Honestly, I stopped caring about 4.0 back in March. All hype, gone.

 

The only reason I want it to come out anymore is so I stop having a feeling of "This is gonna be gone in a couple weeks" every time I start something.

If you haven't learned from prior map transitions the general tactic is to bleed out the hype until the playerbase is crushed and dead inside. Once that objective is completed then they wait a bit longer before finally releasing the map.

In all seriousness it seems developers and the likes who make the executive choices for 4.0 are more concerned about achieving some sort of perfection with this map. Personally I think the server would be happy with a half assed map and some decent foundation plugins as long as they knew that they would still be on that map for 6+ months.

I touched base with Telanir and he told me that making the regions shouldn't be a problem so I'm grabbing a few GM's and hoping to get them finished by early next week. (i'll be working on them while out of town this weekend.)

Once the regions are complete I'll make a fifth and final 4.0 update - hope this helps!

Tbh this was the worst planned event I've seen in any game.  You had a chance to start early and finish as summer started but summer is now almost over and right now it doesn't feel like 4.0 is coming out any sooner.  And I know there is more that could of been done, I've been on these build servers.   **** gets built and torn down and built again over and over lol.

 

Perfection is not what makes a good map, you really have to stop this mindset with further map developments.  These hand sculpted worlds are aesthetically pleasing and all but there is nothing better than a good MC generated map.
