Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you a project that is hopefully going to be a smashing hit, the Lord of the Craft News!

 

Now as the title says, this is the Pilot episode and is simply to gauge interest and to gain feedback. That being said, please be constructive about your feedback.

 

Also, if you want to report some news yourself, you can do so with the following methods:

Though if you are insistent on a news outlet, perhaps the voice actors could sound a little more vocal, clearer and enthusiastic (not stupidly so) as well as a little less rehearsed.

While this is all fine and dandy, how about making some stuff for new players rather then for the players who know what half of this stuff is. Keep IC shite IC. A hell of a lot more better that way.

The problem is that we have had.... how many? Like, 5-6 different attempts at a news outlet now? Also, I have seen little no none in other aspects. It is good that they are actually doing things.... but why always news? The news is hardly even important... make things to bring in players, not recycle a washed up idea that only caters to current players

The intro was long cause pilot. It will be shortened next episode ^^

This is to inform both new and old. I will take care to add in some more information for new players. This was the pilot and we did not have much news. This is meant to be true news not comedy like LotC with me, nor a team report like MMH. It will be replacing LotC-BC as the main news. Thank you for the feedback and I will add some more stuff for the new players ^^

There seems to be too much of a focus on news in the Media Team currently and not IG footage, lore or trailers. The inherent flaw with news programs that aren't deliberately farcical (Lotc with Me) is that their news will be somewhat outdated or irrelevant. Focus less on news and more on things that will draw new players in, like location features, in-character stuff (e.g. Arcadius's Journal from Aegis) and trailers. We have enough news, if people care about it - Lotc with Me is, lets face it, good comedy with a dash of news. That works, no more needed.

 

TL;DR Less news, more content.

IC news belong to IC context. Make a bloody newspaper in character. Have people running around, gathering news and then selling the newspapers like they did in Aegis. You are essentially allowing, or promoting, people to metagame all of this. C'mon!

We do news to keep players updated on whats to come IC and OOC. Besides, as much as I like to make trailers to draw in new players, we don't need to push one out every week. One trailer every two months is good, but can't be done in a weekly process. As far as I'm concerned, this is to only keep you update with the server, plus it can help draw in new players, but obviously not as well as a trailer can.

OOC news are ok. Everyone would like to know about what new plugins are being made and stuff like that, but IC should be kept out of this.
