I guess no need for fancy words, but our frp community is pretty dead due to our community itself. I'd like to design my own take on any of the options listed, and see if it could be a change from the usual template we always tend to use.

I'm sure there's some people left that would love to commit to a new and possibly kewl forum role play...right?  :huh22:

Modern always gets the most interest, but I wouldn't mind a space one, or perhaps fantasy (high, low, whatever).

How about a Claudius-Era Empire FRP?

I was thinking of making a nation FRP where each US state and Canadian Province becomes its own nation after the nations falls out.

Honestly I'd throw down and help you all, but that means people have to stay interested. I rebooted my "After the Apex" FRP to prove that folks wouldn't actually stick to it.

Please add Classical and Fantasy to the list. I suppose Feudal would be interesting as well.

Or Classical Fantasy a la Age of Mythology.

Seems it is leaning towards Feudal, I'm going to sound stupid by asking what the hell is Feudal nation FRP?

Do a Fuedal first player game. We had one a while ago, but it was never finished. A group of soldiers go on a quest etc, and the creator of the frp leads it. Maybe a medieval zombie first player thing also. Just throwing out ideas

We all need to really figure out what is the most engaging way to play out FRPs. I've seen your run-of-the-mill Nation FRP where people play out nations sort of like Nation Simulators - I've seen FRPs of zombie outbreaks where everyone plays out the role of a surviving single person - I've seen FRPs where we play out a Civilization-type overlook with battles determined vis-a-vis strategy games.

PS: Yes, guilty of advertising but I think perhaps a neat game to play is www.visual-utopia.com , a strategy game where you can write out your own history day by day. We can all team up or something.

What about making it so that everyone cannot have their own faction: they have to team up with say 5 people. They would each perform different functions in the nation: maybe one is the general, the other is a ruler of a city in that nation, one would be the Royal Eye and perform intelligence/espionage operations on foreign powers, etc. One would also be the de jure ruler, and act as so. But if the person who plays the ruler goes inactive or quits, someone else's character from that nation becomes the new ruler, and another person is allowed to join the nation to fill in the gap (a nation also cannot have more than five players).
