Biography (Early life only):

Chapter 1:

Jeffery had an unfortunate start in life, he was born to a

mother who was neglectful and unable to care for him and his father, a
whitewash orc. His father was gone long before he was born, leaving him with
only his mother, who did very little to take care of him. It wasn’t until three
years later, when his mother fell ill that he first met his father. He showed
up, as if out of nowhere only weeks before his mother passed and took him away
as he was now responsible for this unwanted mistake, but as the ways of Orcish
honour dictated, this unwanted mistake was now his responsibility for him to
take care of, but how well he cared for Jeffrey didn’t seem to matter.

Jeffrey was at this point, his father’s burden. He lived a
life of the road with his father, surviving only off of the scraps of food that
were left in his wake. He was often abused and beaten, as he was the
everlasting reminder of a meaningless night, years ago. His father was not a
cruel being, relatively he was a noble orc, but his disappointment in Jeffery
was what sparked such hostility towards him, if only Jeffrey’s blood had
favoured his orcish side a little more and he had gained the bloodlust of an
orc, would his father perhaps have put up with him. But unfortunately, this was
not the case and due to Jeffery’s human prominence his father saw him as
nothing more than a waste of life. Jeffrey spent two years in this violent and
inhospitable relationship, luckily it would soon come to an end and he would
make it out alive.

After the two years travelling with his unwanted son, his
father had almost no tolerance for Jeffrey and would often beat him within
inches of his life. It was due to an unforseen change of heart that Jeffrey
survived, for whatever reason rather than dumping him in a ditch on the side of
the road or leaving him for the wolves, his father decided to abandon Jeffrey
at Abresi. Jeffrey was found outside the front gates by a group of locals,
being wailed upon by his father. Several men held his father back, as he was carried
into the city by a woman, this would be the last time that Jeffrey saw his
father. The woman that took him tended to his wounds and fed him, leaving him
at the tavern. It was here that he was given his name by a local man who gave
him a place to stay, upstairs in the Tavern.

For his first year in Abresi Jeffrey spent his days
wandering the streets, he began to learn the ways of humans, their language and
social norms, surviving off the scraps of food that strangers would spare and
spending his nights at the tavern. In his second year, his sense of morality
was bestowed upon him by a priest, who told him that good things will happen to
those who do good and bad things will happen to those who do not. The analogy
used, was that if he were to share his food with others, they would in turn
share with him and if he did not, he would not receive any. As he was only
young, Jeffery misinterpreted this slightly; this was where his give and take
mentality came from. He decided that it was okay to take, as long as he gave
some things back in order to balance his karma. It was then that his habit of
nabbing small things started, what would become trait that would become more
significant later in his life.

Jeffrey had become accustomed to his life in Abresi, he wasn’t
exactly well off but he was prospering on the streets, he had learnt various
skills from those he met on the street to help him get by, he had food in his
belly and a pillow beneath his head. This prosperity came to an end, on a cold
winter night, a few days before he would turn seven, not that he knew on which
day he was born. It was late and Jeffrey was playing with several other
children on the street when a figure he recognised but thought long gone,
walked through the gates of Abresi his father had returned. He was looked over
by his father when he arrived, the other children scattered, but Jeffrey
remained alone with his father. He didn’t understand why his father came back,
but he was told that he would no longer be staying with the humans. His father
picked him up and carried him down to Malinor, leaving him there yet again. But
before his father set off once more, he spoke to his child. He told him that
Jeffrey was not to tell anyone about his father; he also told him that he
should start calling himself Raven, he would understand when he was older. This
mysterious night was something that Jeffrey would often think about, he had no
idea what exactly had happened, only that once again he had to start a new
life, in a new city.

Jeffrey slowly began to settle in malinor, he found a place
to sleep under the docks and begged for food as he did back in Abresi. A man he
met whilst begging told him that he needed to get off the streets, to make
something of himself. This man was another stranger who’s advice would impact
his life in later years, but for now Jeffrey had no way off the streets and
nowhere to go, so he reverted to his old ways and did all he knew how to do,
survive.

Chapter 2:

Jeffrey had been living on the streets of Malinor for just over a year now, he had become increasingly good at pickpocketing as it was his means of getting by, he had come up with different, creative routines by which he would aquire his loot. He had never had any true issue with being caught, until one night his plan went wrong.

After finding out about the inherent wealth of a citizen of Malinor, he decided that robbing this person's house may be a good idea to score himself a few nights food and shelter. However, due to unfortunate timing and rather bad luck, he was caught in the act by his victim while attempting to pick the lock, barely managing to escape with his profit. It was after this poorly pulled off heist, that Jeffrey's luck with the law took a turn for the worse.

The individual whom he had wronged, began making posters, telling guards and sending people after him. He could no longer freely pickpocket on the streets which he called home, as people knew what he was up to. His good life in Malinor had been ruined due to his own mistake, but Jeffrey did not see it this way, he placed the blame on the person he had robbed and he made the decision that before leaving Malinor, as he could no longer prosper there, he would leave this individual with a surprise in their home whilst they were out.

Jeffrey had become increasingly hardened whilst being homeless in Malinor, he had made many friends, learn't many lessons but also made some enemies. This decision to defile a home, did not come lightly but was one of the first things to have an effect on his moral outlook. Usually Jeffreys crime was petty and innocent, but for the first time he set out with intention of revenge to the one who had wronged him.

He has lived so long without repercussions to his actions, that he can't understand what is right or wrong to do, his line that he trys to ballance of doing right and wrong became distorted and unclear as Jeffrey's true morality began to form. He posed the question to himself "How is destroying property any different to taking it?" this thought was what led to his decision to become a vandal.
