And that's where it all falls down, because they'll go "Herpa derp you started this war you should surrender to us or we'll make a warclaim". 

 

Do you see has stupid this whole thing is, neither side wants to back down, neither side wants to loose. YOU CANNOT WIN. NEITHER OF YOU CAN WIN. Please understand this, it is impossible for either of you to win, you've both blown this up too much for that to be possible. 

 

An unconditional peace is the only way this can end, no terms in anyone's favor. Armistice. End of the conflict where neither side can loose or win. It is the best thing for OOC right now. 

 

You've all taken this war into OOC, it is no longer truly RP now. What matters now is mending the OOC behind the war, but that will not happen if one side is allowed to crush the other. That will only fan the flames, as will surrender for either side, because no side wants to submit.

I'm sorry? When half of Oren's military forces decided to leave LOTC due to unfair GM intervention the dwarves did not think twice to halt and agree to a truce while Oren was in OOC shambles. Instead they forced Oren to surrender or face a warclaim. What is the issue with simply accepting a defeat? Is it really that hard? When Salvus was sieged none of us cried and moaned. We simply nodded our heads and went on with RP. Accept a warclaim or surrender to Oren's terms. Those are the only options the way I see it.

Third party interventions actually made the war A LOT worse. The best thing anyone can do is stand back and just let us settle the matter. Believe it or not, the ooc attitudes over the matter have become generally lapse. There are a few things here and there that get pointed out, rule breaks and such but, the general feeling of anger has faded. The only people really acting up at this point, are the underlings and people with precious little pull in either side. AKA the vocal minority.

As for the war outcome, we're going to continue to RP on an RP server. Our OOC feelings will not come into play and our IC perspectives on methods of obtaining peace will not change, as it's been achieved through RP.

To each their own.

Nations can be rough but, the only way a nation is successful is supporting their leaders and acting as one. Even if the leader makes absolutely idiotic choices. You can attempt to give word here and there but, it's often best to just let them learn.

In the event the leader is an absolute failure, there's 'that' entire path to be taken but, the nation as a whole suffers.

 

'That' being rebellion, dethroning of kings and etc.

These are the types of players we want off our server. They are the players who think of war as some kind of OOC contest instead of something that's roleplay. They just feel the need to stir the pot by rubbing it in.

Here's an idea. Call a truce ICly and OOCly. Stop raiding each other. Stop attacking each other. Stop making videos of you guys pwning each other. This isn't WoW.  Your videos, RP posts of "ipwnn00bdorfsorenetc" are only stirring the pot and causing more unnecessary OOC hatred between each other. You guys are taking this war too damn seriously to the point where it's becoming an OOC competition instead of a war that is meant to stay IC.

 

If you can't handle yourselves maturely, then stop the war and call a truce.
