Please don't godmode capitals without GM/Admin leaders behind them. Or better yet, don't godmode them at all.

I don't want to see basically what Oren is right now, a "nation" with no formal army and a 90% crime rate, protected from any attack from Malinor (Has an army and very little crime), or almighty Urguan (which has a huge army with a fleet of ships and a platoon of siege weapons), just because it would "threaten the centralization of RP", because that translates to: "It threatens the orenian nobility's titles and right to rule 100 players".

Malinor was protected from attacks from Oren TONS of time in the past. Just because the GMs have decided to return the favour after banning half our leaders doesn't mean they're treating us specially. And you guys still raid us everyday and you still mostly raid when the guards(mostly GMT) are in bed.

I like most of this, although I can hardly understand why you work so hard to avoid fast travel. Fast travel is not a bad thing really from my POV, and it hasn't damaged my personal experience, and if people want to go on the road for sight seeing, it is optional when fast travel is around, rather than forcing them into one option. When players are forced to walk down roads, their only goal is to get from point A to point B, this makes them in a hurry, and less interested in road RP. Players like to RP in general areas (Cities, towns, interest points), and on the road, there is hardly any reason to RP, if there were many, then we would see this all the time, but we do not. We see it every now and then. But at least you said that it would be short distance, so I guess that will be good. So long as we don't have to walk for what feels like 15 mins - 30 mins like we do now. If anything, I have engaged in Roleplay faster with fast travel, than without, because I spend more time walking than I do RPing, and that is IF I find RP when I get to the place I want to go. Sometimes no one is even in the location, so I have to walk all the way back with no choice.

Keeping fast travel out of the server forces players to go to one location and stay there, punishing people who want to RP in multiple areas (which I like doing)

Well now it does, but in 4.0 it'll literally take 5 minutes at most to travel between nations and the temple. There is no reason to have fast travel in 4.0 and it will just ruin road RP.

Maybe you are right. I like the RP being mostly in one area. That is what Asulon, and Aegis did. Perhaps I am just worrying too much. I just would like to see a dash of spread out RP as well. Not too much (Like right now) but just a little

Well even if one city doesn't become a hub(which would be very strange for LOTC) it'd just take a couple minutes to walk to another. And since everyone will be walking down the one road for miles and only taking small turn offs eventually, there will definitely be some road RP.

How are territories defined in this?

This seems extremely complicated with how humanity especially is organized, although I think Adunians may encounter a similar issue (though I'm not familiar enough with their politics to comment).

Is a territory a barony? A county? A duchy? A kingdom? A hillside?

Geographical or legal? Whose laws? What level of feudal control?

It seems as if there are some minor questions that need clearing up.

\/\/\/\

Side note: MCMMO is complete ****. Please no. That's ruined so many servers. I don't want LotC to become another OOC grind-fest.

It's a castle or a settlement, but where each territory is is drawn up at the beginning of the war.

I think it would be an interesting idea to test not using soulstones in 4.0. I mean if everything is so close you can easily walk from place to place, and might encounter RP along the way. How is a roadside bandit supposed to rob anyone if everyone soulstones.

Also if you make the wilds very dangerous in the deep areas, soulstoning from there seems a bit lore breaking. Who knows what you would have encountered on your journey back had you actually walked.

LoTC was at its best when it was a game, not forum roleplay taking place on a Minecraft server.

I want to play Minecraft as a dwarf. I want to run an inn. I want to grind my mining skill to make some money in hopes of buying a huge house in a capital city. I want a roadside shop where I sell my monster-hunting and mining loot. I want to say hail to everyone I see. I want the game back.

For the record, if McMMO or Vaq's skill plugin are put onto the server again, I'm out.

Why so against McMMO?

I can understand being wary of a Vaq-esque plugin since you couldn't do jack with it, but McMMO? No limits, just benefits?

Grinding is my archnemesis.

 : ^) Ah, optional grinding~

But that's why I like McMMO I think. It only provides benefits. I mean, if you're a miner, you mine a lot. So why not get a few benefits for doing what... you do all the time... ? IDK.

Errrr.. Did everyone suddenly forget that Mcmmo used to be used on this server? No.. no one? Vaq's plugin was basically a stranger version of Mcmmo that restricted you. Not to be a jerk or anything but aren't most of us complaining about getting a plugin like that back? Nice post anyhow, happy to see a more fun and light hearted Lotc returning.
