Patch 3.8: Enchanting

Hail, LotC. Just a single update for you to enjoy. In the spirit of bringing back the Minecraft to our server, Enchanting was repackaged, rebalanced, and reshaped to be open-ended and easily customizable. With RuneChant, you can shape either Emeralds or Diamonds into a so-called Glyph, a pre-defined pattern or shape. They are basically giant crafting tables! Knowing the best Glyphs or Runes is crucial to becoming a good Enchanter, so do not be afraid to experiment. Beware, however, that this is a rather consuming hobby.

Like Archemy, Enchanting will be modified and initialized in the coming days, giving you the best and most authenthic experience possible.

+ Enchanting system
+ RIGHT CLICK an Enchantment Table and shape it with Emeralds or Diamonds
+ If an item has durability, you can RIGHT CLICK with it on an Enchanting table to try to enchant it.
+ Recipes are secret for now

There's also some misc bugfixes and performance updates out there INCLUDING a dupe bug that was fixed. As always, report any new bugs that pop up on the appropriate forums. Happy Roleplaying!

NOTE: Enchanted items still banned until the next Server Restart due to some ongoing problems with SpecialItems. Hold tight, LotC

I'm quite grateful this plugin has come out, but I have a few questions.

1. How would it effect Dwarven Rune Smithing?

2. How would this effect Alteration magic?

3. Will the plugin be available to everyone, or will people who have discovered it and started to work with it in RP be the ones using it?

Question. Would actual skilled enchanters such as myself, Blundermore, Mith, Silvos and Blake receive a few recipes as when the Alchemy plugin was released?

I'm done!

So now we have enchanting? Awesome! Now how will it be regulated? Or are you just throwing plugins out to give the "Minecraft" Experience while killing profession rp.

1) Up to you. If you want to RP Runesmithing as you've had before I'm not stopping you (GMs might idk). If you want to change the lore to utilize the mechanics go for it.

2) It doesn't. The cast-types of Magic are separate and may implement enchants in their own way. We will make efforts to make each of them equally balanced, but not necessarily conjoined.

3) To everyone, as is the theme right now.

Features first, regulation later. These plugins can stand both on their own and easily be incoorporated into a professions plugin due to setup. Magic Plugin tries to release all at once and people do not seem to like it much.

Due to design this plugin can stand on its own easier than, say, Blacksmithing, for which I've thrown concept art around before. But in very broad terms, stuff that gets people on the Server instead of Forum gets plugged in with an accelerated rate. Sorry about that.

Eh I don't like restarting the server twice if there's no real need for it. When Tythus greenlighted this plugin he suggested a second set of eyes to help with the balancing of the actual recipes... once those are obtained we will kick it into gear.

Expect roughly the same release schedule as Archemy.

Most likely.

I advise that the same way that I had talked to the Alchemists about the recipes, you talk to runesmiths, enchanters and so on about the recipes for the runes.

Including what the enchantments give, and making it failr with their use in PVP. In other words, don't make those with knowledge on the recipes win every fight.

Nah they still say you're in creative and you can't enchant.

EDIT : Also...we can only enchant things with durability so...no enchanted sticks and all that stuff ?
