Letter To Abresi

If permitted by authorities, or read by a member of the King's council, a letter's message would be this.

Dear Council.

In the past years, I have noticed along with others, an increase in banditry in the lands of the Mali, the Uruk, and even Oren's territories itself. I'm sure what goes on beyond your borders is of little consequence, but there is indeed a troubling story behind it. Myself, and many others can testament to armed Knights bearing the sigil of the Decterum and Lucienists committing highway robbery and murder of travelers on roads and paths. I'm sure this is just the work of a few malcontent militiamen, but it has it's affects all the same. As a personal example, I was traveling to the Manor whereupon I work, when I was set upon by a large group of Decterum Militia. They accused me of the crime of 'Wearing pants', and 'Breathing.' I should also like to note, this was not within Oren territory. I was treated poorly, and blatantly robbed. Oren is better to endorse would-be flays, that much I know. It is in everyone's best hopes, that you can put a stop to these renegade militants.

Sincerely, Hamish.

"This is not Abresi's problem whatsoever. I cannot believe that this would happen, as the Decterum and St. Luciens do not commit highway robbery. For any further queries, perhaps you should speak directly to the Lord Marshal, Ailred Ruthern (SirSnowMan.) To claim that the Holy Kingdom of Oren supports banditry and endorses it, is quite offending and completely out-of-place."

Fredek Royce slams his fist onto the desk before him forcefully, snarling, "Is mace-catcher stark mad?! Why doubt law enforcement in Orenian territory when he speaks of affair that happened in some other shithole most likely plagued with like-minded imbeciles like himself? Half-blood most likely provoked Men of Decterum and was  given stated punishment consequently."

The youth crumples the parchment, throwing it into the fiery depths of a fireplace and nodding curtly.

Somewhere in Oren, on some road in Oren a halfling draws his shovel on a weary traveller,

"MINAS. OR BE... HUGGED~"

Oh the horrors of banditry.

Rymeul rubs his head slightly "Why is my family so... " He pauses, thinking for what to say. "...So.. 'Adunian'. Lucienists are not bound to Oren therefore may go beyond their borders. Aye, we follow the Orenian King, Heinrik I, as the Defender of the Faith, but our duty goes beyond his reign. If you have complaint, then come to face us yourself, come prove us wrong. We merely follow the Creator's Will through the infallibility of the High Pontiff."
