An Unexpected Departure

 

 

A large notice is left throughout the various territories of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. As one were to look at what it has to say, they would find scribed in thick gold ink reads the following words.

 

“To my kin, the sons of Urguan,

 

I write to you all this day with some level of regret at what I am about to tell you. For it is as many moons have passed, that I have ruled over the Grand Kingdom of Urguan to the very best of my ability. Together, we have endured countless challenges to take us to where we stand today. Yet we could not have done so without the help of those who have stood by one another’s side all these years. Shoulder to shoulder, we have stared evil in the eye and refused its grasp. Fighting and toiling to protect the state of the world we live in, we have emerged victorious. Yet it was never my wish to define the end of my reign in bloodshed. For we did what we had to and I pray by all the gods night and day that our decision was the right one. I can only hope that no longer must you fear the looming threat that once stood over you.

 

Fear not my kin. For now as my story has come to an end, many more like it shall begin. Those whose tales and legends will go on into the history of our people, echoing down into eternity forevermore. For we are a proud nation, united and unwavering in the face of evil. A people who have fought through thick and thin to attain our right to stand in this world as what we are. When I am gone and my soul is ascended to the halls of Khaz’A’Dentrumm, I ask that you never forget those who laid down their lives in the name of our freedom. It is they who we owe our very existence to.

 

Lord Zahrer Irongrinder, you are among the fiercest of dwarves I have ever known. Follow in Anbella’s grace and show yourself to be a leader among many when Urguan’s light is dimmed. Know patience and composure and you shall go far, my friend.

 

Lord Onar Ireheart, you are a brave soul who has stood aside the Grand Kingdom in its darkest hour. It was your diligence that led us to hope where there was once none to be had. I know that for all the years you watch over the Grand Kingdom, our people shall live in prosperity.

 

Lord Hogarth Irongut, you are the eldest among our council. It was you who entrusted me with the throne of Urguan and I do hope most dearly that I have served your expectations well. Live long my old friend and may we one day share ale together and speak of times long passed.

 

Lord Dizzy Irongrinder, you are the true brains behind our council. It is you who has bore the burden of the throne of Urguan yourself and so I am glad that with a fire undimmed, you go on and continue to serve us in this age. I foresee that fate will one day lead you to greatness.

 

Lord Fimlin Grandaxe, my cousin. You have stood by my side through every one of  the difficulties we have been forced to endure. It is safe to say that I am proud to name you among my kin. May you rise to eminence in light of my departure.

 

It has been both a privilege and an honour to have had the opportunity to work alongside such fine and noble dwarves. I pray that one day, when all our troubles are set aside, we may feast in the halls of the gods for eternity, side by side as brothers once more. You have all earned my respect. With that said, I announce before you today that I am hereby to stand down from the Obsidian Throne and relinquish the title of Grand King of Urguan. Now go my kin. Lead our people onwards once more and seek the glory you deserve.”

 

The parchment bears the seal of the the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, as well as the Grand King's own written signature.

Im not even concern bout that. No offense to Josh but the legion has been going down and I'd much rather see that redone and full out for 4.0. I would help but I need a new character, hiebes son XD))
