulrall who have understanding and skill on the art of smithing will be asked to take the role of the blacksmith. These members will be asked to forge weapons, armor, and anything else they can to aid the guild. The Order will be aiding these blacksmiths with the materials they need, and the blacksmiths will be allowed to use our forge for anything else they need to craft (long as it doesn’t threaten the guild). Medics- Medics will be the members of the guild who have at least some medical skills and knowledge. The Corvites (or Higher) taking this role will be asked to aid their fellow members when they need medical attention and care. Librarian- This role focuses on maintaining the guild’s library, and providing the rest of the Order with research material, books and other sorts of information, either concerning creatures, or other skills. (More Roles will be added Soon) (Fort Farrador) V. The Services of the Order Now that we’ve established what you will do for the guild, it’s time to explain what the Guild has to offer. Descendants who make Corvite or Higher will be given the following: - Contracts. Being its main objective, the Order of the Orrir’Ulrall is made to offer qualified people the ability to hunt monsters and other beastly creatures, and make a profit off it. By joining the guild, you’ll be given specific contracts that we will find and give you from around the continent. You’re free to keep the amount of money you’ve agreed on with the contractor, though 10% of the money will go for the Guild’s upkeep. - Training and lessons on monster slaying. The more time you spend with the guild, the more combat experience you’ll gain. - Apprenticeship. By being part of the Orrir’Ulrall, you’ll be asked to share you skills and knowledge of a specific subject with your fellow guild members, either be it Blacksmithing, Hunting, Medical Skills etc. On the other end, the rest of the guildsmen will be asked to do the same, and such growing each other stronger. - A place to rest your head; access to the Fortress of Farrador, the main location of the guild. Farrador is a fortress hidden somewhere in Arcas. The place will only be shown to those who have shown they can be trusted. Once someone becomes a Corvite, they’ll be given a room in Farrador, and will be able to access anything that comes with it, be it the smithy, the farmlands, clinic, etc. - Access to the Guild’s properties throughout Arcas. So far, Farrador is not the only place where our Order resides. We’ve also places and property we own and use in different places throughout the continent, the number of which keeps growing. Those who make Corvite will be given access to the places, and find themselves even more places to rest their head or find other guildsmen. - These and other privileges and Services will be offered to those who decide to join the Order. VI. Fort Farrador Residing somewhere along Arcas, the place that the Order calls home as of now, Fort Farrador, is a piece of peaceful and beautiful land. The fort itself, being surrounded by the rich and plenty of wildlife offers the members of the Order a prosperous game to hunt when we’re not hunting monsters. Using our bows, crossbows, or even daggers there appears to be more and more wild animals ready for the taking. Atop that, as it can be seen in the paintings, Fort Farrador is the birthplace of an exquisite and unique wine called ‘Maiden’s Blush’, made of the berries and grapes collected right outside the Fort; fermented and made by one of our very own members. For anyone who’s visited, the place always appears to offer a peaceful and cozy feeling, something one wouldn’t much expect monster slayers to live in. Much as it goes with the rules, the place is always clean and tidy, much like the warriors’ armor and weapons, with order and care being one of the guild’s characterizing features. (Fort Farrador) VII. Traditions ((This section of the post is very much still work in progress)) Music, Dances and Festives: Aside from the monster hunting business, the members of the Order tend to fill their day with things less gloomy and less dangerous. At times, would it happen that a good crowd from this Guild stood in a tavern all together, they tend to have their Bard and Second in Command, Siol, to play a nice tune or two with his instruments. When the Bard’s fingers run through the lute’s strings or blocked the holes of the flute, the rest of the party goes around, dancing in a circle, or arranged in different ways, joyous and festive dances. Drinks wouldn’t be rare either during such occasions, be it the tavern’s drink, the drink of Farrador itself, or the drink of the member’s home where the crew gathers. ((More to be added)) VIII. Applying In order to apply for becoming a Recruit for the Orrir’Ulrall, you have one of the following options, choosing either or both of them will suffice. 1. 8. Jack Was Never [[This is a transformative work of “Sera Was Never” from “Dragon Age: Inquisition”]] ((An RP version (written book) of the work can be possibly found in one of Helena’s bookstore, or contact me if you want it.)) (My lyrics don’t perfectly fit with the melody of the song so consider some vowel adjustments when reading it compared to the song) As he seats on the seat of his study, the mali’ame Siol’Avern looks around the room. His head wonders around his life for a moment as he takes up to himself some creative and musical inspiration. His thoughts go to his good friend Jack Reynold. Coming up with a nice and cheerful rythm not long ago, he decides to make a ballad on his friend’s tale; so he picks up a book from under his desks and begins his writing. Before writing the song he states scribes: ”The Ballad you are about to read tells the tale of my dear and good friend, Jack Reynolds; a man I, Siol the Bard, was almost asked to kill but assisted on keeping alive instead” After the author’s note the ballad continues with guiding musical notes atop the lyrics which depict how it is to be played and sounded. 