Outside the walls of Leyulin an old elf sits scribbling away at a book, he is leaned against a cart filled with black pieces of armor and golden artifacts. Upon approaching him he would exclaim that he is the local expert on the mali'krafeh, Corpse Elves of the Pale Horde. In common knowledge, feral elves from the deep unknown of Fiandria.

He is open for questions on his knowledge of the feral elves and of their culture.

"What do you wish to know, llir?"

((I've been going around Fiandria talking to the populace and decided to streamline RP for those not able to get on into a forum rp! Hope you enjoy, anticipate more events with the ferals and PM me if you wish to interact with them or the scholar in game!))

Diana raises a hand to question the scholar and then addresses him with a chilled tone.

"If you know so much, why are they attacking us?"

Alskagh, wearing gilded bronze armor in which includes a mask and helm, approaches the cart, curiously examining the armor and artifacts. "How much are you selling these?"

"Are they ame, ker, or aheral, and how long have they been in fiandria? Only recently the forest has ceased being enchanted."

((sorry for minimalist post, I'm on my phone))

"It is difficult to completely discover from which subrace they originate, it is possible they are from a time when the distinction among subraces was not so obvious. From my research I have gathererd that they have lived in Fiandria long before the settling of the descendants in the forest, but long ago lived above ground with no shelter only taking refuge from the elements in their massive forest, protecting the trees like a dog its pups. They retreated to the caves perhaps when the descendants landed in Athera, or many years before hand."

"From what I've gathered they are attacking because they feel this is their home, and as the wood elves and high elves and dark elves cut down trees around and in Fiandria, they feel that a threat has arisen to the sacredness of the forest. As well as being simply territorial and defensive of the trees that they once populated in the thousands, there may be an underlying more ancient reason."

"Why do they speak like an orc?"

"The lower caste of society amongst the ferals, the warriors and simple tribesmen, lack the knowledge to pick up words of the races, and instead speak in their own barbaric tongue. The higher classes, such as the Warchiefs, and their direct servants, as well as  the Prince have seemed to grasp the a little bit of the language of ancient elven and some common. The Prince has not been seen above ground in years, instead he has been sending his warchiefs to raid and attack the "false mali" as the ferals have come to call your kind."

"They are not for sale."

Alakagh turns away from the cart, sighing, and he approaches to the old mali. "What kind of religion do they believe in?"

"A pagan religion centered around animal like gods. Probably originating from the animals of Fiandria."

Dak'ir wanders up to the gathering, furrowing his brow at the pointless question.

"Do they know any magics? A basic type of shamanism perhaps? Given their nature."
