The Dwarven Engineering Guild

 

 
 
History:

          The Engineers of Urguan were officially founded in Mount Ire when the Grand Council was reformed. Since then the Dwarves have been constructing and using their inventions both domestically and for war.

Mission:
 
          Provide essential value to our members and partners, advance the technology of the Kingdom of Urguan into the future, and serve the public good. Serve the Kingdom of Urguan by producing talented, broadly educated engineers, conducting high quality valuable research, developing new cutting-edge technologies, and preserving technical knowledge.

Goals:

• Encourage the advancement of technology to enhance quality of living, knowledge, safety, and general well-being of the Kingdom of Urguan.

• Develop and support fellow engineers and to broaden our members' perspectives.

• To recruit, retain, and enable a community of skilled engineers.

Ranks:

Guild members are promoted based on the Guildmaster's observations.

1. Neophyte

• Pleb
• Errandboy
• Newly accepted into the guild
• Waits to be accepted as an apprentice
• Can not work on guild/nation projects... yet

2. Apprentice

• Knows basic knowledge
• Assigned as an assistant to an Engineer
• Can work on projects with the supervision of an Engineer

3. Engineer

• Competent
• Works in a workgroup/squad
• Aprox. 3 to a workgroup/squad
• Permitted to take a Neophyte on as an Apprentice
• Capable of Teaching Neophytes
• Can work on minor projects on their own and make repairs/minor enhancements to current minor projects

4. Senior Engineer

• Adept
• Leads a workgroup/squad
• Leads a small project (Project Manager)
• Can make repairs/enhancements to mid-level projects as well as work on projects on their own

5. Foreman

• Only one per three Senior Engineers
• Leads a large project (Project Manager)
• Receives Plans from the Draughtsman

6. Draughtsman

• Expert
• Drafts plans for certain projects
• Gives plans to the Foreman
• The draughtsman should be proficient in each path.

7. Master Engineer

• Guild Master (Master Engineer)
• Assigns projects to Draughtsmen for drafting
