LotC's convention will likely always be fantasy over realism, especially when realism is cooler. We're stuck with back quivers and never piercing armor for the precious balance. : (

I used to do archery, was pretty good. I see the logic in what this guy is doing, it's actually relatively realistic compared to what most would think.
