The Edict of Aanenburg

Edicts are distributed across Oren and town criers are seen reciting the legislation’s contents. Within the capital, the sun beats down on the backs of the numerous merchants, craftsmen, and guardsmen tending to usual affairs. Their humming of labor and trade is ushered to silence as the crier’s plea diverts their attention.

“Hear ye’, hear ye’, good folk o’ Oren! The Emperor Boris the First has seen it fit to bestow a new name upon our glorious capital. From this day forth, the epicenter of mankind shall be known as “Aanenburg”. Furthermore, a festival is to be arranged in commemoration of our city’s flourishment and a united humanity once more. The Creator smiles upon us on this day!

Cheers emanate from the site of the capital as the populace’s drive to serve God and country is rejuvenated. They pursue their daily tasks with newfound determination and vigour.

((glory to senda the hardest working orener of all time))

Ciera Lefevre blinks as she spots the notice, walking through the streets of Petrus Aanenburg.

"Aanenburg. Aldersburg. People are going to get confused," she mutters to herself, wrapping her shawl tight around her.

In the great keep of Angren, a lone Sparrow revises some paper work- however he hears news of the change in name of the Capital.

Castor Sparrow groans at the mention of the new capital name, "Bah... Analberg is no name for a true and proud city." He sucks in hard now, spitting a large bundle of phlegm onto the floor- returning to his large pile of recruitment documents.

Raigeki Kato sits at his steward office in Vanderfell. It is there he hears of the Orenian capital's name change. His brows arch up in surprise as he writes the name down for future reference, taking it to memory. He looks to one of his deputy stewards sitting beside him.

"Sounds a lot rike Aldersburg. Too many burgs. At least they brought back the 'A' tradition lost in Vekaro."

He resumes work on Aesterwald's documents.
