This is getting kinda ridiculous, people don't give two and a half shekels about news. I don't understand who you are targeting with this... New players have no idea what you're talking about because they're new and older players either; A - Don't give a hoot, or B - Heard about this 2 weeks before you posted this video.

 

 

Look at that. It is cool, it has fighting, it has cool animations, it shows exactly what the server is about in a concise way, and it makes viewers say "Wow, how can I become a part of this?" And that is what we need. Not biased (intentional or otherwise) news writers taking subtle jabs at other groups just because they died a few times to them. We need stuff that will actually draw players in and make the server richer, not overdone tripe that just gives the appearance of the MT actually doing things.

Actually i never called them "Infamous Trolls".

Back when I was in salvus, thats all I heard them called as.

However, many can agree we are glad to have the Rose back to strike real fear into roleplayers and more loveable villains and heroes, depending on whose side you are on anyways."

Maybe the thought wasnt conveyed as it should have been, which is a bad on my part. But it was meant to show "Yes these guys who we originally thought we hated and wanted gone are finally back. We were stupid in wanting them gone"

Aight, im gonna give my 2 cents, say what is wrong with this agenda and suggest a new one!

 

To begin with, this news thing, its just wrong lol, everything is wrong. For one thing, the content. You guys cannot catch up with actually current news. You covered news that happened last week, not the news that happened the week after. Everyone already knows the scourge is back or what ever. There was alot of stuff that happened this week that you didn't even cover. If you cant catch up with current news, you should just stop doing the news. 

 

Second problem, anchors and writing. I remember the one a few weeks ago, with emilyblackheart and whats her name I don't remember. It was really abysmal. The jokes were unnecessary and bad, it was just very cringe worthy and it probably didn't look good to new players who wanted to join. The writing as you see from this whole Jade thing isn't working as well. It's all just too slow, and too cringe worthy. The whole point of the media team is to publicize the server, and all its doing right now is scaring off new players with this sort of footage lol. 

 

Now, the new agenda. 

 

All of you frustrated media team members who don't know what the **** to do, just look to one member who I think individually does what the media team should do, zilldude. I mean look at the guy, he makes cool trailers, awesome cinematics and stuff. This is what potential applicants want to see! They want to see the cool part of LoTC, prove to them its worth for them to waste their time and write an application to join this server. Zilldude also does tutorials lol, which is also good. People go to our outdated wiki to check for info, but with tutorials and **** they can just watch tutorial and they are good to go. So yeah, do what zilldude does and you will be good in my opinion.

Getting upset about us not getting it out right away is not helpful. This is news on things that had happened. It was the pilot, sometimes you wont get 100% satisfactory the first try.

While it may work for now, we get concerned. Its controversial and something I personally do not condone. Than again, I am more concerned on what people think.

Alright, i'm not critiquing your writing specifically. I am critiquing the writing in general, as well as the LotC-BC. And if you can't keep up with the real current events you should just stop, like I said this program and idea isn't helping, you can be more productive and more appealing to other people. Its just that the footage and the content isn't really up to par for some people. Thats just what I am saying, for me it just doesn't flow, I am listening to old news and stuff that I just find inconsequential already, but this is just me. 

 

As for Zilldude's projects, I honestly cant possibly find a reason that his content is controversial. I am just suggesting that you go back to recording epic battles, make a cool trailer, and do some funny and nice tutorials, not at all controversial in my opinion. This is to publicize the server. It is honestly more appealing to new players more than anything. You can do much better if you continue to make that sort of content, and if it still stirs heat to the administration, then there is no point in my opinion, it will be very hard to bring our server in a good light with this sort of content.

If you're going to do these awkward news skits then you should at the very least do your research and put some more effort into it so you don't "unintentionally" take these subtle jabs at certain groups of players. It's completely uncalled for.

there werent any jabs. The white rose and I were on good terms and I never had any issue with them OOCly.

Sure they crippled a char of mine and drove another crazy, but OOCly they were nice and fun people to be with. Please, point to me where I take jabs at them.

Edit: There was no jabbing that I did at the white rose. You want to see jabbing, watch LotC with Me where there /is/ blatant jabs at people, GMs and Players. Yet Zilldude gets praised and I get scolded. *grumbles*

When some of you guys blatantly attack work ((thanks for the ones that did give good/constructive feedback)) that people have put days if not weeks of effort and love into the finally product. Do you really think that will help us in creating what you want? it only puts people off working for it with the bad attitude and attacks at every where you can get one in it doesn't give people a good motivation to get to work and finishes off and start new protects. Really want to help? leave some good, helpful constructive feedback Come up with an idea bring it up with a MT member or in a post or even better if you think you could help write an App and try get on the team and help produce the type of videos you want to see and remember we are all volunteers and most armatures that are always learning with jobs school and real life just like you only with more work on top for the media team and thank for the people that gave good feedback that we can take in and use to improve future videos

Forget about this **** storm Samsan, I am wondering about the limits of the media team. If you are able to make better and new content, is it object-able to do the whole trailer and cinematic agenda? Its what I want to know dude. I want you to gives us feedback on our feedback, you understand man?

People get angry and offer insults rather than constructive feedback because rarely is the constructive feedback ever heeded. No wonder people get mad. This is not only the case with the Media Team but with a lot of staff teams.

Alot of the feedback here and in the Survey we did was pretty good but it did give us very wide range of topics to delve into when we get the chance (( im looking forward to some of the ideas people gave us )) me personally i would like to see more ideas giving us a nice large idea/project (( One was posted a week or so ago im sorry i cant remember who did )) that was good it cover alot of the finer bits of the protect and helps alot more than just "A trailer or machinimas" and helps us jump strait in. Giving us a better rough idea on what we need for it film,story, picture and all the rest wise when we have the people for it. But also with the huge range people gave in feedback its going to be hard to try cover it with out upsetting some (( like a few people here )) and keeping projects going that need to be. sorry for posting none feedback stuff on the thread as well. Feel free to message me if you have more questions or ask on another thread (( maybe Your view: Media team)) for now its about time i headed to bed
