The First Act of a Young Count On the 12th of the Tobias’ Bounty, Sigmar awoke to a crisp cool wind in his bedroom in Ayr. He walked out onto his balcony not realizing this would be a day he would never forget. He finished his studies with his Grandfather Marius, and went to his father’s old study where he sat reading the days missives. He came across many in which he didn’t understand, until his Grandfather explained it to him. the Declaration of Northern Sovereignty and Independence gladdened him, but soon his happiness was crushed as he learned that the war for a free Northern Kingdom against the Fake Empire of Murderers, cutthroats, thieves, bandits, tyrants, and traitors Known as Renatus, was still going on. After hearing the news he was reminded once more of traitors, such as his father who was executed, and his Mother who ran away to the cutthroat nation of Renatus. He thought again on why, why she left her children behind, Sigmar’s brother and sister. Her cousins and eldest brothers. She even betrayed Sigmar’s grandfather Marius who welcomed her into his family with open arms. This question rattled around Sigmar’s head for hours, he was frustrated, angry, and confused not knowing the answer. He soon fixated on something his grandfather said. Something about titles. He soon realized exactly why his mother left, She was afraid. She was Afraid and unfaithful. She did not believe in the Crown, she did not believe in the army, and most importantly she did not believe in her family. So, in a move for power, she abandoned her children and her family for their titles. She thought that if she switched, if Haense was lost, she would become the new Countess of Ayr. She wanted the power, and soon after looking at her other letter in which she stated that she accepted her treacherous brother’s olive branch, she still called herself the Countess of Ayr and the Regent. Sigmar knew at that moment he was right, and knew he must do something about it. So he went for counseling to his uncles and grandfather. His Uncle Duncan reprimanded him for saying such foolish things, and promised him that his mother did it out of love and that she thought she was doing the right thing, but this answer did not satisfy him. it was too unrealistic, too fairytale. So he then went to his grandfather, Marius, whom told him that she was just a misguided sheep, that she lost her way because of fear and that she still loved them, he told Sigmar he was too young to understand. This angered him, he saw all their answers now as veils of deceit and lies. Lies because to them, he was merely a child, too immature to understand. He wanted to show everyone he could be the Count. So, he was determined to do what he thought was best for his family, for Ayr. He waited until most of them men were asleep in Saint’s Rest, till Grandfather went to his room, and until Uncle Duncan headed back to Reza. He awoke his big sister and a guard to come with him to the feast hall, where he would set the trap for his greedy treacherous mother. He then sent a letter to his mother, asking her to come back, and that he missed her. A trap like this set on truths that were deep in his heart hurt Sigmar, and he half wished that she would not show. They waited about an hour, then they heard footsteps and as he looked out the window he saw her. He soon regretted his decision, his hands began to tremble and his face became red. he had gone too far, he wasn’t ready for this. thoughts raced through his mind until he remembered something Grandfather had said to him once both his parents left him, “It is your duty as the heir of House Baruch to be a leader. You are a Count, be the Count you were destined to be. Do what is right and just for this County, this family, and this kingdom.” These words stuck with him and he knew what he must do. She was his mother, but she was also a traitor, and a traitors fate is death. So he did what he had to do. As she walked in they talked, she tried to explain to him why she did it, but he did not care why anymore, his mind was made up. this was something he must do, He must prove himself a just Count, he must kill the traitor no matter who it was to him. He tried and sentenced Lilliana for treason. It hurt him to do such, soon his hands began to tremble once more and he began to cry. Before the execution, he and his sister hugged their mother one last time, as a symbol of putting what was about to happen behind them. Sigmar loved his mother, but his duty comes before love. He then took out his sword, Darkheart, the sword his sister had made for him, and he stuck it through her stomach holding her in his arms as she faded away. She accepted her fate as the strong woman she was, her head held high. Sigmar decided to make this as a statement to all traitors. He sent her body back to his treacherous uncle with a letter. a letter promising to do the same to a traitor like him. He signed it Sigmar Joren Baruch, Count of Ayr, Slayer of Traitors.

Duncan Looks to his family as they sit around a table tending their wounds and talking about their endeavors. he chuckles, “Now that’s a fookin king I’d die for, one worthy our loyalty just like his father!”
-
Ahh they got us we should run!??!! Oh...wait..it’s just renatians...and terrible sky gods who can’t make a good field to fight on...” Gilbert chucks quickly unpacking his case to go back to sleep.
-
“we shall see piss bucket.” Duncan would say proudly sipping his ale looking off the wall.
-
you can try a dumb goat humper, but you’ll never be able to.” Duncan chuckles at the little babies threats

“Nay it is not, try and see what happens you harlot. you don’t know the people of haense so don’t act like you do you rat!” “You don’t know the people of Haense you rat! Haense will never bow not a single one to another cuck of an empire especially not Godfreys.” Duncan chuckles sipping his ale “is that all the ammunition you weasels have!?”

“of course it isn't you dirty rat, the the people of haense have a bond to their king and to their community. the real northmen would never follow the pertinaxi cucks and the renatians cess pit of rats and plague.”

