The night's arrival brought with it an unusually strong chill, brushing across an old Sage Natayshi's fur with brittle fury, pushing against each hobbled step she took towards the moonlit temple, its majesty causing her to stop momentarily before it in observation. Much to her surprise the temple loomed over her in a hostile manner, she did not feel this place to be her home, but a place of danger and woe. These alien thoughts troubled her, but she continued on her familiar route into the temple, carefully making her way down the steps towards the base of the Moonpool. Yet again strange, where the water would usually ripple and sway gently, it sat perfectly still, and perfectly silent, like a sheet of glass.

With a light shrug she turned away from the Moonpool, but before she managed to take a step towards her chambers, her eyes widened, ears perking upwards, for what she heard scared her most of all - nothing. No sound could be heard anywhere, the jungle bustling with life could not stir a mouse, it seemed that even the torches mounting the walls refused to produce their familiar crackling. With this, she halted her advance and turned back to the Moonpool, her breathing heavy as she sat by its base, crossing one leg over the other. She allowed herself to enter the warming state of mind she required to Moongaze, her body rigid and heart pounding. The pool before the weary sage shone brightly, reflecting the dazzling white light emitting from the Kha's eyes as she fell into the trance that was Moongazing.

The signs she had witnessed were surely a calling, a calling from Metztli to see her curiosity sated. And as if to confirm this belief, the Goddess answered the Moongazing instantaneously with a flash of white light, knocking the Sage hard onto her back, but still did the vision continue, sustained by Metztli herself rather than Natayshi. The light came with a sharp buzzing, both of which began to fade into an image of... Fire? No, a circular ball of flame that she would instantly recognize as the Sun, its blood-red eye staring hard back at the Sage. Never before had she seen an image so clear, and much to her surprise it continued, some text forming beneath the image of the Sun:

Absyyl

The Sun's name. Metztli had revealed to Natayshi the name of the enemy! All the evil in the world had a name, and it was one she wouldn't soon forget. But as she attempted to leave the state of Moongazing, she found herself unable - something other than her was maintaining the connection as yet another image began to form, distorting from the previous one. Her attempts to scream failed, or rather, could not be heard in her current state of mind as the second image soon appeared. The next vision appeared to be a giant black wolf with a single, glowing red eye, breathing a stream of fire against Metztli's shield against the Sun's burning rays, and yet it seemed to be failing, the Kha' below it thrown into panic. But no, not just Kha'. Humans, dwarves, elves, orcs and humans too, all the races were scared, cowering beneath the great one-eyed wolf.

Still she would scream but gain no satisfaction from hearing them, her silent prison continued as the final image began to form. This one was very clear, terrifyingly clear. For the image that sat in her vision was simply the holy trident of the Kharajyr, submerged in flame. The destruction of the Kharajyr, and of all things, was to come. But the future was never certain, she convinced herself of this. She had foreseen things which never occurred, or performed actions which resulted in the vision being unable to occur. She knew this must be her quest - from this point onwards the Kharajyr would be at war, at war with the Sun itself, Absyyl.

And so the prophecy came to a most abrupt end. Her vision was instantly restored and she found herself far across the temple from where she had sat, laid across her back, with a Kharajyr priest, Ja'Raska, leaning over her and shouting in a panic. A brief lift of her head showed his concern - claw marks and battered temple items lay littered across the temple floor, it seemed her mental panic wasn't so mental after all. After a few moments of mindless murmuring, she managed to get across one sentence to the priest:

"Gather the Kha'. Light the torches."

*A poster was placed around the Kharajyr's island after hearing the rumours of this prophecy.

So the Sun God is called Absyyl. It is not he who will destroy us, it is the corruption of those that not believe him as equal as Metztli. Our Goddess. The corruption of the dark souls who seek violence and blood will turn this world to flames.

You seek advice from a mad crazy Sage who fears of this God and blames everything on him. We seen the world in the dark, scaled creatures, magically apes. All by Metztli. If a shadow wolf comes with fire, it would be Metztli's creation to test us.

All Gods must be respected or all will be lost.

"The Moon and Sun must rejoin as one. As long as corruption remains, the world burns."

After hearing the news of Natayshi's communion with mother Metztli, Morthawl stands watching the expanse that is Athera from high up on the tallest of the two stone mountains.  His tired eyes straining as people the size of ants wandered the roads and haggled at caravans.  He then looked to the stars in the sky, to his ancestors, and he kneeled before them.

"Metztli ees weeka' now because awv us, Yhl'ac'dunc. Morthawl begs, give him thaw wisdawm tu rival this evil.  Morthawl will nawt let Metztli fall tu thaw fiya' awv Absyyl!"

He stands finally, letting a furious roar thunder down from the mountaintop.

"BLESSED BE THE MOON, AND DAMNED BE THE SUN!"
