Alice shuddered at the mere thought of premarital affairs, eyeing the mention of a lack of chaperone, as well as speculations with her Baruch friend. Truly, a foreign unease settled in her mind as she read over the people's anticipations between Jon and her — ensuing a faint tremor from her bottom lip. The young princess paced from a drawing room, in search for her knightly mother. One would note her look of displeasure if she were to pass a palace courier. They are not aware of anything, she reassured herself. ____________________________ Meanwhile, a Rhenyar painter snickered at the likeness of her cousin's daughter and her suitor — a coy grin playing at her lips.
-
From Alice's chambers, the unfettered light illuminated from the scorched cathedral. It grew lifeless, the pristine building now merely charred. A foul sight for the girl, she could only watch in horror as she prayed for the safety of the clergy.
-
Practically snatching the exposé off of a stout man, the young princess narrowed her eyes as she read over the piece. Seeing herself be highlighted, a steady frown formed itself from Alice's features. A scoff rolled from her tongue, for she was not a lady fond of deception nor hesitant boys!

AN IMPETUOUS VISIT ____________________________ ♆ A likeness of Viktor var Ruthern by the Madame Clementine. [Art by me!] ____________________________ A palm grasped at her back, pushing at her before ushering her away to the side. A bemused look set across the young Kaphro’s face, terror glinting in her eyes. The stranger spoke, “Apologies, lady - I am in dire need of help and you were the first of the female specimen I noted.” Her brows pinched at his words. Perplexed, the young maiden’s stutters rolled out, “W-What do you need...need assistance with?” “What is your name?” He inquired, and so she introduced herself through a timorous voice, quiet and delicate. “Most excellent, Victoria,” he had huffed along and introduced himself as well — “I am Viktor var Ruthern, and I need a wife.” _________________________________________________________________________ A quaint boutique loomed, its inhabitants bustling within. The Madame Clementine sat in front of a broad, headless mannequin. It bore a crisp, new suit — dyed to a uniformed shade of dark grey, and lined with lush fur to show one's opulence. A placid smile sat on her lips, admiring her work. Magnificent, she thought, a finger tracing the cold, unused cloth. Perfect for a lordling such as he. How long has it been since I’ve last seen you, dear friend? How long? She wonders in her lonesome. Arising from her stool, she inclined her head towards the window stream’s light. The new-gold flowed everso warm, bidding for her. Tidying her workspace, Victoria went offward to her friend, unbeknownst of his death. _________________________________________________________________________
-
The Madame Clementine grinned toothily amongst the other ladies of The Seamstress, the store bustling about as they all prepared for the future exhibition.

To her pleasant surprise, Alice was given a slew of fur by the Savoyard with an ardent grin. With haste, she clapped for a servant to forward an arrangement for the masquerade. @amyselia

Alice's eyes widened, the child practically thrusting the missive to a certain Illatian. "It all makes sense now, Garci— Uh, Gracia," she marvels, recalling the raid. @Monaaa

how'd you find out about lotc

1. How long have you been playing your character, and how have they changed and developed RPly? Around September of 2020 (or at least that's how far back I remember) 2. What are some small nuances or details in your character that might not be so obvious to other players upon interaction? For example, I often use the hand movements of my snow elf to express certain metaphors or his state of mind. Her thing is speaking eccentrically and jovially, like an aunt who's always there to encourage the things you shouldn't be doing (so long as its 4 science !!) : -) 3. Does / Did your character have a strong bond with another character that you found to be memorable based on what it was founded on? (Characters who had a brotherly relationship, romantic, rivalry, etc.) I had a cute dynamic with Ark, who played my father, and what motivated me to play the character from the beginning. Most of the memories I remember with him was the cute encouragement he'd give her since she used to be a very timid person, as well as the fun little adventures he'd take me to do science experiments. Kujo, Mona, and Goon have also given me memorable memories from the interactions and relationships we've made along the way. 4. What's the most badass thing your character has ever done? poopie im still playin the character, so im not sure yet 5. Character Art? https://imgur.com/a/pdvaTRy 6. Anything else you'd like to talk about regarding your character? shy girl evolves to peculiar traveling alchemist !!!

A Rhenyar reminisces of an old friend. [reserved]
-
Victoria, inclining her head to view the Rhenyari section, feeling her brows pinching down. "My," she began, a scoff emitting from her, "I do wonder what is exotic about us, cousin. We are more Orenian, by blood, than the northern raves!" @Axelu

Lady Rhea of Carrington by Victoria Kaphro c. 1825 · ꕥ · HER EUNOIA. By mid-spring, the field was a palette of greens, one that could impress any master of old. A lonesome figure wandered the bounty of clover and sun-strengthened grass — a pungent scent of faint ichor exuding from her. The bustling of children had broken her trance, greeting them with a bellowing voice. Trailing along with the eldest lady of the Carrington household, Victoria regarded Rhea with a faint smile before vanishing into the courtyard. “I was advised by your dear sister to speak with you instead of your mother, due to her absence,” Victoria tells Mary, settling herself at a table with the woman. “I believe you two are a perfect match — perhaps teach her to read,” the d’Arkent’s smile dwindled some, “She is a charming girl, and I do love her...though she’s not the brightest.” With a tilt of her head, the corner of Victoria’s lip twitched somewhat. A concerned look was brought upon her face. “No...I believe she has potential.” The Kaphro had arose from her seat, drawling, “Rhea simply lacks support.” “I agree. I believe mother fell behind once giving birth to her. You can tell due to the intelligence diminishing with the younger lot of my siblings — no matter the potential.” To such, Victoria remained indifferent. She simply droned to Mary’s words, scrutinizing Rhea’s sister for a moment before wishing to be led elsewhere. That jovial morn, the small child had become her ward. ____________________________ 𑁍 Attending Rhea’s woeful service, Victoria sat quietly on the frontmost pew. Giving her own eulogy, she admitted her regret and sorrow towards the young woman. To find out such a tragedy was caused through a barbaric act filled her with a foreign resentment. Rhea had, despite her inability to read at the age they met, sparked an intrigue. Victoria had seen something within the girl that she herself had not seen — an untapped potential; a possibility. She was a promise of seeing beyond the seeming. The next quiet forenoon consisted of the faint breeze, the birdsong coming so bittersweetly. Victoria mulled over how the girl would’ve enjoyed such a fine day, basking in the sun’s golden rays. Forlorn, the lady stood before her apprentice’s grave. A finger trailed against the recent etching of the headstone. “How I wish,” the Rhenyar mused solemnly, grasping delicately at a glass figurine, “I could see your smile once more, chera.” Her figure lowered, giving the trinket a brief shake. It propped beside Rhea — a mare galloping in its equine beauty whilst it shone a golden light.
