Errrr.. Did everyone suddenly forget that Mcmmo used to be used on this server? No.. no one? Vaq's plugin was basically a stranger version of Mcmmo that restricted you. Not to be a jerk or anything but aren't most of us complaining about getting a plugin like that back? Nice post anyhow, happy to see a more fun and light hearted Lotc returning.

Our community has changed since then. McMMO was here about two years ago. That's lifetimes ago, to a MC server anyways.

I don't think we should have something close to mcmmo but possibly something extremely modified like as telanir said in the podcast a while back. I want to be able to be train not just from grinding but rather for example as a swords ability. I could go somewhere, find a dummy and train with the dummy or someone else. Of course I would want to train wit mobs but perhaps making it that they don't give the most amount of xp and it take a lot longer fighting them than anything else. This way we can have more rp rather than simply fighting mobs to grind. Next possibly being able to have a teacher plugin that coincides with the skill plugin, in which after you have mastered a skill you are able to train others in it and the xp they get from it increases more than any other thing. Then with that I would also want to see the thing they discussed in which you can raise your level in the skills but then overtime you can get more and more skill points where you can buy new skills and upgrade new skills with it. Similar to elderscrolls. Lastly, they never spoke about the various armors and weapons we will have. Will we see separate skills for them? No skills at all? Or would they work out with the base skills for the regular weapons.

Territories are settlements, farms, mills, etc. Actual buildings / settlements -- not defined land areas. It says that, does it not?

McMMO does the job fine if configured correctly: making it not required to be able to play, and there if you want it, is what we're doing with it if we choose to use it.

Ohgod... the second paragraph so closely matches that of the owner's (of the last RP server I was on) second last post before that server went to hell.

Anyway, I trust you guys to do the right thing. Don't dissapoint please...

Firstly, I'd just like to say that Vaq's old plugin and mcMMO used to be absolute garbage. Vaq's plugin was still fun, but it was a shitty little plugin. I liked it but it sucked.

Go read that and tell me that doesn't sound awesome.

Gimme gimme.

But that's why I like McMMO I think. It only provides benefits. I mean, if you're a miner, you mine a lot. So why not get a few benefits for doing what... you do all the time... ? IDK.

^^ This.

Vaq's program restricted you and made it so you couldn't make certain items/equipment (think Runescape, can't forge an iron sword until level 30 or summat). This plugin will allow you to craft anything, but you get BONUSES for doing your profession more.

Are we gonna have a look at what skills there will be? I think the playerbase would like to see what they are getting.

The previous incarnations of McMMO and Vaq's plugin was based mainly in the red area, whereas if the plugins are re-implemented, it will be in the green area. (Those are not the confirmed bonuses, but you get the idea)

I've got to agree. McMMO mcMMO wouldn't be like grind to win. If you commonly do something in game; you'll automatically get benefits for it. NO one has to grind. Just do what you normally do and you'll get certain things. This also creates a feeling of economy.  Need some ore? Charter someone with a Mining skill of 631 or whatever to mine Ore and give you 3/5 of what they get. Need trees cut down? Get someone with very good wood chopping skill and have him chop all the wood down faster. Need some mercenaries if you're transporting important goods through the Orcish Badlands? Hire a group of people with high RP and mcMMO sword ability so if it comes to pvp they'll be a lot better at it. You get the point. This isn't a plugin where you have to grind to get stuff. This is a plugin that gives you more for just doing what you normally do.

As a tomb in the Graveyard of old lifts and falls free with an exaggerated creak that deafened the whole chamber, a corpse of slightly rotted bones would slowly rise. His jaw snapping open with a sickening "crack!" while it heard the new promises of the 4.0 update it's body lifted into a sitting position. Upon hearing the thread, in its entirety, a sort of cracking started to silently emit from the entity. This Cracking, resembling wind ripping through a bone strewn wasteland that literally grew more barren month after month, got louder until it could be distinguished as laughter. But, this laughter wasn't joyful, it was full of sorrow as drops of a gooey and bloody sludge poured out of the creatures eyeless sockets, as if it were trying to cry. This laughter continued as the Skills Section rang through its head over and over again, which only caused the mournful mirth to grow into a symphony of wails that sounded as if all around.

This awful den continued for minutes without the Skeleton seeming to breathe or ever show any sign of stopping. It did, however, finally ebb away as this shell of an Rp Man just stared at the wall, breathing raggedly as if trying to find some purpose in it. With one more sob, the former body that housed the very spirit, commitment, and soul that was GreenKoopaBros collapsed in a heap back into the tomb. With the sudden impact, his body (Or what was left of it) deteriorated into dust, having finally given up waiting for any ray of hope that the horizon of Skills ever had a chance to Broaden.

Skill plugin? Meh. I really couldn't care how it goes. However, I give a hearty round of applause on the war rules. That seems like a brilliant way to go about everything!

So, going forward, let's keep our heads up and have fun~. These are all things to look forward to.

Why are 1a & 2a needed for /each and every member/ of the party? Why can't normal soldiers commanded by their superiors join in, without being psycopathic murderers and evil assassin edgies, during dangerous times of war? This should only apply to the one in charge , otherwise, it's going to be yet another annoying OOC barrier. I'm not going to write up a silly VA in order to join in on a strategic attack on a nation which seeks to destroy my homeland.
