This Madness Must Cease

A series of letters would arrive at the desks/tables/whatevers belonging to the leaders of the various treaty organisations of the world, the Krughanistan Bloc and the Crimson-Silver Concordat, and in cities, posters circulate regurgitating the same message.

 

"The lands of the 'fringe', as it has come to be called, have been ravaged from the moment of our arrival by the perpetual wars fought between the Human and Dwarf led opposing blocs, the Crimson-Silver Concordat of the Elven people and the Human people, and the Krughanistan Bloc of the Orcs, Snow Elves, Dwarves and Alras.

 

In the past, there were conflicts, yes, however with the current state of politics between our races and their alliances, every small local conflict flares up into a global war due to the structure of the two opposing alliances which have been constructed over the course of these wars. This must cease. Infighting between our races brought us all to the brink of calamity when the Black Wyrm ravaged our lands, and through unified effort in a period of internal peace we destroyed the beast permanently, though I fear next time we might not be so lucky if the current state of events continue, we will decimate eachother to the extent that when we face whatever is to come in the future, we will be too weak to defend ourselves. Because of this, we will suffer, our wives and loved ones will suffer, and our children may not have a world to be born into, for we have faced, and will face many dangers in the future.

 

Peace must come between us and we must rebuild, for all of our races have a rich history and a vibrant culture, though we often do not respect one another, we are all mortal beings in a world filled with dangers, we cannot stay twisted against one another. I am a godly man and a man of Oren, though mistake me not, I blame myself and my own country to the same extent that I blame the involvement of any other. 

 

Though I am no Lord or King,I propose this directly to my emperor Peter Chivay, Grand King Ireheart and the other leaders of the races; the dismantling of both the Crimson-Silver Concordat and the Krughanistan Bloc, completely and totally, so that the nations of our world might have peace once again, something which we have grown unaccustomed to. More specifically, the terms within these two treaties which dictate that should any member be attacked, the others would come to their aid; the purpose of which would be to keep any necessary conflicts small, short and localized. I also propose a white peace and a commitment to punish any element within their respective nation that promotes any war of this kind of volume from occurring again, so that we may be prepared for the next great threat to all of us." - Drake Lancefeld

The victor to emerge would be the dominant nation in any said ordeal. It is to be called 'The Peace Games'." suggests President Zemophrenis.

Ronald Cassius takes a copy of the letter before the messenger leaves Vekaro. He reads through it all, intrigued that Ser Lancefield might be the one to end this bloody war.

 

He returns to his room, before looking at the Carrion banner hung up on the wall. Quietly, he whispers to himself, "No matter which way this war goes, I'll fight for Oren. Ave Orenia, Ave Carrion."

There is no reason other than to satisfy the warmongering bortu. The valah have protected my kin, treated us with respect and have a decency for the culture of the mali.
