Peace Terms For Oren

A letter is sent by bird to the court of Oren.

“To King Heinrik Carrion of the Holy Kingdom of Oren,

With the defeat of your forces within the last elven day, we wish to offer you a final chance to end this war and bring about a true and lasting peace. Without agreement, we understand that the Black Scourge may thrive upon our disunity. Such can never be allowed to happen while mortal races still live and breath in the lands Yemekar has bestowed upon us.

We are aware that to march upon Oren would lead to the deaths of hundreds, upon thousands of innocent men, women and children. Thusly we believe that a fair and just peace is the only means of ending this conflict. Therefore, we within The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, shall accept peace under the following conditions:

- King Heinrik is to stand down from the throne of Oren. His successor may be put in power through whatever means the people and government of Oren see fit.

- Hostilities with the nations who signed ‘The Treaty of Zion’ are to be brought to an immediate end and peace reestablished.

- In future, Oren is to end any and all unprovoked attacks upon foreign nations, particularly when this may lead to an infringement upon their sovereignty.

We pray that you will choose to make the wise decision,

Grand King Wulfgar Grandaxe and the Lord’s Council of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.”

Vectis takes one of the copies sent to the court of Oren. Looking around to the various nobility and gentry, he steps towards the fire-place and holds the parchment above the flames. The paper catches in his hands and his fingers let it slip into the fire, burning 'til ash.

Prey feels as if Oren is being stupidly proud of themselves again.

Thinks one battle doesn't mean anything. As the dwarves said before one battle does not decide the war.

Iosif mourns over the loss of all five of the Oren soldiers as he reads the terms and sheds a single tear

"The Mirtokians have defeated us so bad there is no way we can recover!"

He brushes the tear from his cheek and a flower dies because so sad...

"N-never forget..."

Lord Marshal Ailred Ruthern sits among various Oren nobles around a table as they discuss the terms.

After letting each Nobleman speak,

he silently readies a quill and begins to write a letter in response to the Dwarven Nation.

"Feck Off"

-Oren

*He then looks to his fellow peers for feedback*

Vsevolod, a worthless strelt whose opinion means less then nothing, hears of the deliverance of the peace treaty and talks to himself

"What silly terms these are, could he not simply install a puppet successor and rule through him? Besides that, did the Dwarves HONESTLY believe that the king would agree to such terms? Niet, did they genuinely think that they would be met with a serious response after having fought a single battle in which the majority of Oren's forces were teleported home unharmed? I could go on about how much this baffles me, but my vocal character limit would not allow such."

Vsevolod carries on his chatter as he travels to the 5-man grave to those who lost their life during the battle.
