Moving To Gamevox

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and gals,

As you are aware by me posting this we will soon be migrating from teamspeak to gamevox for all our VOIP needs over the next couple of weeks. Why? might you ask well the answer is two fold:

  1. We get to move the voip server off our end which means that we can now get a minecraft specialized DDOS protection service which should mean less lag and better uptimes for our game server.
  2. More reliable teamspeak as we arn't shoehorning compatibility onto our current ddos protection system.

For all those who are going to move you will need our new link for our server which is this lovely button here

While we understand teamspeak has served us well I feel that the downtime has been happening too long and too often. They must be solved ASAP and by doing so I hope to solve it swiftly. All nation leaders will need to report to me by sending a PM to get perms in their respective nation leader channels.

Thank you for reading,

Tythus

Teamspeak is going away regardless it's too difficult to get it protected and it's restricting us on ddos protection for the actual minecraft server very heavily because of this

It's fine, most people have their own TS servers these days.

In a sense, yes.

Why can we not use the TeamSpeak server? I have been on other servers and use other servers daily and we rarely experience lag.

So the TS runs on the same server as the MC server and therefore runs under the same DDOS protection?

We have to take into account of the teamspeak server getting ddos protection and this usually restricts us in who can give us ddos protection for both the minecraft server and the ts server at the same time on a budget now we are retiring our TS server we can start looking at moving our ddos protection to a minecraft specialised ddos protection service rather than a generalist protection service.

So is the gamevox server now going to be hosted separate from the games server?

If so, then why can't we just host a TS separately?
