[Roleplay][Idea] Orphanage.

Hello LOTC, I had an idea that had to do with families. This often gets them in trouble RPly b/c they are either looked at too highly or lowly. From my experience of doing this, It hasn't worked for me. I'm proposing we have an 'orphanage' where you can say you come from, instead of lying about your family past. Obviously, if you have a family, you wont have to say this. Is anybody else tired of people lying about their past?

 

 

     P.S, I will actually be building an Orphanage if this is +1'd enough.

+1, I love the idea, I think that this will make new characters almost more valuable, nobody enjoys having to rp that their family was slaughtered by orcs or something and that is why nobody is RPing their family, this is a wonderful idea :D

We've had a few orphanages before, though they always end up moving and then go incredibly inactive.

I like the idea of an Orphanage as a place to store all the orphan characters.

...that too. People like to play the broken child with no one to love them, even if plenty of people are offering.

So often so, that orphanages feel hopeless.

I had an Orphan Orc once, Ztik. The orphanage Roleplay was surprisingly fun and refreshing.

I ran a brothel that turned into an orphanage.

 

Nobody wants to live in an orphanage tbh, orphan chars are just a quick way to free a character from familial ties (and in LoTC's case, the arduous process of getting people to play your family)
