The Valorous Griffin guild An organization that came out of its founder's deep sense of justice and independence. Leonardo Mallory Faervel Griffin founded the guild. All so members could do good in the world in the ways only they could. instead of helping create, protect, or build an organization for someone else? He had come To be the founder of his own. A decision not made lightly in the slightest and one that did not change his ideals. To help those in need, protect those who need protection, Pursue knowledge, feed his creativity and to take care of his fellow guild members. all things he will encourage each member to strive for. The Griffin guild's oaths are ones Leonardo brought over from another guild. Ones he helped write himself and ones he adds to as necessary. His goals are lofty but attainable. The Griffin guild is to have 4 branches. One for each cardinal direction. They will also have a naval ship And in the future most possibly a fleet. The Valourous Griffins will take to the water protecting Aevos seas. Each member will be trained in naval and or non naval combat but that is not the only option to help. The guild has different crafts available, and divisions all its own. Such as woodwork and crafts, trade in weapons, alcohol and jewelry, a smithy shop, as well as the pursuit of magical, alchemical, or medical knowledge. finally don’t forget the care for the cities where guild branches base themselves. There is truly no task too small for every action and skill counts. People of all backgrounds are welcome to join. Everyone does their part to support the guild. Members will have access to knowledge, opportunities, and training they could not receive alone. They will be provided shelter in the guild halls, materials for their crafts, herbs if needed, and a forge for the smiths. The guilds combat-focused divisions will have chances to go on many missions. Be it fighting monsters, thieves, or crooks. To raiders, Dark Cults, And large-scale disruptors of peace. There will be Chances for competitions and activities will be plentiful as the Griffin guild has its own celebrations. The Kraken's Festival For many years upon the arrival of Aevos, the eastern sea has been kind to the denizens of the Unified Domain of Vortice. Not just by having wondrous sights, but also by offering a plethora of unique fish and corals within its waters. As such, the council of Vortice would like to extend a hand to the realms of Aevos for a celebration of the bounties found within the sea in our Kraken’s Festival of the Eastern Sea and also invite those in attendance to join in on some festive events for a potential prize. The events for the festival will be listed below for those interested in taking part. [Art by arvalis] The Lucky Fisherman! Contestants shall have fifteen ashen minutes to collect as many fish as possible, with rarer fish equaling more points. Fishermen are allowed to bring in their own skinning knives and fishing rods- HOWEVER, fishermen bags will not be permitted to avoid the potential for cheating. Whoever earns the most points by the end of the time frame will walk home with a prize of 250 mina and the temporary title of “Vortice’s Luckiest Fisherman!” Should the winner wish to keep their title, they will have to compete the next time this is held. [Art by loafers777] Lighthouse Race: Participants for the race shall find themselves racing around Vortice’s lighthouse through a series of laps to see whose sailing skills are superior. Sabotage is allowed and encouraged, with the allowance of tipping another’s boat in order to get ahead. The goal is to finish the laps in first place, and whoever reaches that goal will receive a prize of 50 mina, as well as the temporary title of “The Sea Snake.” Should the winner wish to keep their title, they will have to compete the next time this is held. A faint salty aroma comes from these water-stainded pages Diary of Fagh 10th of The Amber Cold, SA 162 The stale and damp air ot the mines was starting to get to my head, and was making my thoughts more foggy, but not in a fun way like when smoking a good Jungle Kush. I didn't want to give up on helping the horde, but I also didn't want to die suffocated in the mines. So I went fishing. The desert is not known for their great sources of water, and even less for his waterborne creatures, so I started travelling south along the coast, and found a quiet spot to fish, not much visited and not so hot as the heart of the desert, mostly thank to the sea breeze, praise Ankrus. When I was a little cub, I had to fend for myself and hunted fish only on shallow rivers and with my bare hands, but now that I got a new family at Orcgrimmar, I could finally afford a proper fishing gear, with a net, a pole and a bag for my findings. The change of air was really doing wonders, and even though my findings consisted mostly of lost peglegs, rugged flags and other junk, I managed to find some good fishes and have a nice change of pace. I even managed to find a beautiful round pearl!: it was as smooth as an olog brain and had a emerald hue. I was so exited that I showed It to Grommash, our great Rex: he seemed to have liked it, so I wanted to give it to him, but he gave me an even better idea! I'll soon go to our weponsmiths and ask them to make a fine pece of jewelery with it. But in the meanwhile, we grind and we fish!
