I think you should do it at 9pm gmt. Take it back 30 minutes. Because most GMT's will not be able to make it because they would be busy and the battle would take at least an hour to sort everything out in the right order. GMT's don't want to stay up all night to do this when they have school the next day.

I must say this intrigues me and if there is to be a battle on a massive scale you should be passing out some free iron armour after all don't you server people have like creative mode or something? It should prove to be an epic battle.
