Thanks for putting this forth, Gaius! I do hope to see these changes in action, because I really do want to make this much better and fun for you guys ^-^

I'm still in boycott!!! Okay maybe not. 

It's good to see that the Metamind is gone. It's also good to hear that the vents will be heavily planned. From what I saw before hand it just seemed to be Harbingers show up at random and attack. Also, the cult of worm shall smite thee all.

Now then off to plan events for plan W 5000.

It's good that there are changes being made, but I still don't understand how Nation v. Nation conflicts were a failure as you said.  In my opinion, they're the best part of the server and the most dynamic as the heroes don't always win and it's not a generic Good vs. Evil scenario.  Sure it spread out roleplay but people still converged in hubs and when other nations wanted those players they destroyed the hubs and made their own hubs.  Personally I liked it more than the antagonist because it just feels and is a generic good vs. evil where the bad guys attack a settlement and get defeated or people whine to extremes when they loose.  People don't know how to loose anymore.

That and the personality cults that sprang out of the heaviest "time period" of pure nation conflict was quite sickening to see. Am I bashing it? Absolutely not, I love nation conflict, but also having a common foe to sometimes turn down the volume on pure nation conflict is beneficial. I try not to mention names as I know that e-reputations are as guarded as a father over his daughter, but I think you can see what I mean by the cults of personalities over the minecraft kingdoms.
