Which rule to you agree with most: Player harassment, blackmailing/ discrimination is forbidden. Why? Because there is already too much of that in the world. Might aswell moderate it on a game to ensure fun

Definitions

 

What is roleplaying: Taking the role of an imaginary character and acting it out. Like a good actor, a good role-player must know how this imagined character will act/react to certain situations. Essentially we are taking the role of something other than ourselves, and acting out that role

 

What is metagaming: Using knowledge unkown to the character you role play, to your player's benefit. Such as seeing Jimmy through the wall with mc mechanics, or knowing that assassin group X lives in shady underground cave Y because of forum posts (Then acting on it in character)

 

What is powergaming: Powergaming is roleplaying a character with the attempt to maximize progress/benefit to ones self(Occasionally others) with disregard for others/context/theme/realism. The deliberate creation of players who has the ability to do seven backflips while killing 9 children with a spear, while cooking an egg is an example of power gaming. Those who powergame tend to be very self-focused, always trying to build their character up without thinking of the wants of others

Highlight of backstory

Mizziyrn was born just before Native's founding of Malinor(before the server starte, correct? If this age is incorrect, please inform me in the post below. The server has not made it clear how long it has been since the beginning of the server. ) in a clan of dark elves who lived apart from the other elven people. He was the first born son to the leader of his family. In this brief, yet peaceful existence, he was taught the philosophies of his people: hunger for knowledge, establishment of order, peace and prosperity, reverence for life. However, not all the minds of Dark Elves are as peaceful as Mizziyrn's clan. A war waged between the two people-groups that lead to the total destruction of his family/clan.

 

He then traveled alone for many days, eventually finding the newly created elven state of "The Holy Princedom of Malinor". As a refugee, he had no coin to afford any homes or land so he joined the Wardens. He fought in the elven military until the end of Aegis, fighting the undead and Uruk slavers alike.

 

When the ships fled from Aeigs and landed on Anthos, Mizziyrn began to wander once again as a refugee. He saw the elves splinter into two factions, those of malinor and Healun'or. He never did care for the nature focused elves of malinor (He is not a nature obsessed elf, he would rather live in a practical stone house over a tree home. Reverence for life doesn't mean bring out the LSD/Weed and drum circles and become a tree living hippie). He was never allowed to set foot into healun'or, as he was a dark elf. The two choices were to make his way down to the depths of Menocress, or remains a wandering elf once more.

 

He foolishly choose the former. In belief that the inhabitants of Menocress were Dark Elves just like him, he expected to assimilate easily, instead he met a brand and chains. He was enslaved for three months, before he escaped to the surface. The mark of his master still on his shoulder, and a hatred for evil/chaos in his heart.

 

He refused to join malinor, they had made peace and amends with those who marked and tortured him. Instead of justice against the injustice he faced, the elven government enabled their evil to continue. Those who shared his distain for the Mori'quessir lived behind the shinning walls of Haelun'or and would never allow him entry. He choose the life of a wanderer once again.

 

He remained in the wilderness for the rest of his days, occasionally conversing with the occasional hunter/adventure. He'd meet patrol from the lands of men, who sought to spread their misguided ideals of "peace" and "order". He'd fight them or avoid them. Having few interactions with humans, he believes all humans to be of this same blind zealotry for their god/leaders.

 

Years passed and centuries end. An unhealthy blend of curiosity and loneness brings him to the fringes of elven lands, to the gates of haelun'or.

 

What are they like:

Friendly and kind to fellow elves, arrogant and anger around those of other races. He has a poor outlook on life, becoming an extreme pessimist. He is very curious and seeks knowledge whenever possible. Despite being a dark elf, Mizziyrn will avoid conflict at all cost. Even if he is forced to fight or it's justified, he holds distain for the act still.

 

What are their ambitions: Mizziyrn's only ambition currently is survive. (I mean the guy lived far from society for years, he doesn't have much ambition starting out)

 

Special skills/Weakness

 

Mizziyrn is a survivalist and hunter. He can tell you how to properly gut and skin any animal, despite how strange. He favors a sword over a bow, but he is hardly anywhere near an expert at it. He is a very friendly and intelligent person. (The former part depends on the setting)

 

He has a strong distaste for uruks, humans, and dwarves. Like any good elf, he finds them all to be disgusting/ugly barbarians and will very rarely work with them. He lackes the knowledge of others due to isolation/military/slavery, making him appear less intelligent.

He has white hair and red eyes. He stands at normal dark elf height (6 foot tall). Average looks and average build(leaning a bit on lanky).
