Danny 2232 Author Share Posted November 1, 2013 Invasions - What are the limitations, in terms of land taking? Is all land open to invasion, or are capitals safe? Capitals should really be considered safe, in most cases. With 4.0 my bets are that we'll have the nation capitals safe -- right now, there's no real verdict on that. Old-Rattlesnake 1534 Share Posted November 1, 2013 Firstly: skills plugin. What we’re doing is returning back to what we’ve termed a ‘Vaquxine-esque’ plugin with a /skills command, assignment of skills when you first start playing and levels that go up as you build, mine, craft, etc, etc. It’s unclear whether we’ll include combat skills in this or not just now, however, I can say that it won’t actually restrict you from doing anything. It’s a plugin that will give benefits for higher skill levels, not restrictions

Exactly the plugin that we’ll go for: whether it be custom or pre-made, e.g. McMMO hasn’t been fully decided either yet, but regardless, it’ll follow the kind of idea listed above.

I thought a super amazing roleplay friendly plugin was being implemented by Telanir that worked with professions... Why are we going back to this? Aetosion 2062 Share Posted November 1, 2013 How are territories defined in this? This seems extremely complicated with how humanity especially is organized, although I think Adunians may encounter a similar issue (though I'm not familiar enough with their politics to comment). Is a territory a barony? A county? A duchy? A kingdom? A hillside? Geographical or legal? Whose laws? What level of feudal control? It seems as if there are some minor questions that need clearing up. \/\/\/\ Side note: MCMMO is complete ****. Please no. That's ruined so many servers. I don't want LotC to become another OOC grind-fest.
Jistuma 1996 Share Posted November 1, 2013 I thought a super amazing roleplay friendly plugin was being implemented by Telanir that worked with professions... Why are we going back to this? Because Telanir made it extremely hard to code, and probably gave up on it months ago.

I don't want LotC to become another OOC grind-fest. Territories are settlements, farms, mills, etc. Actual buildings / settlements -- not defined land areas. It says that, does it not? McMMO does the job fine if configured correctly: making it not required to be able to play, and there if you want it, is what we're doing with it if we choose to use it. McMMO makes it so that the person who spends all day grinding is the best. While in reality that makes sense, in an RP server we want people to RP most of the time. Helvetius 314 Share Posted November 1, 2013 How does invasion work after the first territory is claimed? Do you have to wait a week, month, or what? Also why do you need 1a for raiding, thats stupid! The minimal needs to be just murder...
Dreek 1633 Share Posted November 1, 2013 A question regarding raids. It says no modreqs, am I allowed to modreq for a lock picking during a raid? (As long as I have the va)

The Great Mongol Khan 1110 Share Posted November 1, 2013 If you bring back the restrictions of the skills plugin you might as well just give up on the server.
