Proclamation Of Holiness

Father Peter stood atop the battlements of Vekaro, the wind settling enough for his voice to carry out to the crowd. The wind lashed against his robes, sending the many holy relics clattering against his clothing. Closing his eyes, settling his breath, and raising hands to the heavens he began to preach.

"Followers of God! Men of his Will! Hear hear. For the enemy you are preparing for is not of which you should assault! Are we fighting against the Dwarves, Orcs, or Elves?"

Several shouts from the crowd only confirm what he is saying. For they hollered to the Priest, "Aye!" and "Off with their heads!" But the Priest shook his head, for ignorance plagued their minds.

"It is not my knowledge of what the Creator has in store, but I /do/ know what he has intended us to do! We are not fighting against flesh, but the evil demons that control them! The Dark One controls his pawns in this great struggle, but the Creator gushes down forth a plethora of holy light upon his chosen warriors!"

The crowd murmurs, more eyes turning to the Priest.

"If God had not willed this great war, it shan't of happened! We are his chosen people, carried on our shoulders to deliver his will. Who shall take up arms against all the unholy creatures? Aye, the first may be those Orcs!"

Peter begins to project his point, raising his arms to the sky.

"They worship unholy spirits, and draw tainted, cursed, destructive magic from their corrupted beings. The Orcs cannot stand the last in this holy war. They must go first! So I ask those who sit in the righteous seats of God to, when the initiative is taken, to root the Orcs from their evil hold!"

The crowd remains silent, eyes fixed on the Priest for more words. His face falls grave, his words falling quiet.

"You have all lost sons and fathers in this war. The pain etched into the minds of you all cannot be cleansed by any sort of speech. But it can be revenged. Those of the blasphemous Treaty of Zion will meet the conniption of the Holy Kingdom of Oren. The war is raging on, but I ask you to fight for the Creator, and his advancement on the world.

May his light shine on you all."

((This is a serious RP post for all you Oreneers.))

Poppy stood in the back, having happened by the event and speech, and listened quietly. With her hood pulled up over her head, concealing her ears, her gaze cast downwards at the words. She didn't understand the reasoning behind it, but she felt.. some mixture of light fear and sadness.

"Why....?" She mumbled to herself quietly, looking around at the faces of the angry and proud, the extremists and the believers. Then up to the man who spoke. She blinked a few moments before turning her green-eyed gaze away and continuing on, thankful she was hidden from those that would seek to harm, and went on her way to her safe haven.

Father Hamish stands, crossing his arms, looking to Father Peter upon the battlements, his frayed, and muddied brown robes fluttering in the wind, a stark contrast to his luxury. He leans on his gnarled staff, looking over to him, then down to the people.

"Followers of God? Men of his will? Father Peter, God is in ALL! Not one man, not sects, or groups, but all, you cannot claim this simple justice without thinking heavy. All living things are from the Creator, I cannot believe that the Creator wishes his own creations to slay what he has labored and built from nothingness."

He pauses, looking to the crowd.

"I am an advocate of peace, but not through violence. I agree, somethings cannot be peacefully dealt with; such as the Brathmordakin; the Scourge; and the Spookmen. But, While this war rages, we throw too much blame upon our Enemy, and too much righteousness upon ourselves. We must humble ourselves to the Enemy, for that is what is truly righteous, no?"

He pauses once more.

"Men may deem what I say to be un-supportive of the war. I think not. If no one were to ever say, 'this is wrong', then all would be right, even the deepest of crimes. In time, we shall all see if we are the 'True' warriors of God, not just one among many."

He gazes over the crowd.

"I say this last. Seek mercy in your hearts, and forgive the enemy; they know not what they do. If we must fight them, do not demonize and seek to annihilate them, but fight them as we must. As I have seen, the Scourge have 'Aided' certain sides, and even our own, in spite to set the Kingdoms apart; and let us fall quicker. Retort that, if you will to the men who bandy foul accusations of Scourge Collaborators."

He takes a few breaths.

"The Light be in all of you."

A tall, strong built man in a suit of black armor and shield ready, listens intently, frowning behind the concealing darkness of his helm.

After the man had finished gushing his nonsense and dribble, Valdermar snorts.

"Bigotry will always cause the people it infests to crumble and die like they lived...Brainlessly..."

He turns, grunting as he stomps on the skull of a random kitten - he cares not if it was kha or a cat, he's just making a point. He grinds his foot into the kittens crushed skull, scraping the concrete with the pieces of bone before walking off, bits of brain sticking to the bottom of his boot and trailing behind him for a few steps.

Father Peter's eyes darken on the Priest. "The Zionists seek to crumble the holy hold of the Creator, Godanistan, and all within. You preach treason! The enemy seeks to force us their false gods and religion. But I tell you, none shall bow before any else other than the Creator! Let his will carry out, and let his Light shine upon those miscreants."

"No one cares about religion but you... I had suggest you come to acccept change, a new order shall be in place"the hooded figure what may be a man or woman says

A giggling child jumps up behind the hooded figure and goes to yank off his hood and/or entire robe. "Haha!"

The hooded figure dosn't seem to mind as the hood is torn down, its completely surrounding leather mask finishing just the below the collar of its shirt. The figure slowly reaches into its pocket and holds out a purple coloured lozenge

The kid squeals with delight and goes to shove said lozenge into her mouth and run off, giggling.

Wilfriche frowns. "But that is wrong, and I am proof of such."
