Your View: Teamspeak Automation

Hi guys and gals,
 
I've been looking at the thought of possibly automating Teamspeak to a certain extent to make the main three following effects.
 

1. Account Validation
   
   To access any more than the public area in the team speak you will need to verify your LOTC account if your account isn't verified you cannot leave a select few channels. A side effect of this means that any player who is banned on the game will automatically be banned on his team speak verified account.
    
2. Automatic VIP Channels & Town Channels
   
   This would be the automatic creation, moderation and maintenance of VIP and Town channels. This could range from if the owner of a town changes the channel leader / the promotion to council elder for channel half-op it would change automatically or setting what rank your buddylist friends have automatically in your VIP channel.  
    
3. Auto Cleanup
   
   If a channel has no users who have the ability to moderate or some other specified requirement is on the TS server the channel will be automatically cleaned up.

 

Now I'm sure more features will be added later but is this deemed as an acceptable method?

I think this is a good idea, it also prevents anyone to attempt to use another person's persona/name to commit any inappropriate activities.

Great idea. Will prevent randoms from flooding the teamspeak, it has happened before.

yes and no I could I suppose force them to use that persona name but I'm unsure if the names are unique any more although it would ensure that person actually controls that name. In later updates we could merge forum avatars and others

How exactly is one verified? Very few Global Moderators actively use the TeamSpeak. Though, the same goes for members in all honesty.

Simply put you would type out /validate send [yourts3name] your account on TS will then receive a message with a  code in it then it's just /validate code

 and they are validated.

like everyone's said, 95% percent of groups have private ts3s. this'd be nice, but it seems a bit excessive imo.

I think we should give up on TeamSpeak in the first place, and save up to use the money for other server funds. I don't think anyone uses the Lord of the Craft TeamSpeak anymore due to the abundance of newer, private ones.

It's a good idea if you can get players back into the Official LoTC TS but that's going to be difficult because everyone and their grandmother has their own personal TS for various reasons. also how about that gamevox
