No need to ruin peoples fun. )) ((Swords in general are pretty useless against any quality armor, and that's how I RP it. If I'm attacked with a broadsword, it might dent. It might knock me a bit. But that's about it. however on the other hand if someone tried to run me through or something with a strong sword, not a katana clearly, in a stabbing motion with a lot of power, like if they charged or if they were an orc or something, that's another story. lol)) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You're going to have to have a master katana maker, that has dedicated his entire life into making them. A katana is not a mass producible weapon as well, it takes a couple years to make a truly strong katana. I gotta say though, those of you who did most of the lore work here really made easterners interesting to play. And to the argument of the katana thing, its probable that they got the katana and wakizashi mixed up in regards to the one hand, two handed blade issue) Most shameful dark elves got ahold of them. And that you can't duel wield effectively, if at all? It would be far too cumbersome due to the length of the blade? thanks.)) I back everything up in this except for the armor part. Sort of. It depends on the armor, actually. A katana would be far superior to a longsword against leather or an unarmored person due to it's slashing capabilities. However, when fighting someone with iron armor, the stabbing of a longsword or European sword would allow for more leverage. A katana can still be thrusted however, so could still kill someone in armor, but against metal armors, the longsword is yes, far superior. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

They tend to dye it black in their younger years (20-80) and keep it white afterwards. The original sato did have black hair. Not only that Sato colors are Blue and white, opposite of Ishikawa.