A Proclamation of Northern Sovereignty, 1719
Drew2_dude replied to Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska's topic in Arcas Human RP Archive
I can’t say I agree with the decision in the first place to join that empire, but we for damn sure won’t join the other cucks. Never ever again. Haense is more than a city. Try to break the bond if northemen as the courlanders tried and it will come back to bite you.” Duncan chuckles sipping his ale unworried of the spooky ooc flays come after him. -
“Come find me ***** no I’ll never serve under the renatian *****!!” Duncan would chuckle at their measly attempt to frighten haense. “Haense is not the town, it is the people, the people that will never serve the renatian cucks again or your fake replacement king l!!!”

Duncan and Sigmar look over the contract happily. -
Chuckles at the mention of an ancestral sword which did not exist, but was just named that by rodrik

A man chuckles at their ignorance. “Come do something about it then pertinaxi pretenders.”
-
“none of us will rest in victory or in loss, renatians will never have my loyalty. I’ll fight till I grow old and die, they steal my family so I believe it’s time to steal theirs.” He rises from the table grabbing his sword.
-
Duncan takes the page still red with rage over his families betrayal and throws it into the fire, walking back into his room.

Duncan awakes from his sleep still weary and tired from his recent stress. He walks down from his room to be greeted with news he would never soon forget. In bewilderment he runs out of his manor rushing to Ayr to see if it’s true. As he arrives, climbing the stairs to his sisters room, he opens the door to find...nothing. Duncan falls to his knees, tears filling his eyes and he musters together only this. “Oh, My sweet Lilly, why...” He sits in the floor for hours, before rising to the desk his friend Jan once sat at, and begins to write a letter to his Sister. To my sweet Lilly, I’ve Sat here since dawn wondering what I might say...But I’ve been lost for words. This Betrayal has left me beaten, confused, Lost, and most of all Broken. Not even a month ago we had a conversation about the recent treachery of your Husband and our brother, you were resilient, fierce, and strong deciding to stand with your family against the traitors. What changed? You follow in their footsteps leaving your family behind, abandoning your sons and daughter, abandoning your brother and cousins, for what!? to join an Empire of pretenders who lets their own streets run red with the blood of innocent men, women, and children who speak out against their atrocities. I’ve sat here countless hours wondering what pushed you and Rodrik to this. Why? Why have you thrown away all in which you have helped build? Why would you abandon you family, your children? You started a new life in Haense! and now you wish to see it destroyed! thrown away! I’ve found my answer. It washed over me like a cloud of dread. The answer, I always had, but locked it away in the furthest corner of my mind. It haunted me to think such a thing of either of you, it’ s something we all promised we wouldn't become, but as I followed the rabbit trail of treason, treachery, and betrayal, I’ve seen no other possible choice. You two were never Kortrevich’s. Your Blackwood's, you two are your Father’s son and daughter. You followed in his exact footsteps. abandoning your family, caring only for yourself, and whoring out your loyalty like a wench in a brothel. You cared not for your family, your children, only yourself. You left it all behind, in fear and cowardice to join a cutthroats' cause. You let your on well being and selfishness cloud your minds. You let it define you! and because of that, you’ve pushed me to this....I have no sister, nor brother. A Kortrevich stands beside their cause and family, They do not run. Until the error of your ways are seen Lilly, you have no family besides that monster you’ve joined. Signed, Duncan Kortrevich of House Kortrevich

Duncan sits down after reading the letter he received, picking up his quill as he begins to write. To The Traitor whom calls himself Kortrevich, I know not who you are, only who you claim to be. You say, you are Rodrik Kortrevich, but that is impossible, He died the day he walked out the Reza gates and betrayed his family and his dearest friends for the Renatian mongrels. “The Loyal” they called him, but he was only loyal to himself. He put us all through pain and sadness, me most of all. The boy I raised, Is Dead. So I ask you, who are You to claim to be him. Your a monster with no family, known for his spilling of blood, no Rodrik I ever knew did that. The Rodrik I knew, would die for his family, and for his greatest friend, King Marius. You are not who you claim to be, you hold no right to the Kortrevich name or to the Barony of Koravia. This part of my letter addresses your plea. Your plea for us to join the Renatians who we so Fervently Hate, and continue to resist. If you were my brother Rodrik, you would know that I hold no love in my heart for Renatus, only deep seeded hatred. After the Burning of Ves, I told Rodrik that I wouldn’t serve an Empire that would slaughter innocent women and children for their own amusement, which they did with smiles on their faces. I stand with Haense, and The Crowned Emperor Joseph, first of his name. The Kortrevich family owes a debt to Haense, which can only be repaid with our own life. We stand rooted in our Faith in GOD, and our King. And If the day comes, for which I must die serving Haense, and fighting the Despicable Renatian pretenders, then so be it. At least I’ll die loyal to my cause, unlike my youngest brother. Lastly, I address your admitted kidnapping of my sweet nephews and niece. We will get them back. The pain you’ve put Sarah and all of us through, will not go unpunished. Save your olive branch and offer of peace for someone who gives a damn. you’ll pay traitor, with your own life, you’ll pay. Signed Duncan Kortrevich Of House Kortrevich.

“hm, let us see what happens on a battlefield then...the place from which they refused to fight...” Gilbert would say as he sharpens his pitchfork as he prepares himself to storm whats left of this ‘city’ of renatus to kill the pretender child

a man sits wondering when the parliament of the fake empire has ever done anything except play into the hands of what the emperor wants and not its people, and when its ever passed anything useful or otherwise...