10. “The Scholar Bard” Bookstore ((Quick Note: This thread will most likely be updated for different reasons, so if you are interested in keeping track follow it. Any likes on the post would be appriciated also ? )) On the posterboard of Helena would be seen a newly placed and fresh piece of poster. The poster was slightly long, and the material of the paper was clearly of high quality, perhaps due to the profession and skill the person who posted it had. At vertical ends the poster rolled into itself, much like a scroll, but the nails kept it nicely tied up to the board. Different paintings and pictures would be seen around the poster, accompanied by nicely written words of a pleasant, but understandable handwritting. On the left ,right and bottom sides of the main poster some smaller ones would be seen attached, each with different function and purposes, which would be explained in the main notice. “Good People of Helena! It has been nearly 4 months since the grand opening of my dear new bookstore in Oren, and above all else, I’d like to thank you all for not only participating on the opening, but also for frequenting my humble shop. At the end of this notice I shall put some of the paintings I was able to extract during the event, for your pleasure. Among with the grand opening, I’d like to simply brief you, good people, that the store has generally done very good, better than I expected even, and I am more than happy to see people come to me telling how much they appriciate it. Atop this, my book collection has started to grow so good that I’m starting to find difficulty to find enough space on the shelves and displays to cover them all. For this reason I’ve decided to share with anyone who this notice may concern a detailed inventory of all the product I hold and can sell; this inventory list shall be attached close to this notice on the board ((Spreadsheet attached at the end of the thread)). Along with the product lists which shall be updated frequently, I shall also attach another piece of paper where anyone who would like to request any books – be them or not on the store’s immediate displays – can fill the page and I shall deliver as fast as I can. The latter of the letters will not only be for book requests, but also a place where we could potentially negotiate for the price of the specific product, or products you are requesting, since I believe that everyone should get an opportunity to find knowledge. (This however does not mean I will be stupidly fooled to give free or otherwise highly cheapened books.) Lastly, along with the two previous attachments shall also come a third one, which will be dedicated to those authors or otherwise book owners who would be willing to sell me their books. The books that I am willing to buy should be direct duplicates of the original work ((Copies of Origial)), and I shan’t accept any indirect copies of the text ((Copies of Copies)). Moreover, as of now I will not be conducting any partnership with any author, or anything similar. Instead, if there is to be such a transaction, it will be direct and simple, I will give you money for the book or books, if I find them worth buying, and after this I shall hold full ownership, but not credit, for the book, so that I may copy and retail it as I please. This will be done to prevent any complications or else problems which I’d rather avoid. Other than this, good people of Helena, as well as any travelers who see this notice, “The Scholar Bard” and its humble owner are both eagerly awaiting and welcoming anyone entering the shop with good intentions. Thank you once again for your participation and time, Your’s Truly Siol’Avern (the Bard) [IGN: Shlocc Discord: Shlocc#3284] The rest of the above-mentioned attachments would be seen below, neatly nailed to the main notice, being made of the same high-quality material and nicely written ink. 12. “The Scholar Bard” Bookstore A poster would be seen hung up on the Helenian notice board. The paper was rather long, and different images, sketches and art would bee seen throughout, accompanied by pleasantly handwritten words. “Greetings, Good People of Helena! On this day I find myself very glad and happy to announce the openning of what appears, as of now, to be the only shop in Helena to fully dedicate itself on the trading of books, papers, and any other variations of text. Since my youth days I’ve had a passion for books, something that came along and complimented my passion for music. For this reason I, Siol the Bard, shall call this shop of mine “The Scholar Bard”. After much work has gone into the shop, it has been decided that on The Last Seed of 1957, The Scholar Bard will hopefully see its first share of customers, scholars, and perhaps even bards. The books that will be displayed will not be the only ones that the shop will sell, and I’d like to use this gathering as an opportunity to find any writer, or otherwise merchant, who would be interested in supplying the shop. As of now, any and every type of well written and quality books are to be bought from purshased by the shop. Details aside, however, I am hoping to see as many people as my humble store can hold. Drinks shall be given to the visitors, music will be played live by yours truly, and books will be displayed for purchasing. “The Scholar Bard” can be found in Nauzika Square 4, just at the start of the bridge that leads to the Novellen Palace. As the title suggests I took inspiration from the Witcher games, the 3rd one specifically. So any fellow fan should appriciate it. If anyone anyone needs the second skin I’d possibly be willing to sell it. For that just contact me. Other than that: enjoy ?
