The Sovereign Republican Principality of the Aerite Oasis

 

 

“Land where the sun shines true,

On mesa red, and river blue,

I call home to the motherland sweet,

Aerite I am, and my pride I keep.”

 

Locked away from the world of warring kings and petty nobles, the capital of Aeros, The Red City, is nestled between the great clay-packed mesas of the north. Here reigns reason, truth, and honor. The people of Aeros defend their homes and expand their borders, but do not backstab or slander. Decisions are made in public, a thing of the people, and the government is transparent and accessible to the common man.

 

Still in its early years, Aeros needs citizens, soldiers, farmers, craftsmen, and officials. Our numbers have grown sixfold in the last few Saint’s Days, so join up while there are still positions of importance and protected land open for you!

 

Economy:

Unregulated and untaxed, trade represents the growing future of Aeros. All merchants and trade companies interested in setting up shop in Aeros should contact the Governor for a charter, land, and recognition in the monthly listing of Aerite businesses.

 

 

Service:

Military service in the Order of Aeros is entirely voluntary, and our soldiers are the bravest hearts in the mesa. Citizens looking to be order members should contact the Governor or Marshal to enlistment and reap the rewards of free housing, armor, and wages.

 

 

Government:

The Governor rules at the head of the city-state, in charge of making executive decisions when necessary and ratifying the council’s decisions.  The Governor appoints his own successor by will prior to his death.

 

The republican council is responsible for making the everyday decisions of the nation, each member contributing their personal expertise and vote.

 

To join the council, send a petition to the Governor. He will then put it up to a vote by the existing councilmen to determine your acceptance status. You can only petition for a council seat twice.

Chase Weischoff nods in satisfaction as the independent principality of Aeros begins to take it's shape. He then wonders how the humans are planning to grow when the bet on each other's failure.

Prince Otto would note the Northern Mesas are quite large and expansive.
