A Letter To The Black Scourge

Throughout Malinor chaos has been running rampant, all Elves have been abandoning the city due to rumors that the Black Scourge as taken over. Well, almost all, as a letter addressed to the Black Scourge is found near the front gate, pinned to the ground by an arrow.

 

"Dearest members of the Black Scourge,

 

I will not be leaving my home. I built this home and just finished refurbishing it for my wife, who has just recently returned. Try to enter my home, and you will be shot. Break your way in, and you will be shot. Continue through my home, and you will be burnt to a crisp. You have pissed off one very old man. I suggest you mind your own business and leave Malinor.

 

If you'd like to discuss matters over tea and cookies, however, that's fine too.

A white hooded figure passes by and spots the note, picking it up and looking at it, curious. It raises an eyebrow under its hood and smiles before speaking. 

 

"Although I doubt they will respond, I do admire your tenacity..."

 

It sets down the note in the exact same position and moves off, shaking its head.
